Abstract

This study explores the integration of Technology-Enhanced Language Learning (TELL) and its impact on English Language Teaching (ELT). The research addresses the issue of how technology influences students' learning experiences in ELT. The study aims to examine students' perspectives on the use of digital tools in language learning and their effectiveness in enhancing the learning process. A case study approach was employed, with data collected through the interactive platform Mentimeter. Fourteen students from the Tadris Bahasa Inggris Study Program at STAIN Mandailing Natal participated by providing their opinions on the integration of technology in ELT during a presentation session. The analysis reveals that the majority of respondents expressed positive perceptions of technology use in ELT. Students highlighted those various digital tools introduce a new dimension to learning, making the process more engaging and accessible. Key benefits identified include easier access to resources, increased interactivity, and greater flexibility in learning. These findings emphasize the significance of incorporating digital tools into language instruction to enhance the overall learning experience.

Abstract

Learning media is anything that can be used to convey a message from the sender to the recipient, thereby stimulating students' thoughts, feelings, attention, and interest in learning. Learning media is crucial to the world of education. Amidst today's rapid technological developments, teachers are required to possess the necessary skills to master technology and its relevance to learning media in the classroom. The Canva application is one such learning technology utilized for learning media. Training on creating learning media using Canva was held to improve the skills and digital literacy of teachers at SDN 054945 Dogang Tanjung Pura Langkat. The results of this training concluded that this activity can help teachers become more proficient in using digital technology and offer a wider selection of learning media to motivate students to learn. The impact of the Canva training on learning includes teachers' knowledge of how to create more innovative learning media, make learning more creative and less monotonous, and transform learning into a fun experience.

Abstract

Social relationships are desired if someone feels that their self-esteem or sense of security will increase, and this relationship will be realized by carrying out harmonious communication. Interpersonal communication is a communication process that is considered the most effective and the process can be done in a very simple way. Apart from being an important element, interpersonal communication is a "bridge" in establishing social relationships between people. Apart from being effective, interpersonal communication is a communication process that is considered important and a necessity for every person, both in formal and non-formal organizations. Therefore, it is important for everyone to have communication skills, without being limited by position, social status or stratification in social life. This research uses qualitative research, with descriptive qualitative research type. The research subjects were madrasah principals and Darussa'adah Darussa'adah teachers. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Abstract

The growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools has reshaped language learning, offering new opportunities for students to enhance their writing skills. This qualitative study explores the experiences of 27 first-semester students from the Islamic Education Management Department at Institut Jam’iyah Mahmudiyah, Tanjung Pura, in learning English writing through ChatGPT. The study aims to understand how students use ChatGPT as a problem-solving tool when facing difficulties in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence construction. Data were collected through questionnaires and written reflections. The findings reveal that students use ChatGPT to find examples, clarify grammatical rules, and practice sentence formation in various contexts. Many students reported feelings of curiosity, engagement, and self-reflection during the process. The study implies that ChatGPT can serve as an effective learning companion, fostering learner autonomy and motivation in developing writing skills among beginner students in Islamic higher education settings.
