Abstract

Konflik bersenjata di sejumlah negara Arab dewasa ini tidak bisa dipisahkan dari konflik Syiah-Sunni yang sudah mengakar hingga ke periode awal sejarah Islam. Syiah dan Sunni saling bertikai tentang siapa yang berhak memegang estafet kepemimpinan sepeninggal Nabi. Konflik Syiah-Sunni beralih dari politik menjadi pertentangan aqidah, diawali dengan pengkultusan kepada keluarga Nabi hingga kepercayaan akan munculnya Imam Mahdi di akhir zaman dan wilayatul faqih (representasi dari Imam Mahdi). Konflik Syiah-Sunni semakin melebar dan membesar, ketika revolusi Iran tahun 1979 pimpinan Ayatullah Khomeini mulai mengekspor revolusinya ke negara-negara muslim sebagai bentuk perlawanan terhadap penjajahan, dan pada waktu yang sama menyebarluaskan pengaruh politik dan idiologi Syiah di kawasan. Momentun politik Syiah kembali mendapatkan tempatnya di beberapa negara Arab pasca Arab Spring, sebuah gerakan people power yang berhasil menumbangkan beberapa rezim di negara-negara Arab. Iran sebagai representasi politik Syiah memainkan pengaruhnya di Irak, Lebanon, Suriah, Bahrain dan terakhir Yaman. Kehadiran pengaruh politik Syiah di negara tersebut, berimplikasi terhadap perpanjangan konflik Syiah-Sunni di kawasan. Sekalipun demikian, Arab Spring yang menjadi titik balik sejarah demokrasi Arab menuju keterbukaan dan kemandirian diharapkan dapat mendorong pendekatan Syiah-Sunni yang sudah dicetuskan sejak tahun 1948 melalui pendirian Forum Pendekatan Antar Mazhab (Dar al-Taqrib bain alMadzahib al-Islamiya).

Abstract

This data aimed to identify the supernatural aspect and to found out the impacts of the main character to the society in The Conjuring 3 The Devil Made Me do It movie script. In analyzing the data, the researcher applied descriptive qualitative method to explain the types of supernatural aspects and the impacts of the main character to the society in The Conjuring 3 The Devil Made Me do It movie script. This research based on Dunwich theory about Supernatural Aspect. The researcher found that there were four types of supernatural aspects in The Conjuring 3 The Devil Made Me do It movie script: True Tales of Ghost and Hunting, The Necromantic Arts, Possession, Obsession, Exorcism, Spells and Sorcery. The writer also found the impact of the main character to the society which was the main character could change the perspective of other characters from negative to positive. The researcher had found 5 data of impacts

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the comparison of the traditional Islamic education system with the modern Islamic education system in Indonesia. The results of this research show that the traditional Islamic education system in Indonesia is education carried out by educators using old methods. Traditional Islamic education is known as the Halaqah system and does not use alternatives such as benches, tables and blackboards. While the modern Islamic education system in Indonesia is education that is based on the concept of divinity but is universal, modern Islamic education does not only focus on religious lessons but is also integrated with science and technology with a classical system, namely using tables, chairs, blackboards and other learning media. The comparison between these two systems is found in their educational institutions. In the curriculum aspect, traditional Islamic education has its curriculum from the kyai or top leaders of the institution, while the curriculum in modern Islamic education is an integrated curriculum from educational institutions (Mendikbutristek) and religious institutions (Kemenag).

Abstract

Penyakit sosial muncul dalam masyarakat akibat perilaku menyimpang yang bertentangan dengan nilai-nilai, norma, atau aturan yang telah disepakati bersama. Penyimpangan sosial, baik individu atau kelompok, menyebabkan gangguan dalam tatanan kehidupan bermasyarakat, tercermin dari ketimpangan sosial dan ekonomi, pelemahan nilai agama dan norma sosial serta kurangnya pendidikan moral dan agama yang menimbulkan ketidakadilan, konflik, dan kerusakan tatanan sosial.  Reformasi sosial atau Ishlah al Ijtimaa’i diperlukan untuk perbaikan kondisi sosial yang berlandaskan pada keadilan, kedamaian, kesejahteraan, dan penguatan moralitas dalam masyarakat. Untuk mewujudkan reformasi sosial perspektif Islam, dibutuhkan pendekatan, yang tidak hanya mengandalkan penegakan hukum, tapi juga monitoring dan pengawasan yang berkesinambungan dari aparat dan warga, khususnya dalam perbaikan moralitas masyarakat dan upaya mengatasi ketidakadilan sosial yang sudah mengakar.Kata kunci: Reformasi, Ishlah, Sosial, Moralitas

Abstract

This research examined antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) in Wednesday Addams, as portrayed in the movie script Wednesday by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. Utilizing Theodore Millon's personality disorder theory and a qualitative descriptive analysis approach, the study aimed to identify ASPD criteria and its causes. The analysis revealed that Wednesday exhibited several traits associated with ASPD, including a lack of remorse, aggressive behavior, and a disregard for social norms. The study identified 33 examples of personality disorders, categorized into antisocial (15), passive-aggressive (10), histrionic (4), and sadistic (4). The research revealed that Wednesday's behavior was influenced by two main factors: traumatic events in childhood that fostered defensive and antagonistic attitudes, and parenting that encouraged outspoken expression without considering its emotional impact. These influences contributed to her disregard for social norms, lack of empathy, and difficulty in forming meaningful relationships.

