Abstract

Software Modeling is a scientific discipline for studying forms of software modeling that are used as part of the software development stages in a structured and object-oriented manner. This software engineering modeling is presented in Requirements Analysis and described using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) method. UML (Unified Modeling Language) is a visual modeling method used as a means of designing object-oriented systems. UML diagrams that are often used are Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Class Diagrams, Statemachine Diagrams and Component Diagrams. There are several applications that support UML creation, one of which is Draw.io. Draw.io is a website specifically designed for depicting UML diagrams online. It has a very responsive display and is integrated with Google's file storage service, namely Google Drive, so draw.io is an alternative for creating UML diagrams in a shorter time. On this basis, in the Community Service (PkM) program activities on this occasion, UML creation activities were carried out using the draw.io application and assistance in using UML in analyzing needs is one of the right solutions for solving problems in order to expand knowledge, simplify and improve the quality of education. and will overcome problems, time and socio-economic

Abstract

Computer-based information systems are needed, especially in the development of an organization, in this case is the University of Muhammadiyah Jambi. Where the University of Muhammadiyah Jambi pays less attention to incoming and outgoing letters because currently the mail scheduling information system has not been fully integrated with the system where for mail scheduling still uses the conventional system. Where the process is still carried out by separating incoming and outgoing letters and then writing or recording several parts of the letter, namely: letter number, letter description, letter origin, incoming letter date, outgoing letter date, agenda date, document. The purpose of this research is to analyze and design a prototype letter scheduling system so as to increase the effectiveness and efficiency in scheduling letters and speed up the process of searching for letters so as to make it easier for mail managers to find letters according to their needs. This design was made using the visual paradigm and using object-based modeling techniques to describe the analysis and design of the system, namely in the form of use case diagrams, class diagrams, and activity diagrams. This research resulted in a prototype design of an analysis system and design of a letter scheduling information system at the University of Muhammadiyah Jambi. On this basis, an integrated system is needed, it is hoped that the system can be implemented directly to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation of the letter logging information system at the University of Muhammadiyah Jambi.

Abstract

Scholarships are grants in the form of financial assistance given to individuals, students or students for the continuation of education. In accordance with the program guidelines issued by the Directorate General of Higher Education, it must follow the 3T principles, namely Right Target, Right Amount and Timely. Jambi Muhamamdiyah University is one of the private universities that received a quota for the scholarship, because of the large number of scholarship recipients, the university must be selective in determining who is eligible to get the scholarship. One of the methods of information technology that can support decision-making in an organization or company is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method so that it can facilitate the process of managing, sorting, comparing and selecting scholarship recipients, so as to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the work of the actors. business. The purpose of this research is to analyze and design a prototype of the Scholarship Acceptance Decision Support System with the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) Method at the University of Muhammadiyah Jambi so as to increase the effectiveness and efficiency in receiving scholarships and to assist in providing alternative decisions in the selection of scholarship recipients. This design was made using the visual paradigm and using object-based modeling techniques to describe the analysis and design of the system, namely in the form of use case diagrams, class diagrams, and activity diagrams. Abstract

In the era of globalization, excellent service is the main element in hospitals and health units, including health services provided by clinics. Likewise in the health service industry, such as the Nyai Walidah clinic. Almost all health units are required to provide health services that meet optimal service standards. To be able to gain an advantage in the competition, every company must be able to meet customer satisfaction, with a strategy that is in accordance with the services it offers. As for customer satisfaction, the company can fulfill one of them through the quality of its service. Patients will feel satisfied if the performance of the health services obtained equals or exceeds their expectations. The level of patient satisfaction is very important and is closely related to the level of patient return so that this can be used as an indicator of the quality of health services. Therefore, this study aims to measure patient satisfaction with Nyai Walidah's clinical services using the waterfall method. Which produces a satisfaction measurement system to assess the level of satisfaction of visiting patients and as an evaluation material for the performance of health services so that components can be identified that must be maintained and improved by the Nyai Walidah clinic.

