Abstract

Abstrak Pemetaan sosial dipandang sebagai salah satu pendekatan dalam penanganan penyalahgunaan narkoba. Pemetaan sosial tentunya harus dilakukan secara partisipatif dan memberdayakan masyarakat. Untuk mencegah penyalahgunaan Narkoba, BNN Garut membentuk Satgas Anti Narkoba yang terdiri dari Kelompok Petani Kopi. Selain itu BNN Garut juga melakukan sosialisasi bahaya Narkoba kepada stakeholders di lingkungan Desa Cikandang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara untuk pengumpulan data agar mendapatkan data yang objektif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori partisipasi masyarakatbahwa ada tiga alasan utama bagi pentingnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam proses pembangunan telah tercapai, yaitu; pertama, partisipasi masyarakat bisa menjadi “telinga” untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang kondisi, permasalahan dan kebutuhan masyarakat. Kedua, tercapainya efektifitas dan efesiensi program atau proyek pembangunan dengan mudah, sebab dengan kontribusi dan partisipasi masyarakat bisa mengurangi beban biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk pelaksanaan pembangunan. Ketiga, secara etik-moral, partisipasi menjadi bagian dari hak demokrasi bagi masyarakat, sehingga pemerintah dapat meredam potensi resistensi dan efek sosial yang ditimbulkan dari proses pembangunan. Melalui program pembinaan dan pembentukan Satgas Anti Narkoba di daerah perkebunan Desa Cikandang Kecamatan Cikajang Kabupaten Garut, tercapai tiga alasan utama pentingnya partisipasi masyarakat, yaitu: Pertama, partisipasi masyarakat dalam Satgas Anti Narkoba bisa menjadi informan bagi BNN Kab. Garut. Kedua, Melalui partisipasi masyarakat setempat, program pencegahan penyalahgunaan narkoba di wilayah desa Cikandang bisa berjalan dengan efektif dan efisien. Ketiga, pelibatan para petani kopi serta tokoh masyarakat dapat meredam penolakan yang muncul dari sebagian kecil masyarakat. Adapun rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya keberlanjutan program, perlunya dukungan dana yang lebih besar bagi pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat melalui peternakan, serta perlunya pembinaan khusus kelompok muda yang masih rentan terhadap tindak penyalahgunaan narkoba. Third, ethically-moral, participation becomes part of democratic rights for the community, so that the government can reduce the potential for resistance and the social effects that arise from the development process. Through the formation of Satgas of the Anti-Narcotics in the plantation area of Cikandang Village, Cikajang District, Garut Regency, three main reasons for the importance of community participation were achieved: First, community participation in the Satgas Anti-Narcotics could be an informant for BNN of Garut. Second, Through the participation of the local community, the drug abuse prevention program in the Cikandang village area can run effectively and efficiently. Third, the involvement of coffee farmers and community leaders can reduce the resistance that arises from a small part of the community. The recommendations of this study are; the importance of program sustainability, the need for greater financial support for community economic empowerment through livestock, and the need for special guidance for young groups who are still vulnerable to acts of drug abuse. Abstract

