Abstract

Leadership in an organization's is an important factor in an organization's success toward a set goal. To answer and solve the various problems that occur in organizational leadership in vocational high school (SMK) Satrya Budi 2 Perdagangan requires specifically a training program. This,training useful provides a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of leadership. Student council leaders are required to learn to understand the basics of leadership so that later in the day leading their members can have a disciplined and responsible attitude in achieving organizational goals. In addition, this program is implemented to form shaping personality character and hone soft skills that which will be useful to them after graduate and entering the workforce. The results of this devotional activity are expected to provide a comprehensive picture of the basics of leadership. And with this leadership training is expected to be able to base or underlying students, especially student council members, about/by understanding the leadership knowledge and fostering the spirit of leadership on him in the future.

Abstract

This research was conducted to increase students’active involvement in their speaking ability by using the Think-Pair-Share Technique. The researcher wanted to find out whether or not Think-Pair-Share Technique can increase the students speaking skill and to analyze the classroom situation when the Think-Pair-Share Technique is implemented in speaking class. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR)  and composed for two or more cycles then it observed and evaluated to identify all facts including the success and the failure of the action. It means that the action should be stopped or continued and revised to the next cycle based on the selected criteria of success. After the implementation of Think-Pair-Share Technique in every cycle, the students’ speaking score were getting better. It can be seen from the result of students averagescore Cycle 1 was 65.17 and Cycle 2 was 74.81. It can be concluded that Think-Pair-Share Technique canincrease students’active involvement in their speaking ability.

Abstract

The Pre-Employment Card Program is a work and business capability development program that focuses on job seekers, laborers or workers who have finished their working period, and workers or workers who need to improve their skills, including those who have macro and micro businesses. One of these government programs aims to reduce unemployment due to the economic impact of the Covid-19 virus outbreak. Decision Support System is an effective system used to produce calculations with the output in the form of ranking. And the purpose of this research is to build a decision support system by analyzing the selection of Pre-Recipients of Pre-Employment Cards with the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Method. The data source of this study was obtained from the distribution of questionnaires/questionnaires which were distributed randomly to the people of Tempel Village, Kerasaan Rejo Village, Pematang Bandar. This study uses 50 alternatives and 7 criteria.

Abstract

English is an international language that use by many people in this world. Human used English to make communication in daily life. It can help human to make connection with other people, nation country in this world to get information. As we know in learning English there are four skills, they are: speaking, listening, writing, and reading. Vocabulary is also an essential skill for learning to read, speak, write and listen. Without sufficient vocabulary, people cannot communicate and express their feeling both in form of spoken and written effectively. Nowadays, the students must improve their vocabulary because in their school, they are not only learning vocabulary in English lesson, but also in other books, there are also some English vocabularies that must be known by students. In improving student vocabulary, the students need some method or technique. The used picture of media will be needed to help the students in teaching-learning vocabulary. Picture is one of visual material in teaching that well established. This researcher experience at learning practice program in SMP YPK Pematangsiantar, many of students were lack of vocabularies.The students had many problems in mastering English words and this situation made them to be lazy to study English. One of the strategies can be used to solve the problems in teaching English is using media. As what have been mentioned previously, the purpose of this research was to find out the effect by uding Picture media on students’ ability in english vocabulary at grade seventh SMP YPK. Researcher chose two classes as the sample that divided into two groups are VII-6 as Experimental Group and VII-4 as Control Group. From all the analyzed data, it is found that there was a significant using Picture media on students’ ability in English Vocabulary at grade seventh SMP YPK Pematangsiantar. It shows that the result of t-test was higher than t-table (5.02>1.67), therefore the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted.Based on the result of the research, it was concluded that by using Picture media on students’ ability in English Vocabulary is most effective.

Abstract

This research was conducted to increase students’ writing ability by using the Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) Technique. The researcher wanted to find out whether or not Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) Technique can increase the students’ writing skill and to analyze the classroom situation when the Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) Technique is implemented in writing class. The population of the research was the first semester students STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematang Siantar. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) and composed for two or more cycles then it observed and evaluated to identify all facts including the success and the failure of the action. It means that the action should be stopped or continued and revised to the next cycle based on the selected criteria of success. After the implementation of Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) Technique in every cycle, the students’ writing score were getting better. The result of student  can be seen from the result of students’ average score by their writing. The first  Cycle  was 44.00 and the second Cycle  was 77.00. After the implementation the students get better score. It can be concluded that Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) Technique can increase their ability in writing narrative text. Abstract

This research aims to apply The Scientific Approach-Based English Learning Strategy (SABELS) on the students’ ability in comprehending text fourth semester students of STIKOM Tunas Bangsa. This research is descriptive qualitative, because the researcher used descriptive method to analize the data and the data are in the form of word. This research conducted in STIKOM Tunas Bangsa Pematangsiantar. The researcher used three techniques to collecting the data. Those are observation, interview and study document. The researcher did two observations in class.  The subject of the interview is the teacher as implementer the teaching learning process. The research findings are (1) the Implementation of the Scientific Approach in the Teaching of Reading Comprehension to the fourth semester students at STIKOM Tunas Bangsa was good, because was appropriate with the regulation, (2) in applying scientific approach, the teacher used five phase, those are observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, and communicating. The teacher used authentic assessment in the evaluation. Based on the second meeting, the English teacher uses writing test to assess the cognitive aspect of the students. Finally, by knowing the result, it is better if English teachers apply the SABELS to improve the students’ achievement.

