Abstract

Background: Fit to work, or an individual's ability to perform job tasks effectively and safely, especially in jobs that require high concentration and physical skills such as heavy equipment operators, is influenced by several important characteristic factors, including age, sleep duration, and nutritional status. The objective of this study was to determine the influence of individual characteristics of heavy equipment operator workers on their fit to work. Subjects and Methods: This study employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted at the Bagong Dam Project, Trenggalek, PT PP area, with using a total sampling technique of 48 heavy equipment operator workers. The independent variables were age, sleep duration, and nutritional status of workers, while the dependent variable influenced was fit to work. Data was collected through questionnaires and medical examinations. Data analysis was performed using logistic regression analysis at a significance level of 0.05. Results: The results indicate that age (p<0.782) does not significantly influence "fit to work" status, whereas sleep duration (p>0.037) demonstrates a significant impact. Nutritional status (p<0.488) shows no significant effect. Conclusion: It is recommended that the company focus on regulating adequate sleep for workers to improve health and safety at work.

Abstract

Stunted children are more vulnerable to tuberculosis (TB) compared to those with normal nutritional status. Pediatric TB remains a critical component in the overall TB control efforts in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the incidence of pulmonary TB among stunted children in Baki Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency. This was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach, conducted at the Baki Community Health Center in June 2025. A total of 94 stunted children were selected from a population of 122 using total sampling. Independent variables included child’s age, gender, parental education and income, access to healthcare services, and BCG vaccination status. The dependent variable was the incidence of pulmonary TB. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Chi-square tests and logistic regression. The prevalence of pulmonary TB among stunted children was 32.5%. No significant association was found between age or gender and TB incidence. However, maternal education, household income, access to healthcare services, and BCG vaccination status were significantly associated with TB incidence. Children without complete BCG immunization were at higher risk of TB (OR ≈ 2.75; p = 0.017). BCG vaccination status is the most dominant factor associated with pulmonary TB incidence among stunted children. It is recommended to improve the coverage and quality of basic immunization services, implement active TB screening in stunted children, expand access to healthcare services, and integrate stunting prevention with pediatric TB control programs.

Abstract

Viral load testing is an informative and sensitive method for successful HIV / AIDS therapy. This study aims to determine the relationship between adherence to viral antiretroviral consumption and viral load in people with HIV/AIDS. This research is a correlational analytic study using a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 34 people and, the number of samples was 32 using the purposive sampling technique. The research sample in this study was 32 respondents. The test results using the Spearman Rank obtained p-value 0,00 > 0,05. It was concluded that there was a relationship between adherence to antiretroviral drugs and viral load. Advice for people with HIV / AIDS is expected to increase adherence to ARV consumption so that viral load is low and undetectable so that CD4 cell count increases and disease prognosis improves.

Abstract

ISPA disease occurs in toddlers because the child's immune system is still low. ISPA disease can be transmitted through saliva, sneezing, breathing air that contains germs that are inhaled by healthy people through their respiratory tract. Based on data from the Banjit health center, ARI is included in the 10 highest diseases in the working area of the Banjit health center, in 2022 ARI cases totaled 1184 cases. There were 371 cases in toddlers with ARI cases. The risk of smoking inside the house, residue can stick to curtains, sofas, roofs, even children's toys. Parents' smoking habit in the house makes toddlers passive smokers who are always exposed to cigarette smoke. The aim of the study was to determine (title) the factors associated with ARI in toddlers in the Banjit Health Center Work Area in 2022. using a quantitative cross-sectional method using the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data analysis looked for a relationship (title) using the chi square test, with independent variables and dependent variables (Knowledge, smoking habits, ARI under five). The study population was taken from 103 toddlers who were sick with ISPA from September to December 2022. With a sample of 84 toddlers. The results showed that there was a relationship between mother's knowledge (p-value = 0.002), smoking habits of family members (p-value = 0.004) and ARI in toddlers. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between the determination of mother's knowledge and the effect of smoking on the incidence of ARI in toddlers. As an act of controlling ISPA in the working area of the Banjit Public Health Center, two risk factors are the top priority. Community support in creating a healthy living community movement (Germas) is especially sought not to smoke near toddlers.  Keywords: Knowledge, Smoking Habits, ARI under five

Abstract

Stunting is a condition where growth delays occur in children which are characterized by a condition where their bodies are shorter when compared to children of their age. The purpose of this study was to analyze the provision of modified PMT based on local wisdom to stunting toddlers. This research method is the desk study method, namely the collection of data and information including documentation studies and literature studies from the results of previous studies related to this research. Data analysis in this research is content analysis. The results of the study showed that giving modified PMT based on local wisdom to stunting toddlers with the local food type bose corn could improve and increase the nutritional status of children. Provision of additional food ingredients for corn bose can be combined with fish, eggs, nuts, and vegetables to improve children's nutrition. Bose corn can also help increase the productivity of breastfeeding mothers.
