Abstract

Mailo.ltd is one of the businesses engaged in the fashion sector that sells its main products like T-shirts and sweaters in Palembang City. Mailo.ltd sells its products offline and online. However, there are still sales gaps every month and the target is less than stable. The target of Mailo.ltd sales is unstable due to low awareness from the public because Mailo.ltd implement 6 out of 8 marketing communication mix that can still be optimized. Therefore, a research was conducted using the benchmarking method to identify mixed marketing communication gaps and the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) as a tool in finding best practices as a reference in benchmarking recommendations for improvement in mixed marketing communication. The priority order of marketing communication recommendations that need to be implemented by Mailo.ltd includes the use of google ads, maximizing website quality through optimizing the SEO value and bounce rate, posting frequency on Instagram, using e-mail blasts, SMS advertising, adding official resellers, conducting campaigns. social and humanitarian donations, organize our own events, hold giveaways, and use point of purchase in stores

Abstract

One of the contributors to the agricultural sector, particularly in the plantation sub-sector, is the rubber industry, which accounts for 38.54% of Indonesia's rubber exports. This opportunity arises from the fact that 85% of rubber producers are smallholder farmers, while the remaining share is owned by state and private enterprises. Makmurman is an individual rubber business owner based in South Sumatra Province, with a 4-hectare rubber plantation that directly sells raw rubber to collectors. The rapid advancement of technology in modern life has led to increased use of elastic materials, thereby driving higher demand for rubber, especially in the automotive industry. As a result, Makmurman has experienced a surge in demand for raw rubber from collectors. However, Makmurman has been unable to meet this demand, likely due to the many variables involved in the production process and the sale of raw rubber, which have created challenges. To address these issues, a root cause analysis is conducted to identify the appropriate solution using the soft system methodology approach. Additionally, data processing is carried out using Vensim software to model the rubber production system in a real-world scenario. The results include the development of causal loop diagrams and stock flow diagrams. The expected outcome is a dynamic system simulation with various scenarios, ultimately identifying the best scenario that ensures the highest availability of rubber for Makmurman to meet the demands of the rubber collectors.

Abstract

Abstrak. PT. Abstract. PT. XYZ is a state-owned manufacturing company in Indonesia that produces both military and non-military products. This study employs the Six Sigma methodology using the DMAIC stages (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to identify issues through Critical to Quality (CTQ) and assess performance using DPU, DPO, DPMO, and sigma levels. The analysis revealed a DPMO value of 2091.46 with an average sigma level of 5.24. The primary causes of defects were identified using Pareto diagrams, p-charts, and fishbone diagrams, highlighting significant contributions from human, machine, material, and environmental factors. The proposed improvements include employee training to enhance understanding of SOPs, scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance for machinery, replacement of or collaboration with new vendors for raw materials, and workplace enhancements with centrifugal cooling systems and ear protection equipment. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to reduce defect rates, improve product quality, and enhance the efficiency of E-Clips production in the TC-AP Division of PT. XYZ sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and map the tempeh industry's supply chain to understand the economic pathway and carbon emissions. The research method uses a system-based approach with the output of a causal loop diagram that explores the dynamic relationship between variables in the small and medium scale tempeh industry supply chain. The results showed that the potential of the small and medium-scale tempeh industry in West Java is very high, especially in contributing to the economic value of the surrounding community. However, this potential has challenges regarding raw material procurement, where dependence on imported soybean raw material supplies makes the economic value for MSEs or the surrounding community not too large. This is due to the efficiency in the procurement of local soybeans and the inadequate stock of local soybean resilience to meet the needs of tempeh production in West Java’s supply chain. The findings also show that the longer the supply chain, the smaller the profitability and create more environmental impacts related to the carbon emissions generated. This study recommends a policy meeting to cut and streamline, and prioritize local soybeans and increase local soybean resilience stocks to better benefit tempeh SMEs in gaining profitability and minimizing the impact of carbon footprint risks, so that business and industrial activities are more sustainable.

Abstract

The increasing demand for jobs in Indonesia, coupled with limited employment opportunities, has encouraged many to establish Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Effective management is vital, especially for businesses with multiple branches, to ensure efficient product distribution and cost minimization. This study focuses on Sari Asih SME, a soes cake producer with several production facilities that supply various marketing locations. Using the Transportation Method from operational research, the study found that the optimal shipping cost is IDR 48,750, demonstrating a feasible and efficient solution.

Abstract

The textile modification process using plasma treatment requires accurate monitoring of gas species generated during operation; however, no system is currently available to measure these gas concentrations in real time. To address this gap, this study develops a plasma gas monitoring system for textile material modification, using experimental data obtained from laboratory tests conducted in 2024. The research employs a practical prototyping approach consisting of four stages: requirement identification, system design, prototype construction, and performance validation. The system is designed to continuously record plasma-generated gas concentrations and store the data in an internet-based database. The prototype consists of two main components: (1) a sensing unit built on an Arduino Uno microcontroller integrated with DHT-11 and MQ-131 sensors for measuring temperature, humidity, and ozone concentration, and (2) a data management platform using Google Spreadsheet connected to a mobile application to enable real-time monitoring and control. Evaluation results show that the monitoring tool achieved a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.6625 ppm, indicating that the system provides reasonably accurate measurements for initial validation. As this assessment is preliminary, future studies should employ a larger dataset to increase statistical robustness and further verify system performance. Overall, the findings contribute to the development of an accessible, Android-based plasma treatment monitoring system capable of supporting real-time monitoring in textile material modification applications.
