Abstract

Eradicating rice pests in South Kualuh is difficult to do optimally, because most farmers do not understand the types of pests that attack their rice plants. The objective of this study was to obtain information about the type of pest insects in rice plants and to find out the diversity index of insect pests in rice plants. This research was conducted using trap method and collection of insects was done using a insect net. Observation data was analised using Shanon Wiener (H) diversity / diversity index. The result showed 13 types of pest insects which belongs to 10 families. That is Tettigonia sp.(Linnaeus, 1758), Sogatella furcifera (Horváth, 1899), Nephotettix virescens (Distant, 1908), Cofana spectra (Distant, 1908), Atractomorpha crenulata (Fabricius, 1793), Erotides sp.(Laporte, 1836), Leptocorisa acuta (Thunberg, 1783), Aulacophora indica (Gmelin, 1790), Chrysochus cobaltinus (LeConte, 1857), Silba capsicarum (McAlpine, 1956), Hercostomus germanus (Wiedemann, 1817), Cnaphalocrosis medinalis (Guenée, 1854), Scirpophaga incertulas (Walker, 1863). The diversity index of rice pest insects was categorized as moderate with a value of 2,35 and a dominance index of 0,108. This value indicates that the distribution of species is evenly distributed so that no insect species dominates in the area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran biologi pada masa pandemi covid-19 serta bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran biologi pada masa pandemi covid-19di SMAN 6 Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan berupa pengumpulan data, reduksi data serta verifikasi dan penegasan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada masa pandemi covid-19 pembelajaran biologi di SMAN 6 Medan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Project Based Learning (PjBL). Adapun model pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru biologi di SMAN 6 Medan pada masa pandemi covid-19 tetap dilaksanakan dengan cukup baik.

Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media in the form of a virtual laboratory for practicum observing protists and to find out how to develop procedures, their practicality and their effectiveness. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research with a 4 D research design, namely: define, design, develop, and disseminate,/1 however this research was only carried out to the develop stage due to researcher limitations. The subjects in the research were 30 class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan. The research instruments used are validation sheets from media experts and material experts to measure the validity of the virtual laboratory, response sheets from field practitioners (Teachers) and students to measure the practicality of the virtual Laboratory. The research results show that the virtual laboratory has an appropriate category based on the percentage of validity by media expert validators of 80.33%, material expert validators of 98.66%. The virtual laboratory was declared very feasible based on the percentage obtained from student responses in phase I product trials of 92.71%, phase II product trials of 86.58%, and the percentage based on teacher responses was 100%. Recommendations for future researchers and teachers to develop a three-dimensional virtual laboratory to provide a more real experience for students when simulating a practicum.

Abstract

Making products in the form of learning modules is the development of the Wahdatul Ulum Paradigm-Based Ecosystem Module. The resulting modules are used as instructional content. This author developed a product in the form of a wahdatul ulum-based module which was carried out at the MAS Al-Wasliyah Percut school with ecosystem material for class X SMA/MA students because modules detailed with the wahdatul ulum paradigm concept are generally not available in biology textbooks. The layout plan contained in this module is expected to be able to encourage students, be cool and be interested in understanding the use of the module because it displays lots of interesting pictures. This increase in exploration takes advantage of the progress of Research and Development (Innovative Work) with the 4D plan which has four phases, namely Characterize, Plan, Advancement, and Spread. Based on the assessment results from experts and also students, it is known that the development of environmental modules is very possible to be used as teaching materials. Media experts scored 87.50 percent, material experts scored 92.30 percent, and religion experts scored 85.41 percent in their due diligence assessment. Ecosystem modules based on the wahdatul ulum paradigm for class X SMA/MA students deserve to be used as additional teaching materials for the learning process, according to the assessment results, namely 91.66% for Biology teachers and 90.88% for students.

Abstract

This research investigates the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on students' creative thinking during the digestive system learning at SMAS Brigjend Katamso II. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was all XI students at SMAS Brigjend Katamso II, which consisted of 4 classes with a total of 135 students. The research sample using the Cluster Random Sampling technique consisted of two classes: Science 2 with 34 students as the experimental class and Science 3 with 34 students as the control class. The research instrument used was a description test consisting of 4 questions to measure students' creative thinking abilities. This research hypothesis was carried out using the T-test with normal and homogeneous conditions. The results of the post-test analysis of the T test obtained tcount 4.34 and ttable 1.69, thus showing the hypothesis test results that tcount > ttable where Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. So, there is the influence of the project based learning model on the ability to think creatively about the digestive system material for class XI SMA/MA students.

Abstract

This examination aims to determine the validity, reasonableness and appropriateness of critical thinking prepared by students' worksheets regarding the human excretory framework material for class XI senior high schools in educational experiences. This exam uses Innovative work (RnD) research techniques with a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination). which is adjusted to 3D (Define, Design, and Development). Exploratory instruments use consent forms, surveys and critical thinking skills tests. The consequences of this exploration show that the critical thinking-based student worksheet that has been created is valid and suitable to be applied with a level of 83.3% (material experts) with the "Very Substantial" rule and 81.9% (media experts) with the "Very Substantial" rule. Very large". The student worksheet was also declared suitable based on the poll of educators and students obtained, namely 93% with the "Very Great" model and 87% (students) with the "Very Valid" standard. The students' worksheet was also declared suitable based on the N-Gainscore results of 0.61 with the "Compelling" model. Looking at the results of the exploration, the critical thinking students' worksheets on the human excretory framework material for class in use. The student worksheets created can expand student learning practice and educators can involve student worksheets as display material in educational experiences.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of learning using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by the Powtoon application on the learning outcomes of Class XI Madrasah Aliyah at the Islamic Education Park (TPI) Sawit Seberang. This research is a type of quantitative research with a Quasy Experimental Design. The research population was 36 students in class XI MIA A and 36 students in class XI MIA B, 36 students in class XI MIA C and 36 students in class, and X MIA C totaling 36 people as the control class. The instrument in this research is in the form of a test in the form of 30 multiple choice questions. Data analysis of student learning outcomes using the t-test formula, also with the help of SPSS version 25 data processing. Data analysis of student learning outcomes with the results of calculating the average learning outcomes shows that the experimental class which uses the Problem Based Learning models is higher than the control class. The prerequisite test is proven that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the test calculation were obtained under count worth 9.709 and table worth 1.668 so that it shows tcount > table so Ha2 is accepted. The conclusions in this research explain that there are influences and differences before and after the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model on student learning outcomes in class XI Madrasah Aliyah at the Islamic Education Park (TPI) Sawit Seberang.
