Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya kasus penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan remaja. Untuk mencegah semakin meningkatnya angka prevalansi penyalahgunaan Narkoba pada generasi muda, BNN Garut melakukan rangkaian sosialisasi gerakan anti narkoba dengan menyelenggarakan Garut Colour Run. Bertemakan “warnai hidup tanpa narkoba”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan bahaya penyalahgunaan narkoba dan menyelamatkan generasi muda dari bahaya narkoba. Teori yang dipergunakan dalam studi ini adalah referensi yang berkaitan dengan efektivitas komunikasi, sinergitas atau koordinasi antar instansi dalam edukasi dan sosialisasi tentang penyalahgunaan narkoba. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara dan studi dokumentasi melalui data sekunder. Analisis data dilakukan secara verbalistik dengan tahap reduksi data, dan penyajian data agar mendapatkan data yang objektif. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kegiatan Garut Colour Run dinyatakan efektif sebagai rangkaian sosialisasi dan penyelematan generasi muda dari bahaya penyalahgunaan narkoba karena mampu menghadirkan antusiasme untuk melakukan hal yang positif. Sinergitas atau kerjasama dengan beberapa elemen masyarakat juga menjadi salah satu kunci dari keberhasilan BNN dalam menggalang kerjasama untuk sama-sama melakukan pencegahan penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan masyarakat. Kata-kata kunci: Efektivitas Komunikasi; Penyalahgunaan; Narkoba; Generasi Muda Abstract This research is motivated by the high cases of drug abuse among adolescents. To prevent the increasing prevalence of drug abuse in the younger generation, BNN Garut conducted a series of socialization of the anti-drug movement by organizing the Garut Color Run. The theme is "color life without drugs". This study aims to socialize the dangers of drug abuse and save the younger generation from the dangers of drugs. The theory used in this study is a reference related to the effectiveness of communication, synergy or coordination between agencies in education and socialization about drug abuse. This study uses a qualitative approach using observation and interview techniques and documentation studies through secondary data. Data analysis was carried out verbally with the data reduction stage, and data presentation in order to obtain objective data. The results of this study concluded that the Garut Color Run activity was declared effective as a series of socialization and saving the younger generation from the dangers of drug abuse because it was able to bring enthusiasm to do positive things. Synergy or collaboration with several elements of society is also one of the keys to BNN's success in garnering cooperation to jointly prevent drug abuse in the community. Abstract

The tourists invasion to the sanctuary of the Islam spreaders, it is the social dynamics to strenghten faith. West Java is one of the provinces that has the potential for religious tourism which is much loved by the Indonesian people. This attracts researchers to examine more deeply the relationship between religious tourism and people's economic opportunities. This study aims to describe and analyze the influence of religious tourism on the people's economic opportunities. Religious tourism in West Java are mostly visited. In this situation, people’s economic opportunities can be captured by the local people, such as the souvenirs and flowers sellers. This research uses a quantitative approach to find out how significant the influence of Religious Tourism on the people's economic opportunities is and analyze it through the sociology of religion. The population in this study are people who work as traders who sell at the research location; with a sample of 59 people obtained through simple random cluster sampling. Based on the results of the analysis that there is a influence of religious tourism on the community economic opportunities, which is equal to 32.15%. Meanwhile, 67, 85% were influenced by other factors not examined in this study. From the effectiveness of religious sociology, and Parson's theory as a social system, which is explored through analysis of Adaptation, Goal Attainment, integration and Latent Pattern Maintenance is very relevant. seizing people's economic opportunities by adapting tourism elements, as well as trying to carry out cultural and religious attractions, such as solemn and silent prayer rituals, in accordance with tourist expectations. This pilgrimage tourism activity can integrate with tourist destinations and can carry out the maintenance of local cultural patterns. However, to increase the potential for pilgrimage tourism, it is still necessary to maintain a better environment and order.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the openness of public information as outlined in Law no. 14 of 2008 has not been fully implemented by Diskominfo Garut Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication made by Diskominfo, the existence of human resources on duty and the attitude of officers in disseminating public information and to know the bureaucratic structure designed by Diskominfo Garut Regency in disseminating public information. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out by in-depth interviews, observations, literature studies and documentation. Researchers took 10 informants. The results of the study indicate that there has been good communication between the regional organizational units in Garut Regency and Diskominfo. There is still a lack of human resources and work facilities, officers have acted responsibly by complying with regulations related to public information disclosure, and there is already a bureaucratic structure and SOP in disseminating public information.

Abstract

Human development in the field of education is very important because it relates to the quality of human life in other fields, one of which is on the social aspects, especially those related to children. The condition that occurs in children today is the high use and negative exposure of mass media, especially from the use of television and the internet. The high use of this media is not accompanied by adequate skills in children regarding access and ability to analyze the content of media messages so that negative impacts of use appear, including social conflicts between children in their environment. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the ability to access, analyze, evaluate and communicate messages in various forms of communication and information media for the prevention of social conflict in children. The method of carrying out activities using lecture, demonstration, and discussion methods. The subject of the activity is elementary school age children in Panembong Village, Bayongbong District, Garut Regency. The implementation process is carried out with the assessment stage, the implementation stage, and the assessment stage as well as the evaluation stage. The results of this activity illustrate the existence of better knowledge and understanding of elementary school age children in accessing, analyzing, evaluating and communicating messages in various forms of communication and information media, especially to prevent social conflict between peers.

