Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial flexibility, managerial ownership, and firm size on firm value with capital structure as an intervening variable for infrastructure, utility, and transportation companies. This research was a quantitative study. The data used were secondary data in the form financial statements of infrastructure, utility and transportation companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2015-2019. The sample used was a purposive sampling technique consisting of 30 companies infrastructure, utility and transportation. The data were analyzed using path analysis supported by SmartPLS 3.3 software. The results show that financial flexibility has no significant negative effect on the capital structure; managerial ownership has a significant negative effect on the capital structure; firm size has a significant positive effect on the capital structure; financial flexibility has a significant negative effect on firm value; managerial ownership has no significant positive effect on firm value; firm size has no significant positive effect on firm value; capital structure has a significant positive effect on firm value; financial flexibility had no significant effect on firm value through capital structure; managerial ownership has a significant effect on firm value through capital structure; firm size has a significant effect on firm value through capital structure.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif guna memperoleh gambaran tentang sistem kepemimpinan tradisonal masyarakat suku Tolaki; makna simbolik, peran dan fungsi kalo sara; dan gambaran kalo sara sebagai alat komunikasi sosial dalam sistem kepemimpinan tradisonal masyarakat suku Tolaki di Kabupaten Konawe. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemimpin menurut masyarakat suku Tolaki dibaratkan sebagai gunung batu besar yang kuat, pohon beringin besar yang kokoh yang mampu memberi solusi atas berbagai masalah dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat dengan berpedoman pada kalo sara. Dasar hukum kepemimpinan mereka adalah berdasarkan hukum adat silsilah yang disebut “londara” atau “kukua” dimana pemimpin ditentukan berdasarkan latar belakang asal-usul keturunannya. Tipe-tipe kepemimpinan mereka memiliki ciri-ciri kesamaan dengan tipe-tipe kepemimpinan moderen yang sasarannya kepada orang-orang atau masyarakat yang dipimpin agar mau bekerja sama dalam mencapai tujuan bersama. Dalam menjalankan tugas dan kewajibannya, pemimpin harus senantiasa berpedoman pada kalo sara yang sejak dulu telah menjadi simbol kebesaran dan sebagai alat komunikasi sosial diantara mereka dalam menjalani hidup bermasyarakat dan berpemerintahan. Abstract

Almost all human statements either intended for his own interests or for the benefit of others are expressed in symbolic form. The relationship between the parties involved in the communication process is largely determined by the symbols or symbols used in communicating. Symbols can be expressed in the form of spoken or written language (verbal) or through certain cues (non verbal). Symbols carry a statement and are given meaning by the recipient; because it gives meaning to the symbol used in communicating is not an easy thing, but a problem that is quite complicated. The process of giving meaning to the symbols used in communicating, in addition, influenced by cultural factors, as well as psychological factors, especially when the message is decoded by the recipient. A message delivered with the same symbol may differ in meaning when the individual receiving the message differs within the frame of mind and experience frame. Lulo as a traditional dance has a big meaning and portrays the unity of Tolaki community in diversity by leaving a barrier that distinguishes social status as well as being a means of finding a mate. The tradition of lulo shows the nature of friendship and mutual cooperation that is characteristic of the Tolaki community. Keywords: meaning, communication, cultural symbol, lulo dance

Abstract

The goal of this study was to discover the information-seeking behaviour of coastal communities in Southeast Sulawesi, which has the second highest marine catch (fish) income in Indonesia, despite the fact that the majority of its territory is made up of oceans, but the people's income is still low and less prosperous, as evidenced by the export value of marine catches still falling under East Java, Jakarta, and South Sulawesi. The data for this study were collected from 105 respondents who used a quantitative technique to fill out a list of information seeking behaviour, while 10 respondents used a qualitative approach, namely in-depth interviews about the hurdles experienced when seeking information. According to the findings of this study, the information seeking behaviour of coastal populations in Southeast Sulawesi is still manual, that is, they still use experiences and feelings by 45.8% of the time, and the barriers they confront in obtaining information are related to technology by 29.1% of the time. The outcomes of the study are directly related to the income obtained by the coastal villages of Southeast Sulawesi, which is still poor and less prosperous

Abstract

One way to increase wealth and protect it from possible inflation is to invest, and this is very important for people to achieve a decent life (financial freedom), especially in meeting their needs in retirement. In general, Indonesians who have guaranteed pension funds are those who work as civil servants, police and military. But in fact, especially in Sompe village, most people are farmers and entrepreneurs, 36 per cent of the 4,210 population. With this in mind, it is necessary to provide advice that educates the community to increase their awareness of investment interest. In Indonesia, investment interest is still dominated by young people.

