Abstract

To minimize the use of inorganic fertilizers is by giving rice straw compost to the soil. The rice straw compost is a potential organic material for lowland rice plants. This study was aimed to determine the effect of the combination of NPK fertilizer and rice straw compost on the growth and yield of IPB 3S rice variety. This research was carried out on farmers' land in Dowiwi village, Simpang Raya sub-district, Banggai district. The study used a factorial randomized block design with two factors. Factor A (NPK) consisting of four levels namely A1 (62.5 kg / ha), A2 (125 kg / ha), A3 (187.5 kg / ha) and A4 ( 250 kg / ha). Factor B of rice straw compost (B) consisting of four levels, namely B1 (1.25 tons / ha), B2 (2.5 tons / ha), B3 (3.75 tons / ha), and B4 (5 tons / Ha). The results showed that rice straw compost can be increased plant height and 1000 grains weight. The interaction of NPK and rice straw compost (NPK 62.5 kg/ha + 5 tons/ha) was able to minimize the use of NPK fertilizer by 75% in panicle length and 1000 grains weight.   REFERENCES Amrah ML. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of land for corn plants and to determine the improvement efforts and potential land suitability of corn plants in Bualemo District. This research was carried out from August 2022 to February 2023 in Nipakalemoan, Sampaka and Bualemo A Villages, Bualemo District. The method used is a descriptive method that is used to analyze several results using a matching approach. The results of the research obtained are the suitability of corn crop land in Bualemo sub-district actually, namely at points 1,2,3, namely S3 (marginal) while the limiting factors are wet saturation, N-Total, P2O5 and K2O. Furthermore, for improvement efforts by carrying out liming and adding organic matter, as well as applying fertilizer to corn fields with medium to high soil management levels. Direction of corn improvement efforts in Bualemo District obtained the suitability of potential land for corn plants at points 1,2 and 3, in Bualemo District, namely the S1 criterion (very suitable).

Abstract

Taugi Village, Masama District is one of the rice production centers in Banggai Regency. Currently, the problem faced in the production of paddy rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the decline in paddy rice productivity which is influenced by the decline in land fertility. The purpose of this study was to determine the status of soil fertility and the quality of irrigated rice fields in Taugi Village, Masama District. This study took place from October 2023 to January 2024. The methods used were C-organic with the walkley & black method, P2O5 olsen method, K2O, KTK and KB (me / 100 g) and pH PUTS method (rice field soil test kit). soil samples for composites and put in plastic bags for analysis in the Chemistry and Soil Fertility Laboratory. The results of the laboratory analysis will be tabulated in the form of a table to determine the status of soil fertility and the criteria for the suitability of rice fields. The results of the study showed that the soil fertility status of rice fields in Taugi Village, Masama District at points (1,2,3,4 and 5) had a low status which was influenced by the content of KB, N, K2O, C-organic and low soil pH. Therefore, it is necessary to add organic materials and fertilizers containing Nitrogen (N) to improve the fertility status of the soil. Furthermore, the suitability of rice fields in Taugi Village, Masama District is classified as Quite Suitable, it is necessary to make improvements such as adding organic materials and liming, so that a potential rice field land suitability class is obtained.

Abstract

In order to effectively achieve the objectives of local collective action, institutions must establish guidelines that align with community norms and are supported by organizational incentives and sanctions. This study aims to examine the dynamics of property rights over forest resources and the efficiency of local institutions in managing the Nambo Community Forest (HKm) within the Toili Baturube Model Production Forest Management Unit. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data collection methods include document analysis, in-depth interviews, and observations. The findings reveal that the forest status in Nambo District shifted to state ownership post-HKm policy implementation and Law 23 of 2014, leading to changes in community access rights. Additionally, community forest management is facilitated through collaboratively developed policies and agreements evaluated using the Ostrom principle design. The study underscores the importance of comprehensive strategies involving cooperation among regional authorities, local communities, and stakeholders to effectively manage shared resources like community forests. Strengthening institutional capacity, empowering local communities, and fostering collective action can enhance the sustainability and success of shared resource management initiatives.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential of vegetable crops in Lake Alani, Buko Village, South Buko District, Banggai Islands Regency and recommend the distribution of directions for the development of vegetable crops in Lake Alani, Banggai Islands Regency. This research will be carried out in Lake Alani and its surroundings located in Buko Village, South Buko District, Banggai Islands Regency. This research will be conducted in March - May 2023. Research is conducted in qualitative form to identify the quality and characteristics of land as parameters. Data on the quality and characteristics of the land are then compared (matching) with the criteria of land suitability classes that have been prepared based on the requirements for use or growing needs of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and Eggplant (Solanum melongena), where in the results of plant criteria obtained the actual land suitability class at the research site on Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and Eggplant (Solanum melongena) classified as class (S3 = marginal), then by increasing improvement efforts obtained potential land suitability classes in lettuce and eggIn general, both types of vegetable crops namely Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and Eggplant (Solanum melongena) can be developed for cultivation at the research site in Lake Alani, Buko Village, South Buko District, Banggai Islands Regency, by carrying out land processing such as liming or adding organic matter and fertilization plant crops are classified (S2 = moderately appropriate) in the development of vegetable crops.

Abstract

Banggai Yams farming is an effort made by Banggai Yams farmers to get satisfactory results or profits to meet their daily needs. The purpose of this study is to find out the ways or strategies used in the development of Banggai Yams farming in Bulagi District, Banggai Islands Regency. This research will be carried out in Bulagi sub-district from June to August 2023. The population of 15 villages is more than 100 people, then the sample taken is 25% of the entire population with consideration of the location of respondents who are geographically scattered and the sampling technique used is a simple random sampling technique. The results showed that the right strategy in efforts to develop Ubi Banggai farming in the position of strategy or quadrant I is to support an aggressive strategy, namely the S-O (Strengths-Opportunities) strategy with a score obtained of 3.32. And the strategy applied to the development of Banggai yam farming in Bulagi District, Banggai Islands Regency by utilizing existing strengths and opportunities, namely by utilizing Banggai Yams as a substitute for rice, experienced in cultivating Banggai Yam, availability of labor, ease of marketing so that the threats faced such as relatively low prices, climate / weather, land ownership, lack of supporting institutions can be better minimized in order to increase in farmers' income.