Abstract

The research aims are to identify the types of conflict and factors that exists in the Anthony McCarten’s movie script “Theory of Everything”. The writer used the conflict theory of Ursula Lehr to find out the conflicts and factors that exists in the movie script. The primary data is from the movie script written by Anthony McCarten which directed by James Marsh. The writer used the descriptive qualitative method in presenting this research. The results of the research, the writer found there were 6 types of conflict found in The Theory of Everything, they were conflicts in religions, personal conflict, conflict with other people, conflict with husband/wife, conflict with relatives and conflict with parents. The factors of conflicts are personal needs and goals, beliefs and values, disability and physical health, family dynamics, communication, emotional factors. In the end, the movie honors how resilient the human spirit can be when faced with hardship. It shows how people like Stephen Hawking overcome great obstacles with bravery, tenacity, and unwavering devotion to their own convictions and goals. Through this research, the writer wishes that the readers can understand the application of the Conflict theory by Ursula Lehr in finding the conflict.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang salahsatu tokoh filsafat muslim yakni Fazlur Rahman terhadap makna mujmal, mubayyan atau metode tafsir al-Quran dalam pemikiran Fazlur Rahman yang merupakan tokoh pembaharu pemikiran Islam yang lahir dari madzhab Hanafi. Sebagai seorang pemikir, Fazlur Rahman mempunyai rasa kepedulian yang begitu tinggi dalam menghidupkan khazanah keilmuan Islam dengan cara menafsir kembali Islam dengan cara mengkaji al-Quran secara kontekstual. Kemudian tokoh orientalis Angelika Neuwirth (sarjana-sarjana barat yang mengkaji serta mendalami ketimuran) dengan mendirikan atau membentuk proyek Corpus Coranicum upaya memberikan kontribusi signifikan bagi studi al-Qur’an dan pengembangan pemahaman yang lebih konfrehensif mengenai kitab suci umat Islam terhadap studi al-Quran terutama halnya dengan makna mujmal dan mubayyan yang dimana mujmal ini merupakan bentuk lafadz atau dalil yang bersifat global, terperinci atau ringkas kemudian memerlukan bayyan yaitu penjelasan sehingga menjadi mubayyan atau dengan kata lain menjadi jelas.

Abstract

The study of independent learning is very interesting because it involves the novelty of educational civilization, but what is interesting is when Islamic boarding schools have already applied the value of independent learning in the aspect of providing value for learning outcomes. This research was conducted to find answers to why Pesantren Nurulhuda chose not to give rankings as a reward for learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that they want to view and respect all their students fairly and proportionally. Not only based on IQ intelligence, the culture of the Nurulhuda Islamic boarding school by not publishing the rankings in our class is drawn to the spirit of free learning, which is called diverse assessment. So this pesantren is relevant. The wisdom of the Islamic boarding school in this case Nurulhud a by giving rewards is not against any rules because now School-Based Management (SBM) has been implemented.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the dynamics of religious discourse in Indonesia during the COVID-19 crisis, focusing on how ideological contestations reflect shifting meanings and religious authority within the digital public sphere. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research and Foucauldian critical discourse analysis, combined with content and comparative analysis of responses from major Islamic institutions such as the MUI, Nahdlatul Ulama, and Muhammadiyah. The theoretical framework draws on Michel Foucault's concept of discourse and power, along with John Storey's theory of cultural ideology. The findings reveal that the pandemic triggered three ideological spectrums of religious response—conservative, moderate, and progressive—each representing distinct theological stances toward worship, public health policy, and religious legitimacy. Social media emerged as a new arena of authority, where digital religious narratives often surpassed institutional fatwas in influence. The study concludes that the pandemic acted as a catalyst for the transformation of religious discourse, with long-term implications for the relationship between religion, state, and civil society in the digital era. It recommends more participatory, adaptive, and collaborative religious communication strategies to strengthen social cohesion and religious moderation in post-crisis contexts.Keywords: social crisis; religious discourse; religious ideology; digital authority; Foucault, pandemic

Abstract

This study investigates the historical, theological, and socio-political differences between Sunni and Shia Islam. By examining core issues such as leadership, understanding of the Prophet's companions, and interpretation of the Quran, the study highlights the complex factors that contribute to sectarian divisions. The paper then explores the potential for harmonization between the two sects, focusing on the importance of interfaith dialogue, education, and community-building initiatives. Although Sunnis and Shias share a common foundation in Islamic belief, their differing perspectives on key doctrinal and historical issues have caused sectarian tensions for centuries. The study argues that by fostering mutual understanding, promoting tolerance, and addressing the underlying political and social factors, sectarian conflict can be reduced and bridges can be built between Sunni and Shia communities. The paper concludes by emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation in achieving lasting peace and harmony in the Muslim world.
