Abstract

Ibu yang memilki anak berkebutuhan khusus merasa pasrah dengan kondisi anaknya, merasa minder, merasa tidak dapat menerima kenyataan serta bingung bagaimana cara merawat dan merasa tidak dapat berbuat apa-apa terhadap anaknya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman ibu yang mempunyai anak usia sekolah dengan RM di SLBN A Citeureup Cimahi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi deskriptif. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah ibu yang mempunyai anak usia sekolah dengan RM. Lima partisipan terpilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview) dan dilengkapi dengan catatan lapangan (field note) di tempat yang sudah disepakati oleh partisipan dan peneliti. Wawancara mendalam direkam lalu dibuatkan transkrip dan dianalisis dengan metode Colaizzi. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh 8 tema yang menunjukan pengalaman ibu yang mempunyai anak usia sekolah dengan RM yakni: 1. Respon psikologis ibu yang mempunyai anak dengan RM, 2. Dampak terhadap psikologis dan fisik ibu yang mempunyai anak dengan RM, 3. Tanda dan gejala anak dengan RM, 4. Hambatan keluarga yang mempunyai anak dengan RM, 5. Stigma masyarakat dan lingkungan terhadap keberadaan anak dengan RM, 6. Dukungan internal dan eksternal keluarga yang mempunyai anak RM, 7. Upaya keluarga dalam memandirikan anak dengan RM, 8. Harapan keluarga terhadap keberadaan anak dengan RM. Hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar ibu dapat membentuk suatu komuniitas yang terdiri dari ibu yang mempunyai anak dengan RM untuk dapat berbagi pengalaman dalam merawat anak dengan RM di usia sekolah.

Abstract

Hospitalisasi dapat menimbulkan dampak dan krisis pada kehidupan anak.  Pengalaman orang tua terhadap kondisi anak yang mengharuskan dirawat di Rumah Sakit menjadikan sesuatu yang menegangkan. Respon orang tua dipengaruhi oleh salah satunya adanya peran orang tua sejuah mana keterlibatan orang tua ketika anak dirawat di lingkungan Rumah Sakit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui peran orang tua terhadap dampak hospitalisasi pada anak usia prasekolah di Rumah Sakit Dustira Cimahi. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap anak usia prasekolah (4-6 tahun) yang dirawat di Rumah Sakit Dustira Cimahi dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 74 orang. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner, data dianalisis dengan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Orang tua yang memiliki peran yang baik sebanyak 54,1%. Anak yang berusia 4-6 tahun yang memiliki respon positif terhadap hospitalisasi sebanyak 60%. Peran orang tua siginifikan mempengaruhi dampak hospitalisasi anak usia prasekolah (p-value = 0,042). Memaksimalkan peran orang tua dapat direkomendasikan oleh Pihak Rumah Sakit dalam menentukan strategi koping yang akan diberikan pada anak yang mengalami hospitalisasi.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is the psychological state of a person who is worried and afraid of something that has not happened yet and is a sign that helps the individual to prepare to take action in the face of a threat. The level of anxiety in mothers can affect vaccination status and contribute to the uneven distribution of children getting the COVID-19 vaccine. The COVID-19 vaccine target for older children's schools is 26.5 million, and the current COVID-19 vaccine achievement rate for school-age children is 15 million (56.6%) with complete vaccination status. This shows that 11.5 million children (43%) are still not fully vaccinated against COVID-19. One of the causes is maternal anxiety about the COVID-19 vaccine. Objectives: This study was to identify the relationship between anxiety levels Mothers with COVID-19 vaccination status for school-age children at Public Elementary School Cipageran Mandiri 2. Methods: analytical survey research methodology with cross sectional design, research sample a total of 237 respondents with simple stratified random sampling. Data collection techniques use questionnaires in the form of google forms. Data analysis with chi-square test statistical application. Results: The results showed that 65% of mothers did not experience anxiety about Covid-19 vaccination. The covid-19 vaccination status was obtained, and most had a complete covid-19 vaccination status of 73%. The results of statistical analysis showed that there was a relationship between the level of maternal anxiety and the status of Covid-19 vaccination in school-age children at Public Elementary School Cipageran Mandiri 2 with a value of p = 0.000. Conclusion: COVID-19 vaccination status in children is related to maternal anxiety in responding to the importance or absence of the COVID-19 vaccine. This is because 27% of children still have not been vaccinated, where vaccination is mandatory to reduce COVID-19 morbidity and mortality.