Abstract- The pandemic condition has made the business world sluggish. As a sector engaged in services, tourism is also affected. This is due to the government's prohibition of opening a business that has the potential to invite large crowds due to the need for physical distancing as an effort to prevent the occurrence of covid 19 transmission. However, since the enactment of the new normal, namely the period of adaptation to new habits, the tourism sector has made improvements. As one of the areas that has good tourism potential in West Java, Garut continues to make efforts to make itself a tourist destination city that is feasible and safe to visit. Besides having sufficient tourism potential, open nature-based tourism makes Garut Regency a magnet for tourists during pandemic. This study aims to determine how the Garut regency branding strategy as a tourist destination and what are the challenges during pandemic. The researcher uses the theory of branding strategy initiated by Kotler (2009) which explains that the branding strategy has three main components, namely; brand positioning, brand personality, and brand identity. The method in this research uses qualitative methods with interview, observation, and documentation techniques in data collection efforts. Abstrak- Kondisi pandemic menjadikan dunia usaha menjadi lesu. Sebagai sector yang bergerak di bidang jasa, pariwisata juga turut terkena imbasnya. Hal tersebut karena adanya larangan pemerintah untuk membuka usaha yang berpotensi mengundang kerumunan orang banyak karena perlunya physical distancing sebagai upaya pencegahan terjadinya penularan covid 19. Namun sejak diberlakukannya new normal, yakni masa adaptasi pada kebiasaan baru, sektor pariwisata melakukan pembenahan. Sebagai salah satu daerah yang memiliki potensi wisata yang cukup baik di Jawa Barat, Garut terus melakukan upaya untuk menjadikan dirinya sebagai kota destinasi wisata yang layak dan aman untuk dikunjungi. Disamping memiliki potensi wisata yang memadai, wisata yang berbasis alam terbuka menjadikan kabupaten garut memiliki magnet tersendiri bagi para wistawan di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi branding kabupaten Garut sebagai destinasi wisata serta apa saja tantangannya di masa pandemic. Peneliti menggunakan teori strategi branding yang digagas oleh Kotler (2009) yang memaparkan bahwa strategi branding memiliki tiga komponen utama, yakni; brand positioning, brand personality, dan brand identity. Adapun metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara observasi, dan dokumentasi dalam upaya pengumpulan data.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the increasing use of TikTok social media during the covid 19 period. The use of TikTok social media is inseparable from the purpose of its users as an entertainment medium during the covid 19 pandemic, it also has specific goals such as an educational media that helps users get information about education, teaching, tips and tricks, and so on. This study aims to explain the use of TikTok social media for educational media during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research method uses descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques by interviews, observations, and literature studies that are relevant to the research discussion. Ten informants were selected based on the criteria as content creators and connoisseurs of educational content on TikTok during the pandemic of COVID-19 who came from various professions and of various ages including students, teachers, political observers, housewives, health workers, and so on. The results of the study revealed that the use of the Tiktok application was quite effective during the pandemic of Covid-19, where most community activities were carried out on a limited basis as an effort to prevent Covid-19 transmission. Besides being useful as an entertainment medium to increase immunity (mood booster) for its users, TikTok is also used as an educational medium to get information and knowledge about certain things that are the goals of its users. Some of the educational benefits include providing tutorials on learning English, procedures for completing a final project or thesis, practical tutorials using Microsoft word, cooking tutorials, make-up tutorials, complementary feeding tutorials for mothers who have just had toddlers, and knowledge about counseling. In addition to educational benefits, the use of TikTok also has a vulnerability in the spread of hoax news. So it is recommended for users to report accounts that are considered irresponsible as an effort to break up hoax information so that it does not spread more widely. Keywords: TikTok; educational media; pandemic of covid 19  AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penggunaan media social TikTok yang meningkat di masa covid 19. Penggunaan media social TikTok disamping tidak terlepas dari tujuan para penggunanya sebagai media hiburan di masa pandemic covid 19, juga memiliki tujuan spesifik seperti sebagai media edukasi yang membantu penggunanya mendapatkan informasi seputar Pendidikan, pengajaran, tips dan trik, dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pemanfaatan media social TikTok untuk media edukasi di masa pandemic covid 19.  Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif melalui teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka terkait persoalan yang relevan dengan pembahasan penelitian.  Sepuluh informan dipilih berdasarkan kriteria sebagai konten creator dan penikmat konten edukasi di TikTok selama masa pandemic covid 19 yang berasal dari berbagai profesi dan berbagai usia meliputi mahasiswa, guru, pengamat politik, ibu rumah tangga, tenaga kesehatan, dan lain sebagainya. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa pemanfaatan aplikasi Tiktok cukup efektif di masa pandemi Covid-19 yang sebagian besar aktivitas masyarakat dilakukan secara terbatas sebagai upaya pencegahan penularan Covid-19. Selain bermanfaat sebagai media hiburan untuk meningkatkan imun (mood booster) bagi para penggunanya, TikTok juga dimanfaatkan sebagai media edukasi untuk mendapatkan informasi dan pengetahuan mengenai hal-hal tertentu yang menjadi tujuan para penggunanya. Beberapa manfaat edukasi tersebut diantaranya memberikan tutorial mengenai belajar Bahasa Inggris, Tata cara penyelesaian tugas akhir atau skripsi, Tutorial praktek menggunakan Microsoft word, Tutorial Memasak, Tutorial Make Up, Tutorial MPASI bagi Ibu-ibu yang baru memiliki balita, dan pengetahuan mengenai konseling. Selain manfaat edukasi, penggunaan TikTok juga memiliki kerentanan dalam penyebaran berita hoax. Maka disarankan bagi pengguna untuk mereport akun yang dianggap tidak bertanggunjawab tersebut sebagai upaya memutus informasi hoax agar tidak tersebar lebih luas. Kata-kata kunci: TikTok; media edukasi;pPandemi covid 19