Abstract

The financial literacy level among rural communities remains relatively low, leading to poor financial management and decision-making. This community service activity aimed to enhance the understanding and skills of residents in Lampulung Village, Pammana Subdistrict, Wajo Regency, in managing personal and household finances through an educational workshop. The implementation methods included material presentation, interactive discussions, financial management simulations, and evaluations using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ awareness and knowledge regarding financial planning, cash flow recording, debt management, saving, and basic investment strategies. This workshop proved to be effective in increasing financial literacy and is expected to encourage wiser and more independent financial behavior within households.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product innovation and company reputation on consumer interest in using Darmawan Tour and Umrah and Hajj Travel services in Wajo Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires to 76 respondents who had used or were interested in Darmawan Tour services, and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 26 software. The results show that both product innovation and company reputation have a positive and significant effect on consumer interest, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 53.8% indicates that innovation and reputation together are able to explain the variable of consumer interest by 53.8%, while the remainder is influenced by other variables outside the study. These findings indicate that the combination of innovative services and a good reputation is very important in determining consumer decisions in choosing Umrah and Hajj travel services. This study provides practical implications for Darmawan Tour management to continue to innovate services and maintain and improve the company's reputation in order to maintain and increase consumer loyalty.

Abstract

MSMEs are a crucial pillar of the village economy, including in Rumpia Village, Majauleng District, Wajo Regency. However, limited digital technology utilization leads to suboptimal product promotion and marketing. This community service activity aims to provide outreach and mentoring for MSMEs in the use of digital platforms such as Google Business, WhatsApp Business, Instagram, and Facebook. The implementation method was door-to-door to be more effective in directly reaching business owners and providing guidance tailored to the needs of each MSME. Pre- and post-tests were conducted (before and after the outreach) to determine the extent of understanding of the use of digital tools in their businesses. The results of the activity showed an increase in MSMEs' understanding and skills in using digital platforms as a marketing tool. This success marks the first step in the digitalization of MSMEs in the village.

Abstract

Satisfaction is achieved when quality meets and exceeds customer expectations, desires and needs. On the other hand, if quality does not meet and exceed customer expectations, desires and needs, satisfaction will not be achieved. Patient satisfaction will influence patient loyalty to use the services of Puangrimaggalatung Hospital, Wajo district. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of service quality and satisfaction on patient loyalty at Puangrimaggalatung Sengkang Hospital, Wajo Regency. This research method is quantitative observational analytic with a cross sectional approach, with a sample size of 92 respondents. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. The statistical analysis used is Multiple Linear Regression. The research results show that service quality has a positive and significant effect on patient loyalty at Puangrimaggalatung Sengkang Hospital, Wajo Regency. Likewise, patient satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on patient loyalty at Puangrimaggalatung Hospital, Wajo Regency. Simultaneously, service quality and patient satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on patient loyalty at Puangrimaggalatung Sengkang Hospital, Wajo Regency.

Abstract

Kualitas pelayanan administrasi merupakan kondisi dinamis dari layanan publik yang menentukan terpenuhi tidaknya harapan dan kebutuhan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh kualitas pelayanan administrasi terhadap kepuasan masyarakat pada Kantor Kelurahan Bulupabbulu, Kecamatan Tempe, Kabupaten Wajo. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian adalah masyarakat yang datang mengurus berkas administrasi di kantor kelurahan, dengan sampel sebanyak 100 responden yang dipilih secara purposif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji validitas dan reliabilitas, serta regresi linear sederhana yang mencakup uji t, uji F, dan koefisien determinasi (R Square). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan administrasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan masyarakat: nilai t hitung = 9,969 > t tabel = 1,660 dengan p = 0,000 < 0,05, dan nilai F hitung = 94,012 > F tabel = 3,94 dengan p = 0,000 < 0,05. Koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,490 mengindikasikan bahwa 49,0% variasi kepuasan masyarakat dijelaskan oleh kualitas pelayanan, sedangkan 51,0% dipengaruhi faktor lain di luar model. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan kualitas pelayanan administrasi untuk mendorong kepuasan masyarakat di tingkat kelurahan
