Abstract

The emergence of cyber begging on digital platforms such as TikTok has raised serious legal and ethical concerns, particularly when involving vulnerable populations like the elderly. This study examines the phenomenon of elderly individuals participating in live-stream content on TikTok, where they are often depicted in humiliating or infantilizing situations in exchange for virtual gifts. Using a normative legal research method, this paper analyzes whether such practices can be categorized as criminal exploitation under Indonesian law, particularly Law No. 21 of 2007 on the Eradication of Human Trafficking and related statutory instruments. The study adopts a victimological perspective to argue that apparent consent does not negate victimhood when participation is shaped by structural conditions such as poverty, digital illiteracy, or dependency. Furthermore, the principle of legal certainty is employed to highlight the inadequacy of current legal frameworks in addressing emerging forms of digital exploitation. The findings suggest that while cyber begging may appear voluntary, it often reflects deeper patterns of coercion and asymmetrical benefit, warranting clearer legal recognition and protective policies. This research contributes to the discourse on elder justice, digital labor ethics, and the evolution of criminal law in the digital age.

Abstract

This research reviews labor law's role in the settlement of disputes in industrial relations within a normative juridical perspective in Indonesia. The research focuses on workers' rights and employers' obligations under Indonesia's labor legislation, mainly Undang-Undang No. 13 Tahun 2003 (the Labor Law). The study examines dispute resolution mechanisms, such as negotiation, mediation, and arbitration through the PHI, their effectiveness in protecting workers' rights, and how well employers adhere to the law. From the results, it is learned that negotiation and mediation are effective at the starting stage, but due to power imbalance and delayed processing in the judicial system, comprehensive settlements could not be achieved. Moreover, inconsistent court decisions, weak enforcement of workers' rights, and lack of adequate union representation remain critical. Concluding, the paper provides recommendations on how Indonesia can better settle labor disputes by strengthening mechanisms for mediation and arbitration, enhancing judicial capacity, and effective enforcement of workers' rights.

Abstract

Abstract

Brain tumor classification is a critical task in medical imaging that directly impacts the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment planning. However, the complexity and variability of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images pose significant challenges, often resulting in reduced model reliability and generalization. This study addresses these limitations by proposing a novel ResNet+Bagging model, leveraging the strengths of residual networks and ensemble learning to enhance classification performance. Using publicly available brain tumor MRI datasets, including images labeled as benign, malignant, and normal, the study employs advanced preprocessing techniques such as normalization, data augmentation, and noise reduction to ensure high-quality inputs. The proposed model demonstrated significant improvements, achieving the highest testing accuracy of 72%, outperforming other tested models such as LeNet, standard ResNet, GoogleNet, and VGGNet. Precision (0.6010), recall (0.6000), and F1-score (0.5990) metrics further highlight its superior balance in detecting positive and negative classes. The novelty of this research lies in the application of Bagging to ResNet, which effectively mitigates overfitting and enhances predictive stability in complex medical datasets. These findings underscore the proposed model's potential as a robust solution for brain tumor classification, contributing to more accurate and reliable diagnostics.
