Abstract

Dalam proses penambangan dapat menimbulkan tekanan lingkungan yang berdampak fisik maupun non fisik, bentuk tekanan lingkungan dapat berupa kebisingan dan kelembaban. Pada proses kegiatan produksi pekerja masih belum banyak yang memakai alat pelindung diri (APD), seperti pada kegiatan pemboran pekerja tidak memakai alat pelindung telinga, mata dan mulut. Di lokasi yang menjadi objek penelitian beberapa masih melebihi nilai ambang batas, seperti tingkat kebisingan pada area pemboran 99.1 dBA dan lintasan kerja 96.3 dBA. Tujuan penelitian ialah mengidentifikasi bahaya tingkat kebisingan, kelembaban, mengetahui persepsi para pekerja dan memetakan hasil tingkat kebisingan dan kelembaban menggunakan software surfer 11. Dari hasil penelitian tingkat kebisingan melebihi nilai ambang batas pada area bengkel 86.04 dB, pemboran 97.18 dB, lintasan kerja 96.35 dB, dan area peledakan 60,9 dB dan tingkat kelembaban masih berada dibawah 85% nilai ambang batas. Pemetaan menunjukkan tiga warna yaitu warna biru 60 – 72 dB, area warna hijau 72 - 82 dB, area warna orange 84 – 92 dan area warna merah 94 – 100 dB. Berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Tenaga Kerja Nomor KEP-51/MENAKER/1999 sebagai acuan ambang batas kerja maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kebisingan melebihi nilai ambang batas, tingkat kelembaban dibawah ambang batas dan persepsi pekerja yang dapat mempengaruhi produktivitas kerja.

Abstract

Rendang, a traditional Minangkabau dish from West Sumatra, Indonesia, has gained international recognition and has inspired many entrepreneurs to promote this cuisine globally. One such entrepreneur is CV. Kuliner Makmur Sejahtera (KMS), which produces rendang under the brand Katuju. To enhance operational efficiency and support global market expansion, KMS requires an improved inventory management system. The primary challenge is the difficulty in monitoring inventory and tracking products without a barcode system. This community service program aims to address this issue by implementing barcode technology on Katuju's product packaging. The activities include designing, creating, and printing barcodes, as well as training KMS staff on how to use them. The process starts with observation and interviews to identify needs, followed by barcode design and production using an online barcode generator, and testing the barcode functionality with a scanning system. The results indicate that the community service team successfully trained KMS in barcode creation and printing, and integrated barcodes into product packaging. Evaluation through questionnaires showed participant satisfaction with the program and readiness to apply the barcode system to their products. This program is expected to improve inventory management, data accuracy, and support CV. KMS's global market expansion by providing tools necessary for efficient product tracking and valuable consumer data collection.

Abstract

Raw material inventory is a crucial aspect of a business, as it can significantly affect the costs incurred. One type of raw material is perishable raw material, which, due to its nature, relates to shelf life and can impact not only the quantity of inventory but also inventory costs. One business that utilizes perishable raw materials is the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) producing serundeng, using sweet potatoes and ghost peppers as perishable raw materials. The use of easily spoilable raw materials can be detrimental to SMEs if not managed properly. To avoid losses and improve efficiency, an analysis will be conducted by calculating inventory control. This research employs the multi-item Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, considering expiration dates and quantity discounts. The final outcome of the research includes a comparison of inventory levels between conventional methods and the proposed method, along with an analysis of the management implications of the findings. The results indicate that the total inventory costs without utilizing inventory control methods are higher than those using inventory management techniques. Therefore, this study provides insights to SMEs that effective inventory control can help the company not only reduce expenses but also increase revenue.

Abstract

Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (OPEFB) is biomass by-products from palm oil processing mills. The cellulose content in OPEFB, which reaches 38.70%, presents a potential raw material for various cellulose-based products, such as nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC). NCC can be used as a raw material in various industrial sectors, including paper, packaging, food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and electronics industries. The bioprocess technology for producing nanocrystalline cellulose from OPEFB has been successfully developed and is expected to be applied on an industrial scale. Therefore, an economic feasibility analysis is required to evaluate investment viability and the impact of parameter changes on investment using sensitivity analysis for the production of nanocrystalline cellulose from OPEFB with bioprocess technology. Based on the data processing of investment feasibility analysis with assumptions of cost data and other parameters using Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), and Payback Period (PP), it was found that the industry is feasible and profitable with an IRR of 113.99%, NPV of $763,804,208.84, and a Payback Period of 1 year. Additionally, using sensitivity analysis, it was determined that to maintain investment viability, the raw material price can only increase by a maximum of 35%, the product selling price can only decrease by a maximum of 15%, and production costs can only increase by a maximum of 20%. This research is expected to provide information to stakeholders such as investors, government, and industry regarding the opportunities for developing nanocrystalline cellulose production from OPEFB in Indonesia. Abstract

Kegiatan penambangan emas secara tradisional dilakukan oleh masyarakat di Desa Sungai Kapas, Kabupaten Merangin, Jambi menyisakan lubang- lubang dan kolam akibat aktivitas penambangan emas. Aktivitas penambangan emas dilakukan disekitar aliran Sungai Blengo yang ada di Desa Sungai Kapas. Sisa air limbah penambangan dialirkan secara langsung ke sungai sehingga menyebabkan kekeruhan pada air Sungai Blengo. Penelitian ini dilakukan guna mengetahui kadar pencemaran yang terjadi di Sungai Blengo dengan parameter; TSS (total suspended solid), TDS (total dissolved solid), pH, dan Suhu. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa nilai TSS pada setiap sampel stasiun penelitian memiliki nilai melebihi ambang batas maksimal, nilai yang memenuhi nilai maksimal ambang batas adalah 200 mg/L pada stasiun 8 (delapan), pada stasiun lainnya nilai TSS melebihi 200 mg/L dengan nilai tertinggi sebesar 6.400 mg/L pada stasiun 7 (tujuh). Nilai pH pada staisun 3 (tiga) dan memiliki nilai 4,7 dengan demikian nilai tersebut tidak memenuhi standar sebesar 6-9. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa air Sungai Blengo tidak layak. Hal ini dikarenakan tidak memenuhinya syarat-syarat yang ada pada peraturan yang berlaku untuk penambangan serta pengolahan emas.