Abstract

This research is motivated by the achievements of PT Go-Jek in marketing Go-Food services in the past two years. The achievements are allegedly caused by the implementation of the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) strategy through the activities of advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, marketing sponsorship, public relations, and point of purchase communication. These activities involve the use of marketing tools, which include digital tools, tool components, and digital access, as well as aspects of the company's human resources effectively. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the steps of the Integrated Marketing Communication strategy of PT Go-Jek in the Go-Food service in Garut. The results of the study concluded, that: 1) PT Go-Jek's Human Resources are sufficiently adequate in terms of competence to properly implement all aspects of the IMC; understanding of the use of digital devices (digital tools) is quite good; understanding the use of tool components is good; understanding the use of digital access is also quite good; 2) Advertising material or messages of Go-Food services by PT Go-Jek are good, both through online and offline media; 3) The concept of direct offers through personal selling on Go-Food services by PT Go-Jek is good, both through online and offline media; 4) Direct incentives/bonuses through sales promotion by PT Go-Jek have been implemented well in attracting consumers; 5) Through marketing sponsorship in Go-Food services, PT Go-Jek's sponsor activities in an event are quite good; 6) Activities to establish relationships and social communication through public relations, such as updating the appearance of the Go-Jek application are quite well implemented; and 7) The use of several advertising tools and media, both in the PT Go-Jek office and in public places through point of purchase communication, is also carried out quite well. Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of competition between universities in attracting students' interest has begun to get tougher. This is coupled with private universities in Indonesia which are currently increasingly advanced and developing so that with these conditions, higher education institutions that have just been established and are not yet well known in the community feel the great impact of competition in attracting students. This will motivate every university in Indonesia to make more efforts to improve the quality and quality of the institution through the various advantages they have. The purpose of this study is to explain the brand communication strategy of FKOMINFO Garut University, seen from the four stages used, namely understanding the message, compiling persuasive messages, selecting methods and selecting media. The method used in this study uses a qualitative approach using the theory of Communication Strategy in which there are 4 aspects studied, namely understanding the message, compiling persuasive messages, choosing methods and choosing media. Data analysis techniques from this research are data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. Data collection techniques used are participant observation, in-depth interviews, literature study and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the communication strategy used by FKOMINFO Garut University in the aspect of understanding the message is to form a team that has been provided with information and tasks that must be carried out. Then in the aspect of compiling persuasive messages, it contains relevant information for prospective new students. Furthermore, in the aspect of method selection, namely by applying interactive and persuasive ways in delivering messages when the activity takes place. Finally, in the aspect of media selection by using various media, both conventional media and utilizing new media.

Abstract

Keterampilan berbahasa Inggris dalam dunia pariwisata adalah suatu keharusan yang harus dimiliki oleh segenap sumber daya manusia di dalamnya. Saat ini, masih banyak dari kalangan pengelola wisata maupun para pelaku usaha di suatu destinasi wisata yang masih mengalami kendala komunikasi manakala ada pengunjung asing yang datang ke sana. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan keterampilan berbahasa Inggris praktis kepariwisataan bagi 20 pembelajar yang berasal dari unsur pengelola dan unsur pelaku usaha. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan komunikatif atau communicative language teaching yang mendorong pembelajar supaya berlatih mempraktikan dialog atau percakapan sesuai dengan topik dan konteks kepariwisataan yang diberikan. Hasil atau output kegiatan pengabdian ini bisa terlihat dari aspek peningkatan vocabulary (pemerolehan kosakata), kualitas pronunciation (pelafalan) dan kepercayaan diri untuk menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Dengan adanya peningkatan dari aspek pengetahuan dan kemampuan berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris, ke depannya diharapkan para pengelola wisata dan pelaku usaha di lingkungan Destinasi Wisata Cangkuang Kabupaten Garut bisa menjadi komponen yang penting dalam memfasilitasi segala kebutuhan pengunjung khususnya wisatawan mancanegara demi tewujudnya destinasi wisata bertaraf internasional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi Pembentukan fenomena baru mengenai casual relationship dan hubungan interpersonal para muda mudi di  Kota Bandung  untuk  melakukan  interaksi  dengan  lawan  jenis  dengan  kesepakatan  menjalani  casual relationship. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan motif, pengalaman, dan makna dalam Casual Relationship yang dijalankan oleh remaja di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa remaja memiliki motif dan tujuan yang beragam dalam menjalani hubungan kasual, tergantung pada alasan masing-masing remaja di Kota Bandung. Pengalaman remaja dalam aktivitas casual relationship dapat digolongkan menjadi dua, yaitu pengalaman positif dan negatif. Para informan memberikan pemaknaan yang berbeda terkait casual relationship sesuai dengan pandangan masing-masing.