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the increasing use of TikTok social media during the covid 19 period. The use of TikTok social media is inseparable from the purpose of its users as an entertainment medium during the covid 19 pandemic, it also has specific goals such as an educational media that helps users get information about education, teaching, tips and tricks, and so on. This study aims to explain the use of TikTok social media for educational media during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research method uses descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques by interviews, observations, and literature studies that are relevant to the research discussion. Ten informants were selected based on the criteria as content creators and connoisseurs of educational content on TikTok during the pandemic of COVID-19 who came from various professions and of various ages including students, teachers, political observers, housewives, health workers, and so on. The results of the study revealed that the use of the Tiktok application was quite effective during the pandemic of Covid-19, where most community activities were carried out on a limited basis as an effort to prevent Covid-19 transmission. Besides being useful as an entertainment medium to increase immunity (mood booster) for its users, TikTok is also used as an educational medium to get information and knowledge about certain things that are the goals of its users. Some of the educational benefits include providing tutorials on learning English, procedures for completing a final project or thesis, practical tutorials using Microsoft word, cooking tutorials, make-up tutorials, complementary feeding tutorials for mothers who have just had toddlers, and knowledge about counseling. In addition to educational benefits, the use of TikTok also has a vulnerability in the spread of hoax news. So it is recommended for users to report accounts that are considered irresponsible as an effort to break up hoax information so that it does not spread more widely. Penggunaan media social TikTok disamping tidak terlepas dari tujuan para penggunanya sebagai media hiburan di masa pandemic covid 19, juga memiliki tujuan spesifik seperti sebagai media edukasi yang membantu penggunanya mendapatkan informasi seputar Pendidikan, pengajaran, tips dan trik, dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pemanfaatan media social TikTok untuk media edukasi di masa pandemic covid 19.  Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif melalui teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka terkait persoalan yang relevan dengan pembahasan penelitian.  Sepuluh informan dipilih berdasarkan kriteria sebagai konten creator dan penikmat konten edukasi di TikTok selama masa pandemic covid 19 yang berasal dari berbagai profesi dan berbagai usia meliputi mahasiswa, guru, pengamat politik, ibu rumah tangga, tenaga kesehatan, dan lain sebagainya. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa pemanfaatan aplikasi Tiktok cukup efektif di masa pandemi Covid-19 yang sebagian besar aktivitas masyarakat dilakukan secara terbatas sebagai upaya pencegahan penularan Covid-19. Selain bermanfaat sebagai media hiburan untuk meningkatkan imun (mood booster) bagi para penggunanya, TikTok juga dimanfaatkan sebagai media edukasi untuk mendapatkan informasi dan pengetahuan mengenai hal-hal tertentu yang menjadi tujuan para penggunanya. Beberapa manfaat edukasi tersebut diantaranya memberikan tutorial mengenai belajar Bahasa Inggris, Tata cara penyelesaian tugas akhir atau skripsi, Tutorial praktek menggunakan Microsoft word, Tutorial Memasak, Tutorial Make Up, Tutorial MPASI bagi Ibu-ibu yang baru memiliki balita, dan pengetahuan mengenai konseling. Selain manfaat edukasi, penggunaan TikTok juga memiliki kerentanan dalam penyebaran berita hoax. Maka disarankan bagi pengguna untuk mereport akun yang dianggap tidak bertanggunjawab tersebut sebagai upaya memutus informasi hoax agar tidak tersebar lebih luas. Kata-kata kunci: TikTok; media edukasi;pPandemi covid 19

