Abstract

The stunting problem in Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta City, ranks second among 18 other regions, with 118 children under five. Because posyandu plays a crucial role in speeding the elimination of stunting, the capacity of cadres must be considered. According to the findings of the multi-factorial FGD, the causes of stunting in Umbulharjo Village are a lack of optimum counseling and eating patterns for market-dependent children. The goal is to enhance health independence and food security by creating an anti-stunting sustainable food yard (P2L) and a digital-based information system, with a target of 23 posyandu cadres. Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) employs a method that covers requirements analysis, design, mentorship, and implementation and evaluation stages. Results: The cadres' knowledge of vegetable gardening went from 16% to 75%, their skills increased from 7% to 70%, and their motivation to plant vegetables increased from 55% to 90%. Similarly, cadres' average understanding of the processing of diverse local food ingredients improved from 30% to 75%, and their educational ability increased from 5% to 70%. Conclusion: Empowering posyandu cadres to achieve zero stunting in Yogyakarta through digital and creative health has expanded natural and human resource capacity in Umbulharjo Village, Yogyakarta City

Abstract

The reactivity of oxidant compounds that exceed the limits of antioxidant protection ability can cause chain reactions which cause interference with the system. Prevention is needed to neutralize the oxidants, so that exogenous antioxidants are needed. One example is the jamblang fruit (Syzygium cumini (L)) which has high antioxidant activity due to its natural anthocyanin. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal form of yogurt with the addition of jamblang fruit extract with a concentration of 0%, 5%, 7.5% and 10% and the quality of SNI. Tests carried out include physical, chemical and microbiological tests, namely sensory, acid content, total protein, fat content, and a number of bacterial starters, as well as safety tests with storage at 4° C then 0, to 7, 14th, 21st and 28th day. Data analysis using MANOVA. The results of the effect of the product showed that the fruit of yogurt with 10% extract level provided good stability during storage. Decreased antioxidant levels on day 7 to day 28. Antioxidant activity is more stable than antioxidant jamblang fruit extract. The antioxidant activity of yogurt with 5% jamblang fruit extract; 7.5% and 10% on day 0% % inhibition value of 57.48%; 62.06%; and 73.01%.

Abstract

Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1) is a growth hormone mediator that acts as a growth-promoting factor in the growth process and is also an indicator of the adaptive immune system. Children who experience stunting will experience obstacles to growth and cognitive and motor development, affecting their productivity as adults. This research aims to determine IGF-1 levels and their relationship with stunted children's nutritional status. The research method used was observational, with a cross-sectional research design. The population of stunted children in the Tegalwangi locus area, Cirebon Regency, a sample of children aged 24-60 months who met the inclusion criteria of not being disabled and not being sick, was 50 children. The research began with parents filling in informed consent. Continue to fill in data on date of birth, measure height and weight, take @1ml of the child's blood, and analyze IGF-1 using the ELISA method. The research results were that the average IGF-1 level for men was 16,812 ± 5,164 ng/ml and for women 13,810 ± 5,111 ng/ml. Average IGF-1 levels aged 24-36 months were 14,777 ± 4,742 ng/ml, 36–48 months 17,050 ± 4,280 ng/ml, and 48–60 months 15,214 ± 6,248 ng/ml. Data analysis using the Pearson correlation test obtained a value of p=0.871 based on age, p=0.047 based on gender, p=0.643 based on Height for age, and p=0.245 based on Weight for age (95% CI). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the age of a stunted child and IGF-1 levels, and there is no relationship with nutritional status. All stunted children have IGF-1 values below the standard value for normal children based on the literature, namely ≥ 28.54 ng/ml.