Abstract

This PKM activity aims to develop the skills of Vocational High School (SMK) students in making digital pin presses through special training. Technology and mechanical skills are becoming increasingly important in today's digital era, and vocational schools have a key role in preparing students for the ever-changing world of work. The training was carried out at the Anak Bangsa Private Vocational School located in Simalungun Regency. In this activity, we designed and implemented intensive training for vocational school students on making digital pin presses. This training includes a basic understanding of digital technology, use of relevant hardware and software, as well as technical skills required in the manufacturing process. Apart from that, the team leader also provided material about the entrepreneurial spirit which was carried out using the Zoom application. The training method involves practical teaching and guidance from experienced instructors. The results of the activity show that this training was successful in improving students' skills in making digital pin presses. In addition, students also demonstrated improvements in their understanding of digital technology and its potential use in the world of work. It is hoped that this activity can make a positive contribution to developing the skills of vocational school students and help them prepare to enter an increasingly competitive job market. The results of this training can be used as a basis for developing similar training in other vocational schools and can be a reference for educational institutions and the government in efforts to improve the quality of vocational education in Indonesia.

Abstract

At the end of 2019 the world was shaken by the Covid-19 outbreak. The Ministry of Education has also implemented a policy of studying at home online or online. When using the online learning system, it doesn't always run smoothly, there must be problems that can occur, namely problems such as students not understanding the material presented by the teacher and many students who only have one Android and there are even students who don't have Android at all, their environmental factors also do not support them to learn with focus. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors causing the decline in student learning potential during the pandemic using the c4.5 data mining method. The source of the research data was obtained from distributing questionnaires to high school students of the Family College Foundation. In this study, there are five criteria that influence the factors that cause the decline in student learning potential during the pandemic, namely: How to learn, study time, understanding of the material, assignment and environment. The calculation results state that the environmental criteria are the criteria that have the most influence on the factor of decreasing student learning potential. Tests were also carried out using the Rapidminer software and obtained an accuracy of 73.33%.

Abstract

Pramuka merupakan suatu kegiatan yang di lakukan di luar lingkungan sekolah dengan tujuan membentuk kepribadian, keterampilan, kecerdasaran, kekuatan, ilmu sosial serta rasa cinta terhapdap tanah air. Kepramukaan merupakan sebuah esktrakurikuler yang bisa digunakan untuk menanam karakter baik kepada siswa, khususnya membentuk kepribadian yang baik dan bertanggung jawab. Bahasa inggris merupakan Bahasa internasional, dimana kita harus memahaminya, sebagai nilai tambah kita untuk mampu berkomunikasi dengan penduduk di dunia, tidak hanya di negeri kira. Adapun game edukasi yang di laksanakan pada kegiatan sosialisasi di kegiatan Kepramukaan ini adalah game Pictionary. Game ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam mengembangkan kata melalui sebuah gambar yang di ilustrasikan oleh temannya. Peserta di bagi menjadi beberapa grup, setiap peserta harus mampu menjawab ataupun menebak gambar apa yang di buat oleh temannya dan kemudian menyebutkannya dalam Bahasa inggris. Peserta sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini. Sosialisasi yang diadakan dalam kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini di harapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas peserta khususnya dalam pengetahuan Bahasa Inggris. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini di harapkan semua peserta mampu berekspresi dan juga mengambangkan pengetahuan serta wawasan Bahasa inggris mereka. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini yaitu peningkatan pemahaman anggota Pramuka dalam pembelajaran Bahasa inggris. Hal ini di rasa sangat tepat dalam melatih kekompakan dan juga kebersamaan siswa dalam menjawab latihan – latihan yang di berikan instruktur. Games ini juga dapat mengasah kemampuan dalam menyusun kosakata Bahasa inggris.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis akurasi model prediksi kepuasan mahasiswa/i terhadap layanan perpustakaan STIKOM Tunas Bangsa menggunakan metode C4.5. Layanan perpustakaan yang berkualitas merupakan faktor penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan akademik mahasiswa/i. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa/i terhadap layanan perpustakaan menggunakan metode C4.5, sebuah algoritma pohon keputusan yang populer untuk klasifikasi. Dengan pendekatan ini, diharapkan dapat diukur tingkat akurasi kepuasan dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor utama yang memengaruhinya, sehingga perpustakaan dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna.i. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diambil dari survei kepuasan mahasiswa/i terhadap berbagai aspek layanan perpustakaan, seperti ketersediaan koleksi, fasilitas, pelayanan staf, dan kenyamanan ruang baca. Data tersebut kemudian diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan metode C4.5 untuk membangun model prediksi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa metode C4.5 mampu memberikan akurasi yang cukup tinggi dalam mengukur kepuasan mahasiswa/i, dengan tingkat akurasi yang dihasilkan mencapai persentase yang signifikan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan model prediksi kepuasan mahasiswa/i yang dapat digunakan sebagai acuan dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan perpustakaan di STIKOM Tunas Bangsa.
