Abstract

Student achievement is very important and meaningful in the world of education, this picture can be seen from the grouping of classrooms, determining talents and interests as well as the level of ability and willingness of students according to the abilities of each individual. This is why researchers conducted research at MIS NW 03 Pancor with data from class 4 as many as 23 students, class 5 as many as 27 students, and class 6 as many as 25 students which were related to variables in student learning achievement. In determining this matter, the school still uses conventional decision-making methods, so it is still difficult to determine student achievement according to their abilities. Thus, schools need to make changes that can help employees and institutions improve education quality by knowing student learning achievements. As for this problem, the author provides a solution that requires a calculation system with the concept of data mining. Mastery of learning material is one of the benchmarks for obtaining student grades and this is one of the policies in determining student achievement. Apart from grades, there are also attitudes and skills which are factors in determining student achievement at school. This can be solved with one of the techniques in data mining that can be used for grouping, namely clustering. The results of this research are a system that can make it easier for schools to quickly and accurately group student achievement using k-means which is optimized using the elbow method with the results obtained, namely cluster 1 "good" with 9 students, cluster 2 "very good" with 6 students, cluster 3 is "fairly good" as many as 8 students and the Davies Bouldin value is 0.711 and the AVG within centroid distance is 18.821 so it can help the school in determining student achievement groups

Abstract

The water area in Indonesia is wider than the land area, therefore Indonesia is known as a maritime country. Indonesia also has many natural resources that come from the ocean, for example fish. Coastal communities use fish as their livelihood, where most of them become fishermen. Fishing is a daily job to meet the family's economic needs. The Fishermen's Community can be called a group of people who mostly work as fishermen. This group of people is different from people who live in lowland and highland areas, they have different characteristics, natural factors have changed their lifestyle and also their economy. It is because of the uniqueness of their lifestyle that makes the author interested in conducting research. This research uses existing data to obtain new information from that data. Researchers will predict the level of welfare of fishing communities in East Lombok using the Naive Bayes algorithm. To support the results of the decisions that will be evaluated, researchers use five variables, namely: Education, family members, wells, employment and housing. From these five variables, researchers hope to get good final results that can be used to predict the level of welfare of the fishing community in East Lombok. Evaluation is carried out using the Naive Bayes algorithm, this algorithm was chosen because it suits the characteristics of the data we have. Naive Bayes is a simple algorithm. The final results of this research were 99% for accuracy value, 81% for precision value and 100% for recall

Abstract

This research aims to describe the ability to solve PISA model mathematics problems in terms of the adversity quotient. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were at least 1 camper subject, 1 quitter subject, and 1 climber subject. The data collection methods are documentation, questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The data analysis method is carried out in 5 stages: data transcription, data reduction, data validation or triangulation, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results obtained are (1) Students with low AQ (Quitter) have abilities up to level 2 in mathematical literacy in solving PISA model mathematics problems. (2) Students with medium AQ (Camper) have abilities up to level 4 in mathematical literacy in solving PISA model mathematics problems. (3) Students with high AQ (Climber) have the ability up to level 6 in mathematical literacy in solving PISA model mathematics problems.

Abstract

Dalam era digital yang berkembang pesat, kebutuhan akan pemantauan dan pengendalian peralatan listrik secara efisien semakin meningkat. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan sebuah aplikasi yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk melakukan monitoring dan pengendalian peralatan listrik secara remote menjadi penting. Aplikasi ini akan memanfaatkan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) untuk menghubungkan peralatan listrik dengan jaringan internet, sehingga memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengontrolnya dari jarak jauh melalui perangkat seluler atau komputer. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyediakan solusi yang praktis, aman, dan efisien bagi pengguna untuk mengelola peralatan listrik mereka tanpa harus secara fisik berada di lokasi tersebut. Dengan menggunakan aplikasi ini, pengguna akan dapat memantau status peralatan listrik, mengontrol daya, dan mengatur jadwal operasi sesuai kebutuhan mereka secara remote. Dalam pengembangan aplikasi ini menggunakan dua mikrokontroler, yaitu: NodeMCU ESP8266 dan ESP32. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Model pengembangan pada penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk media atau alat secara fisik. Tahapan penelitian pada model ADDIE yaitu: tahap analisis, tahap rancangan, tahap pengembangan, tahap implementasi, dan tahap evaluasi. Jenis dan sumber data yang digunakan yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu studi literatur dan observasi.