Abstract

This study aims to identify and interpret the factors that encourage audiences to access the Sing! Karaoke by Smule. This research method is qualitative with an interpretative approach. This research was carried out during January 2022 with data collection techniques through interview techniques, literature searches, and interpretation of the data. Interviews were conducted with nine users of the Smule application using several methods, including face-to-face (with health protocols), Video Call, and WhatsApp Chat. The results show that the number of people who access the Smule application cannot be separated from the needs that underlie the users to use it. This is in line with what was stated by Katz, Gurevitch and Haas regarding human needs related to the use of media, namely the existence of cognitive needs, affective needs, personal integrative needs, social integrative needs and the need for escape or tension release.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan motif, pengalaman dan makna penggunaan media sosial TikTok sebagai eksistensi diri mahasiswa Kabupaten Garut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan Fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, serta studi kepustakaan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa motif penggunaan media sosial TikTok bagi mahasiswa itu terdapat motif ‘Karena’ dan motif ‘Untuk’. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan Motif ‘Karena’ mahasiswa menggunakan TikTok ialah 1) Pengguna media sosial TikTok sangat banyak; 2) Fitur-fitur yang ada di TikTok sangat menarik; 3) Adanya peluang untuk mendapatkan penghasilan. Motif ‘Untuk’ terdiri dari 1)Untuk mengekspresikan diri; 2)Untuk mengisi waktu luang; 3)Untuk memanfaatkan aplikasi untuk sarana menadapatkan penghasilan. Adapun pengalaman yang didapatkan mahasiswa pengguna TikTok di kabupaten Garut baik itu pengalaman positif dan juga negative, serta Makna Penggunaan Media Sosial TikTok Sebagai Eksistensi Diri oleh mahasiswa di Kabupaten Garut ialah 1) Sebagai media yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhandiri; 2)Mendapatkan followers dan likes agar lebih dapat dikenal; 3) Sebagai media yang dapat memberikan dampak positif.MOTIF PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL TIKTOK BAGI MAHASISWA DI KABUPATEN GARUT

Abstract

Abstract Indonesia, a country rich in natural resources, perceives tourism as a major driver of its economy. This study focuses on the dynamic landscape of Indonesian tourism, particularly the shift towards alternative forms, notably village tourism. Sukalaksana Village in Garut Regency, West Java, stands out for the success of its Saung Ciburial Tourism Village managed by the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). Capitalizing on its natural and cultural assets, the village has made a positive impact on the local economy. To sustain and enhance this success, Universitas Garut initiated a Digital Marketing Training program for the managers of Saung Ciburial Tourism Village. This capacity-building initiative covers social media usage, digital content creation, and online marketing strategies to increase tourism awareness and empower the local community. The methodology involves initial observations, needs identification, material preparation, a workshop, field practices, direct discussions, and reflective evaluation. Participant feedback indicates a significant improvement in digital marketing understanding and increased confidence in managing the village's digital presence. In conclusion, the training positively impacts the knowledge and skills of village tourism managers. To extend this impact, the study recommends expanding similar training to other villages, tailoring modules to specific contexts, and involving external experts for practical insights, ensuring sustained success for Saung Ciburial Tourism Village and similar communities. Keywords: Tourism development; village empowerment; digital marketing; community engagement; sustainable local economy.  Abstrak Indonesia, negara yang kaya akan sumber daya alam, memandang pariwisata sebagai penggerak perekonomian utama. Studi ini berfokus pada lanskap pariwisata Indonesia yang terus berkembang, dengan menekankan pergeseran ke arah bentukbentuk alternatif, khususnya wisata desa. Desa Sukalaksana di Kabupaten Garut, Jawa Barat, menonjol karena keberhasilan Desa Wisata Saung Ciburial yang dikelola Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes). Dengan memanfaatkan aset alam dan budaya yang dimilikinya, desa ini telah memberikan dampak positif terhadap perekonomian lokal. Untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan keberhasilan tersebut, Universitas Garut menginisiasi program Pelatihan Digital Marketing bagi para pengelola Desa Wisata Saung Ciburial. Inisiatif peningkatan kapasitas ini mencakup penggunaan media sosial, pembuatan konten digital, dan strategi pemasaran online, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran pariwisata dan memberdayakan komunitas lokal. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi awal, identifikasi kebutuhan, penyiapan materi, kegiatan pelatihan, praktik lapangan, diskusi langsung, dan evaluasi reflektif. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman pemasaran digital dan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam mengelola kehadiran digital desa.Kesimpulannya, pelatihan berpengaruh positif terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengelola wisata desa. Untuk memperluas dampak ini, studi ini merekomendasikan perluasan pelatihan serupa ke desa-desa lain, menyesuaikan modul dengan konteks tertentu, dan melibatkan pakar eksternal untuk mendapatkan wawasan praktis, sehingga memastikan keberhasilan berkelanjutan bagi Desa Wisata Saung Ciburial dan komunitas serupa. Abstract

Pre-marital guidance plays a pivotal role as the initial gateway to fostering a harmonious marriage characterized by tranquility, affection, and compassion, thereby strategically contributing to the reduction of divorce rates. This research aims to elucidate the Communication Strategies of Islamic Community Guidance of Garut Regency in Pre-marital Counseling for Couples, focusing on understanding the audience, composing messages, determining methods, and selecting media. The research utilized a descriptive qualitative approach, incorporating data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, literature review, and documentation. Anwar Arifin's Communication Strategy Theory was applied for data analysis. The findings unveiled a four-phase communication strategy employed by the Bimbingan Masyarakat Islam of Garut Regency: 1) audience understanding through observing community habits, profiling prospective couples, and identifying characteristics; 2) message crafting covering attention, delineating materials for fostering a harmonious family, and generating interest through interactive activities; 3) adopting an informative approach for material delivery while incorporating diverse methods tailored to participants' needs; 4) adapting media choices based on local situations and community conditions, leveraging widely favored social media platforms.
