Abstract

The use of teaching aids in the learning process is a necessity in the world of education to improve students' mathematical understanding abilities. Students' abilities are the core of all knowledge transfer processes provided by teachers to students. Learning that is interesting and provides meaningful understanding can create a learning atmosphere and increase understanding abilities. The aim to be achieved in this research is to determine the increase in students' mathematical understanding abilities by applying mathematical teaching aids. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research or PTK. The results of the research were that there was an increase in mathematical understanding ability as seen in the results of the post test carried out in each cycle with complete details in cycle 1 amounting to 67.8% and in cycle 2 amounting to 89.2%

Abstract

In the process of teaching and learning activities, especially in mathematics subjects, there are still many students who get low grades. This is because students feel bored with the monotonous models, methods and learning strategies in class. Apart from that, the lack of use of creative and innovative learning media makes student learning outcomes low. This research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes by implementing PASTA learning media. The type of research used is Class Action (PTK). This Classroom Action Research was conducted on 28 students in class VII-1 at SMP Lab School FIP UMJ. The instruments used in this research were observation, documentation and tests. The results of this action research show that implementing PASTA learning media can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. This can be seen in cycle I, before using learning media, the average score for class VII-1 students was 65, but after action was taken in cycle II using PASTA learning media, the average score for students was 84. As well as an increase in learning outcomes. By implementing the PASTA learning media, the percentage of completeness can also be seen. The percentage of completion in cycle I was 54%, but in cycle II it increased to 93%. Both the percentage of learning completeness and the average student score in cycle II have met the specified criteria. Keywords: Instructional Media, Statistics board, Mathematics learning outcomes

Abstract

Modern learning in elementary schools requires adaptation to the diversity of student styles and needs. Although differentiated learning is relevant, its implementation is constrained by the lack of concrete strategies, especially in accommodating individualistic learning in collective classes. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila Monopoly media as an effective instrument in differentiated learning of PPKn subjects for grade II elementary school. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed thematically. The results show that Pancasila Monopoly significantly increases motivation, social interaction, cooperation, and understanding of abstract PPKn concepts, due to its gamification and collaborative nature. The contribution of this study is to provide empirical evidence of game media as a tool for differentiation of PPKn learning, offer practical strategies for teachers, and become the basis for developing a game-based curriculum.

Abstract

This study analyzes how artificial intelligence (AI) can be applied in educational settings, with a specific focus on career preparation via English-language job interview preparation. The study looks at how well AI-based programs, especially the Huru AI Interview Prep App, simulate job interviews in light of the importance of professional readiness in higher education. Data were gathered using a mixed-methods approach by distributing questionnaires with 15 statements to 31 respondents. In response to the results, 58% of students said that using AI tools, such as the Huru AI Interview Prep App, improved their ability to answer English-language job interview questions, which had a beneficial effect on their career preparation. Furthermore, four students participated in qualitative interviews using seven questions, which supported the quantitative findings and showed that AI-assisted job interview training greatly enhances students' English language skills and general preparedness for the workforce.

Abstract

Abstract: English as Foreign Language (EFL) teaching and learning process, it is inevitable for teachers and students to be engaged in various cases involving L1 use. Code-switching has arisen a debatable notion of what it brings, good or bad, in the educational milieu. To some extent, it is believed that code-switching is such a help for both teachers and students in achieving the learning target while to some party the use of code-switching is no more than a hurdle. The classroom context in Indonesia where teachers and students share the same first language showed that CS was used by teachers in EFL classrooms. The research indicated that teachers used CS in the teaching and learning process for various reasons. The main reason would be to facilitate students’ learning, besides that code-switching also has an effect on students vocabulary acquisition in L2. Keywords: code-switching, the effect of teacher’s code-switching, vocabulary.
