Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses dan hasil pengembangan “PAKSOBRI” dengan Quiz Faber mata kuliah Aljabar Linier Elementer di Universitas Islam Jember. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa metode wawancara, observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Dengan model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model 4D yang dipangkas menjadi 3D dimana hanya sebatas mengembangakan produk saja. Adapun tahapan yang dilalui antara lain yaitu: (1) Tahap pendefinisian (define) yang meliputi analisis awal akhir, analisis subjek, analisis materi, analisis tugas, analisis tujuan pembelajaran, dan analisis indikator hasil belajar; (2) Tahap Perancangan (design) yang melipiti penentuan jenis soal, dan penentuan format soal; (3) Tahap Pengembangan (develop) yang meliputi validasi ahli materi, kebahasaan dan tampilan, uji keterbacaan, dan uji coba kelompok kecil. Kemudian hasil dari pengembangan “PAKSOBRI” dengan Quiz Faber dapat dipaparkan bahwa telah berhasil dikembangkan “PAKSOBRI” dengan Quiz Faber yang layak digunakan dimana hasil tersebut diperkuat dengan persentase validasi ahli materi sebesar 94%, validasi ahli bahasa sebesar 80% dan validasi ahli tampilan sebesar 80%. Kemudian “PAKSOBRI” dengan Quiz Faber memiliki isi yang cukup jelas dan mudah dipahami oleh pembaca dimana pada uji keterbacaan rata-rata persentase penilaian yang diberikan sebesar 80%. Selain itu juga “PAKSOBRI” dengan Quiz Faber disukai oleh berbagai kelompok mahasiswa dengan tinjauan perbedaan nilai hasil belajar dimana berdasarkan respon mahasiswa jawaban yang diberikan adalah sangan suka dan suka dengan persentase rata-ratanya sebesar 83.33%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa “PAKSOBRI” dengan Quiz Faber layak digunakan pada mata kuliah Aljabar Linier Elementer di Universitas Islam Jember Kata Kunci: PAKSOBRI, Quiz Faber

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models on students' level of understanding of mathematical concepts. The sample in this study were students of class XI MAN Jember 1. The results showed that the level of understanding of the mathematical concepts of students taught by problem-based learning models was higher than students taught by the lecture method. By consulting the value of F count 4.788859655 and F table 3.99 then F count> F table there is an influence. The level of understanding of students' mathematical concepts taught by the Problem Based Learning Model and Lecture Method is not related to initial achievement. By consulting the value of F count 0.092804855 and F table 3.14, then F count <F table there is no effect. There is no interaction between the use of Problem Based Learning Model and Lecture Method and student achievement. By consulting the value of F count 1.038540086 and F table 3.14, then F count <F table there is no effect. So it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model is suitable for use in mathematics learning and can increase achievement, activity and creativity. In addition, this learning model is suitable for students with various levels of achievement, not only students with certain achievements. So that the problem-based learning model can be used as one of the preferred learning models that can be applied in schools Keywords: PBL, level of understanding

Abstract

            The purpose of the research is to describe the reasoning of the introvert students in junior high school in solving mathematical problems. The type of the research is descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were the seventh grade students in junior high school having an introvert personality. The subjects were given the task of solving the problem to know Math reasoning in solving Mathematical problems. The data collection methods used were questionnaire, interview, and test.  The writer then used triangulation to minimize the writer’s subjectivity. The findings indicated that the mathematical reasoning of introvert subject in solving mathematical problems, including the process of gathering the facts related to the problem and then do the analysis, then make a conjecture and submitted arguments to reinforce the conjecture that had been filled and for which the latter is to draw conclusions and validate the conclusions that had been made. The accuracy of the subjects in terms of doing their tasks makes them to re-check the calculations they made. It is therefore, that they did not make a mistake in calculating. Then expertise in writing makes the subject gave a very long answer, full, and clear.Key Words : reasoning, problem solving, and introvert personality

Abstract

This research is aimed at investigating the correlation between learning style and creativity of MA student’s in solving the story-based mathematical problems. This is the corelational research with quantitative approach. The subjects of the research are the ten ggraders at MA Azza Ainul Yaqin. The subjects are given the test to know the creativity in solving the story-based mathematical problems. The data collection methods are documentation, questionnaire, and test. All the data gained in this study was analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient. The result of the research are r product = 0.562 and r table = 0.413 it’s mean that r product > r table so accepted Ha and reject Ho. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant corelatiaon between learning style and creativity of MA student’s in solving the story-based mathematical problems. The suggestion is that the teacher must care about learning style and creativity student’s in order to make the student get maximum score in the school.Key Words: learnig style, creativity

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to know any significant effect of using Lah Bako mathematic learning strategy on students learning outcome as local wisdom in Jember. The kind of the research is exsperimental with quantitative approach. The subjects of the research are V grade students’. The data collecting methods are documentation, test and interview. After testing of the using Lah Bako mathematic learning strategy, the results of student outcome is better. The value of chi squre is 30,000 and table of chi squre is 3,481, it means that chi squre is higher than table of chi squre. Based on the results, it can be inferred that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, and the conclusion is, there is a significant effect of using Lah Bako mathematic learning strategy on students learning outcome as local wisdom in Jember. The suggestion of the research is, teacher as the main key on learning process must be creative and inovative to compile the learning strategy, where the learning strategy is used not only for reaching the learning purpose but also learning strategy which invite the students for knowing surrounding local wisdom, as using Lah Bako (Latihan Hitung Bangun Kongkret) learning strategy that it’s name of traditional dance from Jember.Keywords: Lah Bako strategy, learning outcome.

