Abstract

Human need for land has influenced land use behavior and is an acute problem in many regions. Many areas have changed their original function in order to sustain human life, one of which causes forests to be converted into settlements, plantation and agricultural areas as well as mining areas. However, often the converted land is customary land in the form of forests and not a few that have long been disputed. In the era of independence, the government recognized that customary land belonged to the state. In its implementation, customary land is recognized by the government but its ownership rights are not. The indigenous people are only allowed to manage it. This study aims to categorize solutions that can be used in resolving land-use conflicts over customary lands. This study used the traditional review method with secondary data obtained from appropriate and relevant sources. Customary land is recognized in Indonesian law through UUPA No. 5 of 1960. The highest right to land owned or controlled by community members and its implementation is regulated by customary / village elders called ulayat rights, but provided that its existence and implementation still exist. In cases that occur in various countries, there are various kinds of implementation irregularities caused by excessive usage patterns or not according to the main purpose of their use. In Indonesia, irregularities in the implementation of the Law on indigenous peoples to manage their land are often found. Even some government policies are still detrimental to society. Therefore, in resolving customary land conflicts, one must look at various angles and see the history of disputed land, and can refer to several cases that have occurred in other countries. The categorization of land-use conflict solutions can be viewed from the point of view of the resolution process, the distribution of use of customary land use for indigenous peoples in conflict, what changes in land use have occurred according to procedures or not, mapping is needed to avoid vertical conflicts. and horizontally, and the involvement of the disputing parties, as well as based on ownership rights over customary land.

Abstract

The purpose of this study describes the impact of local wisdom Ngaha Aina Ngoho  as the local cultural identity of the Bima community in preserving the environment from an ecoregion perspective. The research method used is the empirical legal method, which emphasizes the validity of the Bima Mayor's program with the Bima Bisa City Program (Clean, Beautiful, Healthy and Asri) and the Decree of the Mayor of Bima Number 33 of 2017 concerning Mutual Cooperation. The impact of local wisdom Ngaha Aina Ngoho  as the local cultural identity of the Bima community provides positive results, including an increase in public awareness of preserving a clean environment. In addition, the Bima Bisa City program increases public awareness in disposing of garbage in its place and cleaning the environment. The Bima City program can provide community enthusiasm in carrying out mutual cooperation. In addition, collaboration between the government and indigenous communities and formal legal recognition of Ngaha Aina Ngoho  are still minimal. Strategic efforts are needed to strengthen regulations, environmental education based on local culture, and the involvement of traditional leaders in policy formulation.

Abstract

The lack of understanding of national insight among the younger generation, amid the rapid pace of globalisation and developments in information technology, poses a major challenge to the continued integrity of the nation and state. The strategy to strengthen national awareness among students of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Programme (PPKn) at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Nusa Cendana University (Undana) is a concrete step in shaping national character and increasing students' awareness of nationhood and statehood. The purpose of this study is to analyse the strategy for strengthening of national awareness among students of the PPKn programme at FKIP Undana. The method used in writing this article is descriptive qualitative, with an emphasis on library research. Library research is a method of data collection by reviewing and analysing various relevant written sources, such as books, journals, and documents, in order to gain a general understanding and theoretical basis of the topic being studied. The results of the study show that the strategy for strengthening the national awareness of students in the PPKn FKIP Undana study programme is carried out through various activities such as integration into the curriculum, extracurricular activities and student organisations, active involvement in community service activities, and the use of technology and social media. Through these various activities, students not only understand national values theoretically, but are also able to apply them and become agents of change who can implement national values in social and educational life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of civic education in building sustainable environmental awareness among students. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study approach, namely by examining various scientific sources such as journal articles, books, previous research results, and relevant policy documents. The data were analysed descriptively through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between PKn and the formation of ecological awareness. The results showed that civic education serves as a means of fostering moral attitudes, social responsibility, and ecological awareness among students. Civic education shapes civic knowledge, civic skills, and civic dispositions relevant to environmental issues, thereby fostering understanding, skills, and attitudes of concern for sustainable coexistence. In contextual and applied learning, such as project-based learning and the application of the Pancasila Student Profile, students can actively participate in recycling, greening, and energy conservation activities as a tangible manifestation of environmentally-conscious citizenship values. Effective strategies that can be implemented include the application of an eco-civic education approach, the strengthening of character education based on Pancasila values, and participatory learning that involves students in social action and ecological reflection. The benefits of implementing environment-based PKn include the formation of an environmentally conscious character, increased ecological literacy, and contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) has a strategic rolein building national character while strengthening national awareness inthe midst of the challenges of globalisation, information flows, and increasinglycomplex social changes. This study is based on the phenomenon of weakening nationalismand civic attitudes among the younger generation, which is characterised by a decline inlove for the country, low awareness of Pancasila values, andrampant intolerance. The purpose of this study is to analyse the role ofPPKn in strengthening students' national awareness. The method usedis qualitative analysis with a descriptive approach, namely examining datafrom literature, policy documents, and relevant previous research results. The analysis was conducted by examining the relationship between the objectives of PPKn, its application in learning, and its impact on the understanding of national values. The results of the study show that PPKn plays an important role as a means of internalising Pancasila values, developing democratic attitudes, andinstilling awareness of the rights and obligations of citizens. PPKn can be aneffective instrument in strengthening national insight if it is implemented in acontextual, participatory manner and integrated with the real lives of students. Therefore, optimising Civic Education learning is a strategic stepin maintaining national unity and strengthening national identity.

Abstract

This study discusses the function of the Archipelagic Concept as an instrument for preventing conflicts arising from cultural differences in Indonesia. With its multicultural society, characterised by hundreds of ethnic groups and diverse regional languages, Indonesia faces significant challenges in maintaining national unity amid such diversity. Intercultural friction often arises due to differences in value systems, conflicting interests, and a lack of national awareness. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, utilising literature reviews from various relevant legal documents and literature. The findings show that the application of the principles of Wawasan Nusantara, which include national unity, mutual respect, and equitable welfare, can strengthen national cohesion and anticipate cross-cultural conflicts. Recognition of customary legal systems and the application of local values have been shown to increase the credibility of legal institutions while maintaining balance in community life. However, its implementation still faces obstacles such as limited public knowledge of this concept and the impact of globalisation. Therefore, strengthening efforts are needed through an education system that respects diversity and public policies that prioritise the principle of social justice
