Abstract

This study was aimed at portraying teachers’ strategies in teaching speaking to students of Junior High School and recognizing these students’ responses toward those strategies by involving two English teachers and a class of 22 students. This research tried to find out whether or not the strategies used by the teachers in teaching speaking were effective. This was a case study which applied qualitative method. The instruments used to collect the data were interviews and questionnaire. Two English teachers of that school became the informants of the interview, while the questionnaire was distributed to the students. The results showed that in teaching speaking in English class, the strategies used by the teachers were discussion and storytelling. By implementing these two strategies, the students were able to use English easier, became more active and were able to receive the material well. The results of the questionnaire revealed that 73.18% students were interested in English learning, 76.59% students preferred storytelling strategy and 73.41% students thought that discussion strategy was more enjoyable for them.

Abstract

Character education is very important for the student, it will take affect in the future including style in marriage. That’s the important point why this journal is born. Character education in primary schooll is very important for the student. It will take affect to the student in the hole his futures life. And then after we realize character education is important thing, we do must reform the curriculum of system educational especially about character education. We use mixed methods on our research journal. Kuantitatif methods mixed with kualitatif methods. In order to collection data sampling on this research we use two way data collection technique, participant observation both nonparticipant observation. We take sampling upto 10 family.The result of our research from 10 family is there isn’t value up to 60 percent. But all under 60 percent value neither each person get good character education or get a good methods character education when he in primary school. The conclution is domectic violence happening in a lot of amount in Indonesia is because this factor ; first is because the rolemodel of family arround his life is a bad rolemodel. Second is because when he in golden age years he doesn’t get a good character education or doesn’t get a creative teaching from his teacher so that cause he not get enough character education.

Abstract

Teknologi sudah digunakan di berbagai jenjang usia, mulai dari anak-anak hingga orang dewasa. Berkaca dari hal tersebut, teknologi dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membantu peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Guru menjadi sumber utama dalam mengembangkan kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas, sehingga mengharuskan guru untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang kreatif, khususnya dengan penggunaan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi berkaitan dengan pemanfaatan E-Media Nearpod dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran di kelas. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi pustaka (literature review) dengan mengumpulkan data-data dari berbagai sumber,seperti jurnal, buku, karya tulis ilmiah, dan pustaka lainnya. Kumpulan data-data tersebut dianalisis satu persatu untuk dikelompokkan dan digabungkan menjadi suatu kesimpulan yang utuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan E-Media Nearpod sangat mendukung proses pembelajaran, terlihat dari peningkatan hasil belajar, kemampuan-kemampuan matematis, serta minat dan motivasipeserta didik. Oleh karena itu, E-Media Nearpod dapat digunakan guru untuk memproduksi dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk yang bervariasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

The use of teaching aids in the learning process is a necessity in the world of education to improve students' mathematical understanding abilities. Students' abilities are the core of all knowledge transfer processes provided by teachers to students. Learning that is interesting and provides meaningful understanding can create a learning atmosphere and increase understanding abilities. The aim to be achieved in this research is to determine the increase in students' mathematical understanding abilities by applying mathematical teaching aids. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research or PTK. The results of the research were that there was an increase in mathematical understanding ability as seen in the results of the post test carried out in each cycle with complete details in cycle 1 amounting to 67.8% and in cycle 2 amounting to 89.2%

Abstract

In the process of teaching and learning activities, especially in mathematics subjects, there are still many students who get low grades. This is because students feel bored with the monotonous models, methods and learning strategies in class. Apart from that, the lack of use of creative and innovative learning media makes student learning outcomes low. This research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes by implementing PASTA learning media. The type of research used is Class Action (PTK). This Classroom Action Research was conducted on 28 students in class VII-1 at SMP Lab School FIP UMJ. The instruments used in this research were observation, documentation and tests. The results of this action research show that implementing PASTA learning media can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. This can be seen in cycle I, before using learning media, the average score for class VII-1 students was 65, but after action was taken in cycle II using PASTA learning media, the average score for students was 84. As well as an increase in learning outcomes. By implementing the PASTA learning media, the percentage of completeness can also be seen. The percentage of completion in cycle I was 54%, but in cycle II it increased to 93%. Both the percentage of learning completeness and the average student score in cycle II have met the specified criteria. Keywords: Instructional Media, Statistics board, Mathematics learning outcomes

Abstract

Mobile Legends Bang Bang adalah game yang sedang marak dimainkan oleh kalangan remaja. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap Mobile Legends Bang Bang dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini mengambil data kualilitatif dengan metode survey atau kuesioner dengan jumlah pertanyaan 21, yaitu 20 pertanyaan tertutup dan 1 pertanyaan terbuka, dengan responden siswa SMA dalam lingkup Tangerang dan Jakarta Selatan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa menunjukkan persepsi positif terhadap Mobile Legends Bang Bang untuk meningkatkan kosakata Bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

The 21st century demands that educators transform conventional teaching methods into digital formats. Teaching modules provided by teachers in printed form often fail to effectively facilitate students' understanding of the material, particularly on the topic of animal locomotion organs. This study aims to develop an innovative and feasible E-Module based on Canva and Liveworksheet, tailored for fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employs the ADDIE model, comprising five stages: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and questionnaires with a rating scale. The research subjects were fifth-grade teachers and students. Media validation was conducted through assessments by subject matter experts, design experts, and learning communication media experts. Results showed that the subject matter validation achieved a score of 92% (very feasible category), design validation achieved a score of 96% (very feasible category), and media communication validation achieved 95% (very feasible category). The E-Module based on Canva and Liveworksheet is concluded to be highly suitable for teaching the topic of animal locomotion in fifth-grade elementary school.

Abstract

This study seeks to enhance students' cognitive learning outcomes in Fiqh subjects focused on Hajj through the implementation of the demonstration method. In Indonesia, the education system continues to grapple with challenges, particularly regarding teaching methods that often lack variety. This research emphasizes the effectiveness of the demonstration method in Fiqh education, especially in relation to Hajj, with the goal of fostering a deeper understanding among students. The findings indicate that this method not only boosts student engagement but also reinforces conceptual comprehension and improves overall learning outcomes. Adopting a holistic approach, the study aims to cultivate insightful, empathetic, and socially responsible individuals capable of making meaningful contributions to society. Results indicate a progressive increase in student understanding of Hajj Fiqh throughout the cycles of learning facilitated by the demonstration method

Abstract

This research was aimed to find out similarities of teaching strategies employed by native and non-native teachers of English and to see students’ attitudes toward those teaching strategies. There were 1 native teacher, 1 non-native teacher and 30 students of grade 8 of SMP Al-Zahra, Pamulang, Tangerang Selatan, participated as research respondents. This research applied qualitative method with case study research design. In gathering the data, the writers administered interview to the two teachers related to teaching strategies they used and distributed a 5-likert scale questionnaire to the students regarding their attitudes to teaching strategies used by the teachers. The data of the interview were analyzed by using thematic analysis, while the results of students’ responses to the questionnaire were analyzed through triangulation technique. The analysis data revealed that there were several similarities in teaching strategies employed by both teachers, i.e., group discussions, interactive activities, media and real-life scenarios. While the students showed ‘neutral’ attitudes toward teaching strategies applied by the teachers.
