Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of knowledge, financial attitudes, and perceived benefits on the decision to use e-wallets as digital payment transactions among students at UIN Datokarama Palu. This study uses associative research with a quantitative approach. The study utilizes primary data obtained through a questionnaire. The population size in this study is 6,734 individuals, with a sample size of 100 students from UIN Datokarama Palu. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 30. The results indicate that, partially (t-test), knowledge, financial attitudes, and perceived benefits have a positive and significant influence on the decision to use e-wallets. Additionally, simultaneously (F-test), the three variables also have a positive and significant influence on the decision to use e-wallets, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.697. This means that 69.7% of the decision to use e-wallets is influenced by the three variables, while the remainder is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study. These findings indicate that the higher the knowledge, financial attitude, and perceived benefits, the higher the decision to adopt e-wallets among students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of using teaching materials of reading to improve students’ reading skills at the Institute for Islamic Studies Ma’arif Nahdlatul Ulama (IAIMNU) in Metro Lampung. This research used the comparative quantitative method. For data analysis, the researchers used descriptive statistical analysis to produce the effectiveness of teaching materials for reading skills with a criterion based on descriptive perception in the degree to test the responses in the questionnaire scale. T-test using SPSS with Paired Sample Test was used to find out the differences between the results of before and after the experiment. Based on the statistical analysis, the value of experimental learning model was 14.462.The result of significance was Sig. (2-tailed) 000. The pre-test of academic achievement in reading - the post-test of academic achievement of reading was 8.295. The result of significance was Sig. (2-tailed) 000.The result of this research indicated that Hₒ was not acceptable, and H1was acceptable. The difference in the academic achievement of reading between before and after the experiment was indicative. Hence, the improvement of reading ability occurred after using reading materials designed based on David A. Kolb's experiential learning model.

Abstract

This study critically inquires the role of religious figures within the framework of instilling the concept of religious moderation in Indonesia. The main reason for this study is that social facts in Indonesia today, indicate that there are certain people who interpret religion in extreme ways. This is the background behind the issuance of Presidential Regulation Number 18 of 2020 which places religious moderation as a fundamental social capital for nation building. In line with that, this paper maps out the strategies run by religious leaders in carrying out their roles in grounding the concept of religious moderation. This article is based on socio-legal research. The data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result of this study shows that religious leaders play an important role in instilling religious moderation by acting as inspirations in inter-religious interactions, motivators in understanding religious moderation, role models in moderation behavior, initiators of moderate religious perspectives, promoters of internal and external dialogue, mediators, catalysts, in carrying out Islam as rahmatan li al-alamin, and is at the forefront (spearhead) in socializing the concept of religious moderation.

Abstract

This research discusses “The Zakat Fund Management System at the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Palu City.” The main problems are divided into several subtopics: (1) how the zakat collection system is implemented by BAZNAS Palu City, (2) how zakat distribution is carried out in Palu City, and (3) what obstacles and efforts are made by BAZNAS Palu City in managing zakat. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources consist of primary and secondary data, while data analysis is conducted through stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to produce systematic findings. The results show that zakat fund management by BAZNAS Palu City has been carried out effectively by the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) and its distribution through various programs such as Palu Sejahtera, Palu Cerdas, Palu Bertakwa, Palu Sehat, and other initiatives. In its implementation, BAZNAS Palu City faces several challenges but continues to make efforts to overcome them. It is recommended that BAZNAS Palu City enhance its efforts to raise public awareness about the importance and benefits of paying zakat through various media, such as social media, the official BAZNAS website, and direct outreach activities, as well as expand the scope of its programs to increase the number of beneficiaries in Palu City.