Abstract

Background: Gastroenteritis is inflammation that occurs in the digestive tract, namely the mucosa of the stomach and small intestine. One of the symptoms of gastroenteritis is diarrhea. Diarrhea is the second cause of death in children under five, and was the cause of the deaths of 370,000 children in 2019. One action that can reduce the frequency of diarrhea is the acupressure technique. Method: The method of this case study is a case report in the form of maintenance by applying evidence-based nursing to patients who are managing acute gastroenteritis who are experiencing diarrhea problems by applying acupressure techniques for 2 days with data collection techniques of interviews, observation, physical examination and documentation study. The technique was carried out for 2 days with 2 meetings each day in the morning and evening with a duration of 1 minute at the points St 36, Cv 12, Bl 25, and Li 4 using the tonification technique. The inclusion criteria for this acupressure technique are children aged 0-5 years, children with acute diarrhea problems, given pharmacological therapy and with parental consent. Results: It was found that the frequency of defecation before the acupressure technique was carried out was liquid defecation 5 times, after acupressure therapy the frequency of defecation was reduced to 3 times. Conclusion: After implementing EBN, acupressure was proven to reduce the frequency of defecation in gastroenteric patients.

Abstract

Remaja putri mengalami peningkatan kebutuhan zat gizi terutama zat besi akibat proses pematangan seksual dan menstruasi bulanan. Jika kebutuhan zat besi tidak terpenuhi dapat menyebabkan risiko anemia. Prevalensi anemia pada tahun 2018 sebesar 48,9% meningkat dari tahun 2013 sebesar 37,1%. Kondisi ini dapat berdampak negatif pada perkembangan fisik, kognitif, dan kesehatan secara keseluruhan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendidikan kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang pentingnya asupan tablet tambah darah (TTD) dalam mencapai status gizi optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh  pendidikan kesehatan melalui media scrapbook terhadap pengetahuan remaja putri tentang TTD. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental. Populasi penelitian adalah siswi kelas VIII SMPN 1 Cisitu, dengan sampel 56 siswi diambil menggunakan teknik Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner yang diambil melalui pretest dan posttest. Instrumen pengukuran tingkat pengetahuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini telah diuji validitasnya dengan nilai r > r tabel (0,361) dan dinyatakan reliabel dengan nilai Alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,743 (> 0,6), sehingga instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terbukti valid dan reliabel. Analisis data univariat dengan distribusi frekuensi dan bivariat menggunakan uji Marginal Homogeneity. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebelum pendidikan kesehatan, 38 siswi (67,9%) memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup, dan setelah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan, pengetahuan meningkat menjadi baik pada 46 siswi (82,1%). Uji Marginal Homogeneity menunjukkan nilai p value 0,000 (α < 0,05), terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui media scrapbook terhadap pengetahuan remaja tentang TTD.

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 crisis has heightened stress levels across the population, potentially triggering unhealthy dietary habits and contributing to weight gain. The stress experienced during this period is critical in shaping eating patterns and influencing nutritional health.  Objective: This study explores the existing literature on the connection between stress levels, dietary habits, and nutritional health among adults aged 18 to 65 during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Methods: A literature review examined articles from the PubMed-Medline and Google Scholar databases, focusing on publications from 2020 to 2022. The search terms included “Eating Behavior,” “Obesity,” “Mental Health” and, “COVID-19 Pandemic.”  Results: The COVID-19 pandemic led to increased emotional eating, decreased physical activity, and higher anxiety and depression, contributing to short-term weight gain and worsened obesity. Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic has had notable short-term effects on eating behaviors, mental health, and obesity risk. Interventions aimed at stress management and promoting healthy lifestyle habits during lockdowns are essential to mitigate adverse nutritional and psychological consequences.

Abstract

Introduction: According to the World Health Organization 2024 diarrhea is the third leading cause of death in children. It is estimated that around 443,823 people die each year. Diarrhea is related to Clean and Healthy Living Behavior, environmental sanitation quality and unhygienic habits such as not washing hands before eating or after doing activities related to the environment. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between handwashing behavior with soap and the incidence of diarrhea in children at Bojongsari 02 Elementary School, Bekasi Regency. Method: The research design used an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional time approach. Data were analyzed using univariate frequency distribution analysis and bivariate chi-square data analysis with a significance of a = 0.05. Result and Discussion: The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between handwashing behavior with soap and the incidence of diarrhea in children at Bojongsari 02 Elementary School, Bekasi Regency (p-value 0.000). It was found that 56.1% of children at SDN Bojongsari 02, Bekasi Regency had adequate handwashing behavior with soap and 75.6% of children at Bojongsari 02 Elementary School, Bekasi Regency did not experience diarrhea in the last 3 months. Conclusion: It is recommended that nurse provide education or counseling on handwashing with soap (CTPS) in every elementary school in their work area.
