Abstract

Technological advances encourage the integration of technology in education in various schools, especially in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The role of teachers becomes important in utilizing technology, one of which is through the Game-Based Learning (GBL) method. This method presents a fun and varied learning experience through game elements such as prizes, challenges and scores. This study aims to explore the use of GBL in PAI at MI Islamiyah Butoh by utilizing the Quizlet application. The study used a qualitative approach with interviews as the data collection method. The results showed that the Quizlet app, which allows students to access materials and quizzes, was effective in improving students' motivation and grades. In addition, the app provides an evaluation at the end of the lesson, so MI Islamiyah Butoh succeeded in making an innovative transformation in PAI learning in the digital era. The use of GBL is proven to make learning more effective, interesting and relevant.

Abstract

In facing modern developments, universities are required to carry out innovative learning designs and processes in order to produce graduates who are able to compete with the demands of the times. The purpose of writing this article is to examine the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) policy in higher education and its development based on the Twin-Tower paradigm. The author uses the library research method to answer the problem formulation that has been formulated. The data analysis technique includes three steps, namely data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this paper show that the State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Ampel Surabaya applies the Twin Tower paradigm in the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which emphasizes integration between religious knowledge and general knowledge. This paradigm aims to create graduates who not only have a deep understanding of religious knowledge, but also competence in the fields of science and technology. The Islamic religious education curriculum at UIN Sunan Ampel was developed in accordance with the guidelines set by the government with an integrative multidisciplinary approach based on the twin tower concept. The strategy implemented by the PAI study program includes integrating the religious science curriculum with modern technology. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the curriculum is designed to meet the needs of society and answer the challenges of the times, with the aim of producing a generation of ulul albab who have intellectual, spiritual intelligence and good character.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of project-based learning (PjBL) in enhancing students' creativity and active participation at SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type, this study aims to understand how project-based learning design contributes to the development of students' creativity, especially in the subject of Fiqh. The research subjects consisted of seventh-grade students, who were selected through a purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques used include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was done descriptively by presenting the findings systematically. The results showed that the application of PjBL proved effective in providing space for students to explore Fiqh concepts through real projects relevant to everyday life. This approach not only improves in-depth understanding of the material but also strengthens students' critical thinking skills, collaboration, and creativity in completing tasks. The teacher's role as a facilitator also contributes to increasing students' learning independence, strengthening their involvement in the learning process, and increasing their sense of responsibility for their learning outcomes. Based on these findings, project-based learning can be recommended as an effective method to enhance students' creativity in Fiqh and other subjects that require a practical and contextual approach.

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia continue to develop as education distributors. That proves that Islamic education is continuously developing and educating the nation's children. KH. Ahmad Dahlan was a prominent Indonesian figure who had ideas about renewing Islamic education and became a milestone in Indonesia's revival of Islamic education. This research aims to discover how institutional innovation in Islamic education, according to KH. Ahmad Dahlan, and its relevance in the modern era. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library study type of research. This research shows that KH. Ahmad Dahlan founded many educational institutions that integrated religious and general knowledge. He also implemented a modern education management system from Western schools guided by Islamic teachings. KH. Ahmad Dahlan's thoughts on education are relevant in modern life. KH. Ahmad Dahlan's thoughts on the education system have significantly contributed to the quality of education in Indonesia and its relevance in a global context.
