Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of land for corn plants and to determine the improvement efforts and potential land suitability of corn plants in Bualemo District. This research was carried out from August 2022 to February 2023 in Nipakalemoan, Sampaka and Bualemo A Villages, Bualemo District. The method used is a descriptive method that is used to analyze several results using a matching approach. The results of the research obtained are the suitability of corn crop land in Bualemo sub-district actually, namely at points 1,2,3, namely S3 (marginal) while the limiting factors are wet saturation, N-Total, P2O5 and K2O. Furthermore, for improvement efforts by carrying out liming and adding organic matter, as well as applying fertilizer to corn fields with medium to high soil management levels. Direction of corn improvement efforts in Bualemo District obtained the suitability of potential land for corn plants at points 1,2 and 3, in Bualemo District, namely the S1 criterion (very suitable).

Abstract

Taugi Village, Masama District is one of the rice production centers in Banggai Regency. Currently, the problem faced in the production of paddy rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the decline in paddy rice productivity which is influenced by the decline in land fertility. The purpose of this study was to determine the status of soil fertility and the quality of irrigated rice fields in Taugi Village, Masama District. This study took place from October 2023 to January 2024. The methods used were C-organic with the walkley & black method, P2O5 olsen method, K2O, KTK and KB (me / 100 g) and pH PUTS method (rice field soil test kit). soil samples for composites and put in plastic bags for analysis in the Chemistry and Soil Fertility Laboratory. The results of the laboratory analysis will be tabulated in the form of a table to determine the status of soil fertility and the criteria for the suitability of rice fields. The results of the study showed that the soil fertility status of rice fields in Taugi Village, Masama District at points (1,2,3,4 and 5) had a low status which was influenced by the content of KB, N, K2O, C-organic and low soil pH. Therefore, it is necessary to add organic materials and fertilizers containing Nitrogen (N) to improve the fertility status of the soil. Furthermore, the suitability of rice fields in Taugi Village, Masama District is classified as Quite Suitable, it is necessary to make improvements such as adding organic materials and liming, so that a potential rice field land suitability class is obtained.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential of vegetable crops in Lake Alani, Buko Village, South Buko District, Banggai Islands Regency and recommend the distribution of directions for the development of vegetable crops in Lake Alani, Banggai Islands Regency. This research will be carried out in Lake Alani and its surroundings located in Buko Village, South Buko District, Banggai Islands Regency. This research will be conducted in March - May 2023. Research is conducted in qualitative form to identify the quality and characteristics of land as parameters. Data on the quality and characteristics of the land are then compared (matching) with the criteria of land suitability classes that have been prepared based on the requirements for use or growing needs of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and Eggplant (Solanum melongena), where in the results of plant criteria obtained the actual land suitability class at the research site on Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and Eggplant (Solanum melongena) classified as class (S3 = marginal), then by increasing improvement efforts obtained potential land suitability classes in lettuce and eggIn general, both types of vegetable crops namely Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and Eggplant (Solanum melongena) can be developed for cultivation at the research site in Lake Alani, Buko Village, South Buko District, Banggai Islands Regency, by carrying out land processing such as liming or adding organic matter and fertilization plant crops are classified (S2 = moderately appropriate) in the development of vegetable crops.