Abstract

The laboratory is an academic support unit in an educational institution, in the form of a closed or open room that is permanent, managed systematically for teaching and learning activities, research, experiments as well as for practical and learning activities both individually and in groups. The laboratory at the Muhammadiyah University of Jambi has limited capacity, equipment and numbers because it is not proportional to the number of students, so students cannot master this value. These limitations can be overcome by scheduling the use of space. The current schedule for computer laboratory practicum can only be seen on the paper attached to the laboratory room and for the process of borrowing the laboratory, lecturers and students must come directly to the laboratory to communicate the laboratory loan to the head of the computer laboratory to see if there is an empty schedule. From the problems above, the purpose of this study is to design a Laboratory Usage Schedule System to make it easier for lecturers and students, especially the head of the laboratory, to access laboratory usage schedules regarding borrowing empty laboratories and substitutes for learning with the prototyping system method which results in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of implementation to overcome existing problems

Abstract

According to data recorded at the end of the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year, Al-Falah Jambi Islamic High School currently has 403 active students, 39 permanent foundation teachers, and 7 foundation contract teachers. With the increasing number of active students, which can be seen from the number of students at the beginning of its establishment, which amounted to 85 students, the services that must be provided and the academic atmosphere must remain conducive and maintained. Therefore, an information system strategic plan is needed that supports the school's business strategy and is aligned with the school's vision, mission, and goals to be able to advance Al-Falah Jambi Islamic High School and increase competitive advantage with other private SMA/SMK or with public SMA/SMK existing or future. The data collection technique that the writer used in this study was by means of interviews, observation, literature study, and documentation. The analytical methods used include the Value Chain Analysis, PEST Analysis, Porter's Five Forces, SWOT Analysis, Balanced Scorecard Analysis, the Critical Success Factor (CSF) Analysis, Gap Analysis, and McFarlan Strategic Grid Analysis. The targeted output of this research is to produce recommendations for an IS/IT strategic plan aimed at all parties, both the Principals, TU Heads, and ICT divisions, and can obtain future information system proposals and be mapped in development plans within a five-year period and mapped based on user units, namely HR, leadership, corporate secretary, treasurer, curriculum, inventory, and ICT, so that Al-Falah Jambi Islamic High School can increase competitive advantage with other private SMA/SMK or with existing or future public SMA/SMK

Abstract

The Department of Population and Civil Registration of Muaro Jambi Regency is the executor of government affairs in the field of population administration, in general for office administration purposes, such as archiving documentation and correspondence management. In general, the work process in local government agencies is inseparable from various problems, such as work management that is not good and neat, or other information management processes that are deemed inaccurate. The results of the study show that the management of incoming and outgoing letter archival data still uses a manual system, namely recording in an agenda book and then placing the letters in a special mail archive cupboard without any backup data. The management of letter archives at the Population and Civil Registration Office of the Muaro Jambi Regency is carried out by the general and personnel sub-divisions. The facilities available at this time are an agenda book to record incoming and outgoing mail data, then a cupboard as a means of storing archival data of incoming and outgoing letters. The solution proposed by the author is to design and build a web-based E-Office application system for archiving incoming and outgoing mail data. In developing the system the author uses the method (Waterfall) and UML design along with supporting applications for making the application developed using the java programming language, php, and the MYSQL database. The results of making this application can be used by the Muaro Jambi Regency Population and Civil Registration Service, especially as a medium for completing documents and other official letters.

Abstract

Expert systems are computer-based systems that use knowledge, facts, and reasoning techniques to solve problems that usually can only be solved by an expert in a particular field. The purpose of making an expert system for diagnosing damage to Android cellphones is to provide knowledge and information in repairing Android cellphones based on the type and characteristics of the damage that has occurred. The method used in this study is to use the forward chaining method, which aims to determine the type of damage experienced. The input needed is to choose a choice of questions regarding the symptoms that occur. The result of using the forward chaining method is the output solution in repairing damage to Android cellphones. And an expert system for damage to Android cellphones can help novice users or technicians to be able to find out precisely about the damage experienced by Android cellphones based on a selection of damage symptoms, so that repairs can be carried out quickly and precisely.

Abstract

The large number of computer users who do not have sufficient knowledge about the initial handling of hardware damage results in many computer users or an institution spending a lot of money just to repair damage that occurs to computer hardware. Therefore, this expert system application was created to assist computer users in making an initial diagnosis of a computer hardware damage experienced along with solutions to overcome the damage. The process of developing this expert system uses the knowledge method with data collection techniques used, namely interviews and observation. While the inference method used in the development of this expert system uses the forward chaining method. The application used in the development of this expert system uses the AppSheet application.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance students' technical skills in database management using XAMPP, an open-source platform that integrates Apache, MySQL, PHP, and phpMyAdmin. The program was implemented through a hands-on training approach based on experiential learning, allowing participants to practice installation, configuration, and database management independently. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding of database concepts and their ability to operate XAMPP effectively. Beyond technical competencies, the program also fostered behavioral changes, increased technological awareness, and the emergence of local leaders among the participants. This initiative is expected to contribute to the development of a more adaptive and collaborative learning culture in response to advancements in information technology.