Abstract

Virtual laboratories offer a great way to overcome the limitations of physical laboratories and make learning more interactive and meaningful in the modern era. Moreover, some schools have limitations in physical laboratories. On the other hand, teacher skills in managing and using virtual laboratories are still very minimal. Some teachers even do not know about virtual simulations such as PhET or livewire. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the ability of prospective teacher students to utilize science learning technology through training using virtual laboratories created by PhET (Physics Education Technology). This PkM activity was carried out on prospective teacher students at Hamzanwadi University. The number of participants was 40 people and was carried out for 4 days. There are 3 core stages of PkM activities, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The results of the activity showed that participants better understood the functions and benefits of virtual laboratories. They are also better able to create inventive and technology-based science learning plans. Participants also felt satisfied and very satisfied with the training activities

Abstract

Materi kebencanaan mengalami permasalahan berupa rendahnya minat belajar siswa karena dinilai abstrak dan kurang menarik ketika disampaikan secara konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penggunaan video animasi kartun 3D dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa sekolah dasar pada materi mitigasi bencana. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini berangkat dari Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experiment. Lokasi penelitian ini Adalah SDN 1 Glora, Sikur. Sampel penelitian Adalah siswa kelas IV.  Instrumen penelitian berupa angket minat belajar, observasi, dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengukur perubahan minat belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan minat belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA materi mitigasi bencana gempa bumi. Aspek-aspek minat belajar yang mengalami peningkatan meliputi perhatian, ketertarikan, keterlibatan aktif, dan keingintahuan terhadap materi. Penyajian materi melalui video animasi 3D yang menarik, interaktif, dan mudah dipahami terbukti mampu membangun suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan memotivasi siswa untuk terlibat lebih aktif. Dengan demikian, media video animasi kartun 3D dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada topik-topik yang kompleks seperti mitigasi bencana.

Abstract

The development of information technology demands society to participate in developing itself. But the fact is that there are still many people who do not understand technology especially related to computers. More specifically in primary school students, there is still minimal knowledge about computer operation and Microsoft word. Therefore it is necessary to conduct training on the basics of computers. This training will be held on October 1-3, 2024 at the hall of the village office Masbagik Timur. This training activity consists of 4 stages, namely the analysis of needs and identification of problems of students in the village of East Masbagik related to computer technology, the preparation of training materials, this activity is training for 3 days, and the last is the evaluation of training activities. Based on the training activities it was concluded that these training activities went smoothly and followed the initial objectives of the training activities. The enthusiasm of primary school students to attend this training is quite high

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melatih dan membimbing para guru dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berbasis teknologi sehingga mereka tidak lagi terbebani permasalahan administrasi. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keluhan guru yang merasa terbebani urusan administrasi hingga mengurangi fokus mengajar. Sementara itu, perkembangan teknologi, khususnya Artificial Intelligence (AI), sangat pesat dan dapat dimanfaatkan dalam pendidikan. Namun faktanya, banyak guru belum memanfaatkannya karena kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan penggunaan AI. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam pemanfaatan AI. Program dilaksanakan dengan dua metode, yaitu ceramah dan pelatihan. Ceramah digunakan untuk memberikan pemahaman konsep dan potensi AI dalam pendidikan, sedangkan pelatihan berfokus pada pendampingan penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran berbantuan AI agar guru dapat langsung mengimplementasikannya dalam kegiatan mengajar sehari-hari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan AI untuk perencanaan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan kuesioner evaluasi, 90% peserta menyatakan sangat puas terhadap materi, metode, dan pendampingan yang diberikan, sedangkan 10% menyatakan puas. Seluruh peserta menyebut pelatihan ini relevan dengan kebutuhan mereka dan menambah motivasi untuk memanfaatkan AI dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, program pengabdian ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam pemanfaatan AI, tetapi juga memberikan kepuasan tinggi bagi peserta, menunjukkan keberhasilan pelaksanaan kegiatan dan potensi keberlanjutannya di masa depan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the implementation of PhET simulation-assisted deep learning on students' problem-solving skills by considering their level of learning motivation. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a 2x2 factorial model. The research subjects involved two classes: an experimental class that received PhET simulation-assisted deep learning treatment and a control class that received conventional learning. The research instruments included a problem-solving skills test in the form of essay questions and a validated learning motivation questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using a two-way ANOVA test to examine the effect of learning methods, motivation levels, and their interaction on problem-solving skills. The results showed that PhET simulation-assisted deep learning significantly improved problem-solving skills compared to conventional learning. Students with high learning motivation achieved better problem-solving scores than students with low motivation, both in the experimental and control groups. In addition, there was a significant interaction between learning methods and learning motivation, where students with high motivation who participated in deep learning showed the highest improvement in problem-solving skills. These findings confirm that PhET simulation-assisted deep learning is effective for developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in students with high learning motivation. The implications of this research encourage educators to integrate in-depth learning and technology-based interactive media in the science learning process, as well as pay attention to strategies for increasing learning motivation as an important factor in achieving optimal learning outcomes.