Abstract

Abstract The university, as a higher education institution, has the responsibility to develop science and technology and to form a social enlightenment in students to be able to analyze, develop opinions, and enhance critical and reflective knowledge. The primary goal is to create students who can make a positive contribution as the successor generation of the nation. Evaluation of the quality of academic services and interpersonal communication at the Faculty of Communication and Information focuses on factors such as ease, accessibility, speed, reliability, and hospitality in the attitude of service. The research focuses on the quality of academic services, student satisfaction, and their impact on the Faculty of Communication and Information. The method used in this research is a descriptive study method with a quantitative approach. Data analysis techniques in this study are using primary data and secondary data. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire with a total population of 1139 active students in the Faculty of Communication and Information. The sampling technique used was Probabilitiy Sampling with a total of 91 criteria respondents. Research results show that interpersonal communication is categorized on the criterion of "Good"Quality of Academic Services is categorized according to the percentage criterion of "Good", resulting from Student Satisfaction in the category "Well". Result determination coefficient, that is, the influence of interpersonal communication and the quality of academic service on students. Based on the correlation of the influence of interpersonal communication and the quality of academic services on students in strong categories. According to him, effective education can change student behavior. Keywords: Interpersonal communication; quality of academic service; student satisfaction; interaction. Abstrak Universitas, sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi, memiliki tanggung jawab mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi serta membentuk melek sosial pada mahasiswa agar mampu menganalisis, mengembangkan opini, dan meningkatkan pengetahuan yang kritis dan reflektif. Tujuan utamanya adalah menciptakan mahasiswa yang dapat memberikan kontribusi positif sebagai generasi penerus bangsa. Evaluasi kualitas layanan akademik dan komunikasi interpersonal di Fakultas Komunikasi dan Informasi menitikberatkan pada faktor-faktor seperti kemudahan, ketepatan, kecepatan, keandalan, dan keramahan dalam sikap pelayanan. Penelitian ini fokus pada penilaian kualitas layanan akademik, kepuasan mahasiswa, dan dampaknya di Fakultas Komunikasi dan Informasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengukur komunikasi interpersonal dan kualitas layanan akademik terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner dengan jumlah populasi 1139 mahasiswa aktif di Fakultas Komunikasi dan Informasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu Probabilitiy Sampling dengan total 91 responden kreteria tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Komunikasi Interpersonal dikategori pada kriteria “Baik”Kualitas Layanan Akadmek dikategorikan pada kriteria persentase “Baik”, hasil dari Kepuasan Mahasiswa dalam karegori “Baik”. Hasil koefisien determinasi, yaitu terdapat pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal dan kualitas layanan akademik terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan nilai korelasi pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal dan kualitas layanan akdemik terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa dalam kategori kuat. Kesimpulan bahwa layan akademik yang efektif dapat mengubah perilaku mahasiswa. Kata-kata kunci : Komunikasi interpersonal; kualitas layanan; kepuasan mahasiswa; interaksi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rise of people who play online games, one of which is the online game Counter-Strike 2, which is favored by the world community. Playing Counter-Strike 2 online games can be used as a medium of learning English because, in Counter-Strike 2 online games, you can communicate with the international community using English. People can improve their English language skills through the experience they get when communicating virtually with the global community by playing Counter-Strike 2 online games. The purpose of this study is for people to take advantage of Counter-Strike 2 online games, not just entertainment media so that they can use them to communicate virtually with the international public as a medium of learning and honing skills in English. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used by researchers are interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results of this study show that playing the online game Counter-Strike 2 can be used as a medium of learning English. This is due to the player's habit of communicating with each player using the international language, namely English, when the game starts. Learning English through Counter-Strike 2 online games can add new knowledge that does not exist in formal education or books. Namely, we can learn new terms in English, known as slang. If you are used to communicating with the international public, it can increase your confidence in using English.
