Abstract

Abstract Kp. Bekuk, Garut is one of the areas where kawung/palm sugar is made. Based on a survey conducted among kawung/palm sugar makers, there is an inability to calculate the cost of production correctly due to the lack of ability of business actors in classifying costs. So that this community service aims to provide assistance and training to business actors who make kawung/palm sugar so that they can compile and classify these costs into production costs. This goal is achieved through seminars, and conducting training and assistance that will provide information on the importance of the benefits of determining production costs. The implementation time for this Community Service starts from June 2024 to July 2024. The location of this community service is carried out in Kp. Bekuk, Panyindangan Village, Pakenjeng District, Garut Regency. The stages of activities carried out are: (1) Preparation Stage, (2) Implementation Stage and (3) Evaluation and Monitoring Stage. Cooperation from this activity is expected that business actors can compile production costs, determine product selling prices which can ultimately increase their business income. The business opportunity for kawung/palm sugar is quite promising, this is proven by the many food products that use kawung/palm sugar as the raw material. Keywords: Cost of goods Sold; selling price; revenue. Abstrak Kp. Bekuk, Garut merupakan salah satu daerah pelaku usaha pembuat gula kawung/aren. Berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan kepada pembuat gula kawung/ aren terdapat adanya ketidakmampuan dalam menghitung harga pokok produksi secara tepat karena kurangnya kemampuan para pelaku usaha dalam penggolongan biaya. Sehingga pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan dan pelatihan pada pelaku usaha pembuat gula kawung/ aren agar dapat menyusun dan mengklasifikasi biaya tersebut menjadi biaya produksi. Tujuan tersebut dicapai dengan melalui seminar, dan melaksanakan pelatihan serta pendampingan yang akan memberikan informasi mengenai pentingnya manfaat menentukan biaya produksi. Waktu pelaksanaan PkM ini dimulai dari bulan Juni 2024. s.d Juli 2024. Adapun yang menjadi lokasi pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Kp. Bekuk Desa Panyindangan Kecamatan Pakenjeng Kabupaten Garut. Tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah: (1) Tahap Persiapan, (2) Tahap Pelaksanaan dan (3) Tahap Evaluasi dan Monitoring. Kerjasama dari kegiatan ini diharapkan pelaku usaha dapat menyusun harga pokok produksi, menentukan harga jual produk yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatan pendapatan usahanya. Peluang usaha gula kawung/aren, cukup menjanjikan hal ini terbukti banyaknya produk makanan yang menggunakan bahan baku gula kawung/aren. Kata-kata kunci: Harga pokok produksi; harga jual; pendapatan.

Abstract

Our main objective in conducting this research is to identify the relationship between MSME performance and the level of financial literacy and social media usage in Garut Regency. The purpose of this study is to help MSMEs, which in turn will help the economy, the labor market, and the field of management and economic theory. The sample for this study consists of all micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Garut Regency, which is 45 samples. The author used a questionnaire to collect information directly from the MSME players in Garut Regency. After collecting data through surveys and literature studies, the author analyzed it using multiple linear regression and the coefficient of determination. Quantitative methods were used in this study. Based on the research results, there is an influence between financial literacy and the success of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) tend to do better when their owners are financially literate and active on social media.

Abstract

This study examines the role of women in development communication for the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Garut Regency. Despite their significant contribution, women face various challenges, including limited access to capital, training, and technology. This study aims to analyze the role of women in implementing development communication to support MSME growth, identify key barriers hindering their participation, and evaluate the effectiveness of the diffusion of innovation approach in MSME training. A qualitative approach is employed, using in-depth interviews, observations, and literature reviews to collect data. The concept of development communication, particularly the participatory approach, is applied to analyze women's active roles in economic activities and decision-making. The findings indicate that effective communication and inclusive training can enhance women's empowerment in the MSME sector, although structural barriers remain. Improvements in training delivery and better access to resources are needed to support women's active participation in MSMEs.Penelitian ini mengkaji peran perempuan dalam komunikasi pembangunan untuk pengembangan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kabupaten Garut. Meskipun kontribusi mereka cukup besar, perempuan menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti keterbatasan akses terhadap modal, pelatihan, dan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran perempuan dalam penerapan komunikasi pembangunan yang mendukung pengembangan UMKM, mengidentifikasi hambatan utama yang menghambat partisipasi mereka, serta mengevaluasi efektivitas pendekatan difusi inovasi dalam pelatihan UMKM. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan metode wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi pustaka untuk mengumpulkan data. Konsep komunikasi pembangunan, khususnya pendekatan partisipatoris, diterapkan untuk menganalisis peran aktif perempuan dalam kegiatan ekonomi dan pengambilan keputusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi yang efektif dan pelatihan yang inklusif dapat meningkatkan pemberdayaan perempuan di sektor UMKM, meskipun hambatan struktural masih ada. Diperlukan perbaikan dalam penyampaian pelatihan serta akses yang lebih baik terhadap sumber daya untuk mendukung partisipasi aktif perempuan dalam UMKM.