Abstract

Most students assume that mathematics is a complex subject and has a higher level of difficulty in its teaching. The subject of this study is the seventh grade students of Darunnajah Wuluhan Jember Middle School. Based on the existing problems in this study, a problem was formulated, namely how the process of implementing RME based on Video Streaming in Grade VII students of Darunnajah Wuluhan Middle School and whether RME based on Video Streaming could improve students’ learning outcomes. The results revealed that the students’ learning outcomes respective in Cycle I was 70.05% and Cycle II was 94.1%. Thus, it shows an increase of 11.8% in mathematics learning. It can be concluded that RME based on Video Streaming can improve students’ learning outcomes. Keywords: RME, Video Streaming

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic, which has swept the world for almost two, years has changed the implementation of education in Indonesia. Learning that was previously always done face-to-face has now been shifted to distance learning, which in its performance is a challenge, especially for mathematics teachers. So far, the problems faced by teachers are difficulties in making students more enthusiastic in learning during the online learning period and challenges in developing students' thinking skills. A learning model is needed that can train students so that during online learning, students can still practice improving their 4C thinking skills. This research is a descriptive study in the form of a literature review conducted by reviewing several literatures. Based on the literature review, it can be seen that one approach that can be used is a project-based Quantum Teaching and Learning (QTL) approach which can be presented in web form so that students are more motivated during the online learning period. Based on theoretical studies from several articles, it is known that learning QTL can increase students' learning motivation because QTL is taught according to students' thinking. Giving projects that are in accordance with students' interests can be added to QTL learning to train students to improve 4C thinking skills.

Abstract

Struktur aljabar merupakan salah satu mata kuliah wajib di prodi pendidikan matematika Universitas Islam Jember. Ketika mempelajari struktur aljabar terdapat beberapa masalah yang dialami mahasiswa, adapun masalah tersebut diantaranya: rendahnya hasil belajar, dengan patokan KKM 75 dan ketuntasan klasikal yang dapat dicapai hanya 25 %. Menyikapi permasalah tersebut, perlu mempertimbangkan karakteristik dalam proses pembelajaran, yaitu modalitas belajar khususnya gaya belajar. Selain mempertimbangkan aspek gaya belajar juga perlu dipertimbangkan penggunaan komputer karena komputer memiliki keistimewaan yang dapat untuk mengatasi masalah dalam pembelajaran.Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan lembar kerja mahasiswa “LEKER GABEL” dengan Hot Potatos yang baik pada mata kuliah struktur aljabar, kemudian mengetahui keefektifan dan perbandingan hasil belajar menggunakan lembar kerja yang dikembangkan dan tidak di Universitas Islam Jember. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu perpaduan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model Thiagarajan yang dikenal dengan model 4D. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, tes dan dokumentasi.Adapun hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu dihasilkan lembar kerja mahasiswa “LEKER GABEL” dengan Hot Potatos yang baik dan layak digunakan serta efektif diterapkan pada mata kuliah struktur aljabar dengan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang menggunakan lembar kerja yang dikembangkan lebih baik daripada yang tidak di Universitas Islam Jember.Kata kunci: LEKER GABEL, Hot Potatos, dan Hasil Belajar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika siswa pokok bahasan aritmatika sosial di kelas VII Mts Ma’arif Ambulu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Peningkatan rata rata keaktifan belajar pada setiap pertemuan mengalami peningkatan dimana siklus I pertemuan pertama rata-rata persentase keaktifan belajar siswa sebesar 75 % dan pada pertemuan kedua meningkat menjadi 78,125%. Pada siklus II pertemuan pertama rata-rata persentase keaktifan belajar siswa sebesar 87,5% dan pada pertemuan kedua meningkat menjadi 93,75%. Sedangkan untuk hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I rata-rata ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 65,625 % dari 21 siswa atau meningkat sebesar 31,25% dari persentase rata – rata pra siklus, pada siklus II rata-rata ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 87,5 % dari 28 siswa atau meningkat sebesar 53, 125 % dari nilai awal pra siklus.Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learnig (PBL), Prezi, Aktivitas, Hasil Belajar, Aritmatika Sosial

Abstract

Dimasa pandemi seperti sekarang ini, dunia pendidikan mulai beralih menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis online. Menurut pengalaman saya menjadi volunteer banyak peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan belajar, walaupun sudah diberi latihan soal mereka masih kebingungan. Berpandangan pada kondisi tersebut memunculkan ide bagaimana mengajar yang mudah dimengerti tanpa mengganggu kondisi psikologis peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan hasil pengembangan PRISMA LEKER WAIZ. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan dengan model ASSURE yang meliputi enam tahapan utama. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa dokumentasi, observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes. Berdasarkan tahapan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat dipaparkan bahwa telah berhasil dikembangkan PRISMA LEKER WAIZ yang melalui tahapan analisis peserta didik, analisis tujuan pembelajaran, analisis metode, media dan bahan, pemanfaatan media dan bahan, partisipasi peserta didik, evaluasi dan revisi. Kemudian juga dapat dikatakan bahwa PRISMA LEKER WAIZ yang telah dikembangkan layak digunakan dimasa pandemi. Hal tersebut diperkuat dengan nilai yang diberikan validator materi sebesar dan validator media sebesar . PRISMA LEKER WAIZ memiliki isi yang jelas dan mudah dipahami dengan beragam bentuk soal latihan yang disertai dengan kunci jawaban, serta mudah diakses peserta didik. Selain itu PRISMA LEKER WAIZ juga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran berbasis online maupun offline
