Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas media pembelajaran berbasis Android materi tata nama senyawa kimia mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan kognitif siswa SMA yang menggunakan mediapembelajaran pembelajaran berbasis Android materi tata nama senyawa Kimia dengan pembelajaran menggunakan LKS. Metode yang diguankan dalam penelitian ini adalah  R&D  yang didaptasi model pengembangan Borg & Gall dan 4D. Hasil dari pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis android pada materi tata nama senyawa menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan layak untuk diaplikasikan dan memiliki kualitas sangat baik, baik dari aspek materi ataupun media. Kemudian, media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan juga mampu meningkatkan Kemampuan Kognitif Siswa setelah diaplikasikan ke dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil uji hipotesis yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan peningkatan Kemampuan Kognitif Siswa yang menggunakan media yang dikembangkan dengan yang menggunakan LKS. Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of Android-based learning media for chemical compound nomenclature material to know the differences in the cognitive ability enhancement of high school students who use Android-based learning media for chemical compound nomenclature materials by learning using LKS. The method used in this research is R&D adapted to the Borg & Gall and 4D development models. The results of the development of Android-based learning media on compound nomenclature material show that the media developed is feasible to be applied and has very good quality, both in terms of material and media aspects. Then, the learning media developed can also improve students' cognitive abilities after they are applied to learning. This is evident from the results of hypothesis testing which shows that there is a difference in the increase in students' cognitive abilities using developed media and those using LKS.

Abstract

The use of chemical insecticides as mosquito repellent has the potential to cause negative impacts on health and the environment. Therefore, this study aims to develop Citrussera Spray, an organic mosquito repellent made from orange peel and lemongrass. The content of active compounds such as limonene in orange peel and citronellal in lemongrass have properties as natural repellents. The research method includes extraction of active ingredients using steam distillation and maceration methods, spray formulation, and effectiveness tests on mosquitoes. The results showed that Citrussera Spray has high effectiveness in repelling mosquitoes compared to controls without repellent. In addition, safety tests showed that this product is safe to use without causing skin irritation. Thus, Citrussera Spray can be an innovative alternative as an organic mosquito repellent that is environmentally friendly and safe for health.

Abstract

This research was conducted to evaluate the water quality of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) hatchery ponds at the Fish Seed Center (Balai Benih Ikan, BBI) located in Tepas Sepakat Village, West Sumbawa Regency. Water quality is a critical factor that directly influences the success of aquaculture, particularly in hatchery operations where the survival and growth rates of fish fry are highly dependent on optimal environmental conditions. The study assessed key water quality parameters including temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, ammonia concentration, and water transparency. Measurements were carried out quantitatively through direct sampling from three hatchery ponds containing fry of different ages and sizes, with data collected over three consecutive days during morning and afternoon sessions. The results indicated that all measured parameters remained within the acceptable ranges established by the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 7550:2009) for freshwater aquaculture. Water temperature ranged between 25.9°C and 27.9°C, DO levels varied from 3.9 to 5.2 mg/L, pH values ranged from 7.5 to 8.2, ammonia concentration was consistently below 0.1 mg/L, and water clarity ranged from 40 to 46 cm. Although water clarity slightly exceeded the standard threshold, it was still within a tolerable range that could support sufficient light penetration for photosynthesis without posing risks to the aquatic ecosystem. These findings suggest that the water quality at the BBI Tepas Sepakat hatchery ponds is generally suitable for supporting healthy and productive tilapia breeding. However, continuous monitoring and adaptive water quality management, particularly concerning dissolved oxygen and light penetration, are recommended to maintain optimal rearing conditions and ensure long-term sustainability of the hatchery operations. These findings can serve as a useful reference in promoting sustainable aquaculture practices and can be used in aquaculture training programs to improve water quality management.

Abstract

Water is a very important basic need for human life. The fulfillment of water needs in Beru Village is highly dependent on groundwater, which is extracted by digging wells. Due to the community’s dependence on the availability of well water, it is very important to monitor and assess groundwater quality in Beru Village. The lack of related research makes this research very important to do. The purpose of this study is to analyze groundwater quality in Beru Village, Jereweh District, West Sumbawa Regency. Water quality test parameters use the parameters include pH, temperature, conductivity, TDS, and DO. The average values of each parameter sequentially are 7.07; 30.18OC; 752.71 µS/cm; 377.91 mg/L; and 4.83 mg/L. On average, the quality of groundwater is classified as good and meets the required quality standards. Based on pollution index calculation, water quality based on parameters pH (PIj=0.92) and TDS (PIj=0.497) is classified as good, while water quality based on parameters temperature (PIj=1.079) and DO (PIj=1.162) is categorized as slightly polluted but relatively safe to use for sanitary hygiene needs.

Abstract

Oil is one of the most popular media for the ozonation process compared to other media such as water or saline methods or direct exposure to blood. Ozonated oil has an advantage over other ozone therapy methods because ozonated oil has an antiseptic activity that is several hundred times higher than ozonated saline. Sumbawa oil is one of the local wisdom products of the Sumbawa tribal community, which is generally used as medicine or massage therapy to heal injuries such as broken bones, tendonitis, bruises, back pain and treatment of various skin wounds. An ozonation process can be carried out to increase the ability of Sumbawa oil to regenerate skin and repair tissue. Ozonation uses a Double Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DDBD) plasma reactor. The DDBD Plasma Reactor is a reactor that can produce ozone gas with very high purity. Pure ozone gas is very well applied in the medical world. This research aims to increase the peroxide levels in Sumbawa oil by ozonation using a Double Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DDBD) Plasma reactor. The flow rates used were 0.1 L/minute, 0.4 L/minute and 0.7 L/minute for 1 hour, 3 hours and 5 hours. The results showed that the peroxide value increased with increasing oxygen flow rate and ozonation time. The highest peroxide value was obtained at a flow rate of 0.7 L/minute for 5 hours, namely 332.03 mg Eq/kg Sumbawa oil. Increased by 282.71 mg Eq/kg; the peroxide figure for Sumbawa oil without ozonation was 49.32 mg Eq/kg.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kualitas air tanah di kawasan pesisir Desa Labuhan Kertasari, Kabupaten Sumbawa Barat. Metode penelItian yang digunakan yaitu observasi langsung ke lapangan, dan titik sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling, yaitu sebanyak 40 titik. Analisis kualitas air dilakukan dengan mengukur nilai parameter fisika dan kimia yang meliputi pH, TDS, dan DO. Pengukuruan parameter-parameter penelitian dilakukan secara insitu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas air di Desa Labuhan Kertasari menunjukkan terdapat 7,5% yang termasuk kelas I, sesuai dengan baku mutu air yang ditetapkan, yaitu pada SW25, SW26 dan SW28 dengan nilai TDS berturut-turut: 893 mg/L; 836 mg/L; 904 mg/L, nilai pH berturut-turut: 7,36; 7,25; 7,76 dan nilai DO berturut-turut: 7,2; 6,9; 7,4. Air pada titik sampel S26 memiliki kualitas yang paling baik dari 40 titik sampel.http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/aec.v6.i1.2021.p22-32