Abstract

The increasing consumptive behavior among Generation Z shows the need for an understanding of the factors that influence financial management. This study aims to examine the effect of financial literacy and financial attitudes on financial management behavior, with hedonism lifestyle as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach through survey method, this study involved 100 participants from Generation Z workforce in Garut Regency who were selected through accidental sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS method. The results showed that financial literacy and financial attitudes have a positive effect on financial management behavior, while hedonic lifestyle has a negative effect. In addition, hedonic lifestyle mediates the relationship between financial attitudes and financial management behavior. The findings confirm the importance of implementing financial literacy education into the school curriculum and job training programs, as well as the need for socialization to regulate consumptive lifestyles in order to foster a younger generation capable of making wise financial decisions.

Abstract

Purpose: The primary aim of this program is to improve the students’ public speaking skills, enabling them to confidently deliver messages and communicate effectively in front of others. Methodology: The program was conducted in a structured manner, beginning with an intensive public speaking training session, followed by weekly mentoring over a month. The training covered voice control, body language, and message delivery strategies. The role-play-based mentoring was held in two main practice rooms, the dakwah and sholawat/qoriah rooms, providing realistic environments for students to practice. Results: The program successfully increased participants' self-confidence, as evidenced by their enhanced willingness to speak in public, deliver religious messages, and engage in social interactions. This service has proven to be effective in improving students' communication skills, which are crucial for both religious preaching (dakwah) and everyday social interactions. Conclusion: In conclusion, the structured combination of public speaking training and role-play-based mentoring is an effective approach to developing self-confidence and communication skills among Islamic boarding school students. Future improvements, such as the integration of audiovisual tools, may further strengthen the program’s outcomes. Limitations: The activity did not incorporate audio-visual media, which slightly hindered the impact of some presentation methods. Future sessions may benefit from using tools like projectors and microphones to enhance learning and practice. Contribution: This program has positively impacted the participants by enhancing their public speaking abilities, which will be beneficial for both their religious and social engagement.

Abstract

This study examines the public relations strategy employed through the Instagram account @putrikarlina14 to increase the popularity of the Syakur-Putri candidate pair in the 2024 Garut regional election. The background of the study highlights the drastic rise in electability, significantly influenced by the role of social media. A descriptive qualitative method was applied, involving interviews, observations, and content analysis. The results show that communication strategies integrating personal branding and mass communication theory successfully built emotional closeness, increased engagement, and shaped a positive public image. The use of Instagram features such as Stories and Reels proved effective in reaching young voters. The study concludes that a structured digital strategy with strong visual storytelling can foster adaptive, participatory, and impactful political communication at the local level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis bagaimana konsep benchmarking terhadap knowledge gap pada PT. Changshin Reksa Jaya untuk menghasilkan optimalisasi karyawan dalam mencapai tujuan perusahaan dan faktor apa saja yang menjadi kendala dalam penerapan benchmarking terhadap knowledge gap di PT. Changshin Reksa Jaya. Saat ini PT. Changshin reksa jaya menunjukkan belum adanya pengukuran yang jelas knowledge gap yang belum optimal dalam memaksimalkan benchmarking. Aktivitas dalam analisis data kualitatif dilakukan secara interaktif dan berlangsung secara terus menerus sampai tuntas, Adapun langkah-langkahnya adalah reduksi data dan penyajian data peneliti menetapkan sumber data meliputi 35 informan, peristiwa, lokasi, dan dokumen. Sedangkan, untuk dapat memperoleh data secara holistic dan integrative, pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tiga teknik yaitu wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian PT. Changsin sudah menerapkan brenchmarking dan penerapan knowledge management kurang lebih selama 10 tahun, namun sejauh ini PT Changsin memang belum optimal dan belum memilliki wadah dan tempat untuk berbagi pengetahuan antara satu individu dan individu lainnya, seperti fasilitas, ruang meeting untuk diskusi tatap muka adapun hambatan ataupun kendala dalam penerapan benchmarking terhadap knowledge gap yang terjadi karena kurangnya keinginan untuk berbagi, rendahnya minat baca. Dokumen administrasi (panduan) belum berjalan dengan baik, kendala penerapan benchmarking terhadap knowledge gap yang sering terjadi diantaranya kurangnya kepercayaan baik antara pegawai kepada sesama pegawai maupun antara pegawai dengan pimpinan, perbedaan budaya, bahasa, dan referensi, status dan penghargaan terhadap pemilik pengetahuan, kurangnya kapasitas menyerap dari penerima. Untuk memantau proses perkambangan knowledge gap managemen harus melakukan review dan mengirim perwakilanya untuk mengembangkan pengentahuanya untuk menjaga penerapan knowledge management tetap berjalan diberikan penanggung jawab ditiap departemen untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan nilai dari pengetahuan dan agar orang yang pensiun pengetahuannya tidak ikut pergi.

Abstract

Abstract The police is a national law enforcement agency owned by the state. In carrying out its duties, the Police, in this case the Garut Police, carry out public communication in communicating various rules, appeals, incidents and others related to the main duties and functions of the Police. Advances in communication technology require the Garut Police, in this case Public Relations, to adapt so that they can communicate interactively with the public. Instagram was chosen to be used as the main online communication channel because it has features that can support the public communication needs carried out by the Garut Police with the aim of gaining engagement and trust in the public so that it can improve the image of the institution. The aim of this research is to explain the implementation of public relations communication strategies on Instagram to improve the image of the Garut Police. This research method uses qualitative methods with the Cutlip, Center and Broom model of communication strategy theory: determining problems, planning and preparing programs, taking action and communicating and evaluating programs. Approach with descriptive studies and constructivist paradigm, data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation studies, techniques for determining informants and sources using purpose sampling by interviewing 3 informants and 2 sources. The results of the research show that the Garut Police's public relations communication strategy is in 4 stages, namely (1) determining the problem, namely organizing and coordinating with operational functions, (2) planning and preparing programs, namely creating content for the role of the police and clarifying news, complying with the publication law, (3 ) taking action and communicating, namely the police chief as a communicator, being objective and open, using common language, using Instagram, (4) evaluating the program, namely determining the concept, taking data, getting positive feedback and trust so that Instagram followers @polresgarut increased from 37.6 thousand to 96,4 RB. Keywords: Use of Instagram; Garut police public relations; public communication; institutional image. Abstrak Kepolisian merupakan lembaga penegak hukum nasional. Dalam melaksanakan tugasnya Kepolisian dalam hal ini Polres Garut melakukan komunikasi publik dalam mengkomunikasi berbagai aturan, himbauan, kejadian dan lainnya berkait dengan tugas pokok dan fungsi Kepolisian. Kemajuan teknologi komunikasi menuntut Polres Garut dalam ini Humas untuk beradaptasi sehingga dapat berkomunikasi secara interaktif dengan masyarakat. Instagram dipilih untuk dijadikan sebagai sarana komunikasi online utama karena memiliki fitur yang dapat mendukung kebutuhan komunikasi publik yang dilaksanakan Polres Garut dengan tujuan didapatnya engagment dan kepercayaan pada publik sehingga dapat meningkatkan citra lembaga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan implementasi dari strategi komunikasi publik humas Polres Garut di instagram untuk meningkatkan citra Polres Garut. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teori strategi komunikasi model Cutlip, Center dan Broom: mentukan masalah, perencanaan dan penyusunan program, melakukan tindakan dan berkomunikasi dan evaluasi program. Pendekatan dengan studi deskriptif dan paradigma konstruktivis, teknik pengumpulan data dengan pengamatan, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, teknik penentuan informan dan narasumber dengan purpose sampling mewawancarai 3 informan dan 2 narasumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi humas Polres Garut dalam 4 tahapan, yakni (1) menentukan masalah adalah menyusun pengorganisasian dan berkoordinasi dengan fungsi operasional, (2) perencanaan dan penyusunan program yakni membuat konten peran kepolisian dan berita klarifikasi, menaati UU publikasi, (3) melakukan tindakan dan berkomunikasi yakni kapolres sebagai komunikator, bersikap objektif dan terbuka, bahasa umum, menggunakan instagram, (4) evaluasi program yakni menentukan konsep, pengambilan data, mendapatkan feedback positif dan kepercayaan sehingga followers instagram @polresgarut meningkat dari 37,6RB jadi 96,4 RB. Abstract

Abstract The university, as a higher education institution, has the responsibility to develop science and technology and to form a social enlightenment in students to be able to analyze, develop opinions, and enhance critical and reflective knowledge. The primary goal is to create students who can make a positive contribution as the successor generation of the nation. Evaluation of the quality of academic services and interpersonal communication at the Faculty of Communication and Information focuses on factors such as ease, accessibility, speed, reliability, and hospitality in the attitude of service. The research focuses on the quality of academic services, student satisfaction, and their impact on the Faculty of Communication and Information. The method used in this research is a descriptive study method with a quantitative approach. Data analysis techniques in this study are using primary data and secondary data. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire with a total population of 1139 active students in the Faculty of Communication and Information. The sampling technique used was Probabilitiy Sampling with a total of 91 criteria respondents. Research results show that interpersonal communication is categorized on the criterion of "Good"Quality of Academic Services is categorized according to the percentage criterion of "Good", resulting from Student Satisfaction in the category "Well". Result determination coefficient, that is, the influence of interpersonal communication and the quality of academic service on students. Based on the correlation of the influence of interpersonal communication and the quality of academic services on students in strong categories. According to him, effective education can change student behavior. Keywords: Interpersonal communication; quality of academic service; student satisfaction; interaction. Abstrak Universitas, sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi, memiliki tanggung jawab mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi serta membentuk melek sosial pada mahasiswa agar mampu menganalisis, mengembangkan opini, dan meningkatkan pengetahuan yang kritis dan reflektif. Tujuan utamanya adalah menciptakan mahasiswa yang dapat memberikan kontribusi positif sebagai generasi penerus bangsa. Evaluasi kualitas layanan akademik dan komunikasi interpersonal di Fakultas Komunikasi dan Informasi menitikberatkan pada faktor-faktor seperti kemudahan, ketepatan, kecepatan, keandalan, dan keramahan dalam sikap pelayanan. Penelitian ini fokus pada penilaian kualitas layanan akademik, kepuasan mahasiswa, dan dampaknya di Fakultas Komunikasi dan Informasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengukur komunikasi interpersonal dan kualitas layanan akademik terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner dengan jumlah populasi 1139 mahasiswa aktif di Fakultas Komunikasi dan Informasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu Probabilitiy Sampling dengan total 91 responden kreteria tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Komunikasi Interpersonal dikategori pada kriteria “Baik”Kualitas Layanan Akadmek dikategorikan pada kriteria persentase “Baik”, hasil dari Kepuasan Mahasiswa dalam karegori “Baik”. Hasil koefisien determinasi, yaitu terdapat pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal dan kualitas layanan akademik terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan nilai korelasi pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal dan kualitas layanan akdemik terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa dalam kategori kuat. Kesimpulan bahwa layan akademik yang efektif dapat mengubah perilaku mahasiswa. Kata-kata kunci : Komunikasi interpersonal; kualitas layanan; kepuasan mahasiswa; interaksi.

Abstract

The tourism village programme was established by the government directly in order to empower village communities through tourism activities. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the variables that influence the success of the formation of cultural heritage tourism villages in the village of Cimareme, Garut Regency. The problem studied is how much influence the economic, social, cultural, environmental, political, technological, infrastructure on the success of tourism. The type of research used is exploratory quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample is the Village Government, Village Community Institutions in Cimareme Village. The main focus of research is to measure and view data from independent and dependent variables at a certain point in time. The R Square value influences together or simultaneously with culture, economy, infrastructure, environment, politics, social, and technology on the success of tourism village pioneering with Adjusted R Square 0.998 or 99.90%. The implication of the research is the development of a sustainable local economy, preservation of culture and tradition, improvement of infrastructure and accessibility, empowerment of local communities.
