Abstract

Quality is one of the most crucial factors for manufactured products. Good product quality will increase customer loyalty and hence, higher profit for the company. SR company is a local Small Medium Enterprise (SME) in Bandung that produces bread products. Among various kinds of bread, Kadet is the main product with an average production of approximately 1000 pcs per day. In addition, Kadet bread has numerous defective products with an average of 3%-5% per 1000 pcs. Moreover, Kadet is a product baked at high temperatures, and hence, the timing of the production staff is crucial to prevent defectiveness. In this work, we use the Taguchi method to obtain factors that produce defectiveness and the combination of the optimal production factors. Furthermore, using the Analysis of Variance, the results show the optimal process design for minimum defective Kadet bread products as the process evaluation for better product quality.

Abstract

Perbandingan harga adalah sebuah model dimana harga jual dari suatu barang ditentukan dari beberapa perbandingan antara pendapatan yang ditawarkan dengan kemampuan bersaing di barang tersebut. Tujuan dari program stabilisasi pasokan dan harga pangan (SPHP) Perum Bulog Karawang ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah harga beras yang awalnya sangat melonjak tinggi dapat menurun dan untuk memastikan terkendalinya distribusi beras secara metara kepada setiap daerah yang ada di karawang agar harga beras tidak melonjak tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil dari uji T-TEST PAIRED SAMPLE, secara detail diketahui terdapat penurunan yang signifikan yang awalnya harga tertinggi di Rp.12.100/liter sampai turun di harga Rp.10.000/liter. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan penjelasan bahwa adanya dampak positif dari program Stabilisasi Pasokan dan Harga Pangan (SPHP) di Bulog Karawang terhadap masyarakat Karawang dan sekitarnya.

Abstract

One of the MSMEs (Micro, Small Medium Enterprise) in the food sector located in Cibuaya Karawang area, namely Opak Ketan MSMEs, still carries out the opak production process manually, resulting in various shapes and diameters of opak. Opak ketan itself is made from a type of opak with different sizes and thicknesses, such as larger and thicker opak, and smaller opak with thin thickness and a crisp texture due to being baked. According to field analysis and interviews conducted at the research site, the manual production process presents difficulties and causes fatigue for workers, particularly in the formation of opak diameter and thickness. The printing process is done one by one (repeatedly), making it time-consuming and causing fatigue for workers who sit for long periods. As a result, the shape and thickness of opak lack precision (inconsistencies in size), leading to a lack of standardization. In terms of work activities, workers easily experience fatigue, particularly in their hands, waist, and back due to repetitive static movements. Ergonomically, working conditions are a factor that can enhance productivity, safety, and comfort for workers. Therefore, there is a need for the development and design of a suitable technology innovation model that can facilitate opak workers by creating a tool for printing opak ketan using an opak printing machine. This innovation can influence increased production capacity to be faster and standardized in shape and thickness. This design also applies the House of Quality (HOQ) model which successfully links consumer desires with a product design which produces 10 assumed criteria and 15 characteristics in order of importance. So it is concluded that the first priority that needs to be taken into account is determining price, flexibility and engine resources (fuel).

Abstract

Background: Peningkatan mutu sumber daya manusia menjadi bagian yang penting untuk memenangkan persaingan pada era Industri 4.0. Hal ini menjadi tuntutan bagi dunia pendidikan untuk dapat terus melakukan perbaikan berkelanjutan pada sistem pendidikannya agar dapat menghasilkan lulusan yang terampil dan kompeten sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri. SMK MedikaCom Bandung merupakan Sekolah Pusat Keunggulan yang ada di daerah Bandung yang telah memiliki 9 jurusan telah menerapkan konsep pembelajaran teaching industry yang memanfaatkan teknologi digitalisasi dalam proses pembelajarannya siswa/i. Saat ini analisis situasi kondisi sekolah yaitu berupaya memberikan pelatihan bagi guru untuk terampil dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digitalisasi diantaranya teknologi additive manufacturing 3-D Printing. Namun terdapat faktor penghambat yang dihadapi seperti rendahnya tingkat pemahaman guru dan siswa/i serta belum tersediannya alat mesin 3-D Printer. Metode: Sehingga melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, Dosen Fakultas Teknik Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang melakukan peningkatan pengetahuan additive manufacturing (3-D printing) dalam implementasi perancangan produk pembelajaran bagi guru dan siswa. Hasil: Kegiatan dihadiri oleh 10 orang guru dan 75 orang siswa/i pada Senin, 9 September 2024. Hasil yang didapatkan pada kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman terkait 3D printing oleh guru dan siswa/i. Kesimpulan: Hasil kegiatan memberikan peningkatan pemahaman guru dan siswa/i sebanyak 95% dan juga telah memberikan mesin 3-D printer yang akan dimanfaatkan pada kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Indonesia, khususnya pada sektor makanan, sering menghadapi tantangan dalam manajemen keuangan, terutama dalam pencatatan transaksi dan penyusunan laporan keuangan yang akurat. Metode pembukuan manual yang rentan terhadap kesalahan dan memakan waktu menghambat efisiensi operasional UMKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sistem pembukuan keuangan digital menggunakan Excel VBA, yang memungkinkan otomatisasi pencatatan transaksi dan pembuatan laporan keuangan harian untuk UMKM pecel di Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode waterfall dengan pendekatan prototipe, serta teknik pengumpulan data seperti wawancara, observasi langsung, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian mencakup prototipe fungsional yang meningkatkan efisiensi operasional UMKM dengan menyediakan solusi pembukuan yang terjangkau, sederhana, dan mudah diakses. Sistem ini memungkinkan UMKM untuk menghasilkan laporan keuangan yang akurat dan tepat waktu tanpa memerlukan keterampilan teknis yang tinggi. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada digitalisasi pembukuan keuangan UMKM dan menyoroti potensi teknologi sederhana dalam meningkatkan manajemen keuangan. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat berfokus pada penambahan fitur canggih dan eksplorasi program pelatihan untuk membantu UMKM dalam mengadopsi teknologi ini.

Abstract

School feeding programs are widely recognized as strategic interventions to improve child nutrition, support academic achievement, and reduce the economic burden on low-income families, making them a vital component of social policy in many countries, including Indonesia. The Free Nutritious Meal Program for elementary schools aims to address these goals, yet its success depends not only on technical delivery but also on how beneficiaries perceive its benefits. This study examined the perceived benefits of the program by analyzing the influence of food quality, meal distribution frequency, and program information, with trust in government as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 133 parents of beneficiary students through structured questionnaires and analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results indicate that food quality has the strongest direct effect on perceived benefits, followed by program information. Meal frequency showed no significant direct effect but contributed indirectly by strengthening trust in government, which emerged as a significant mediator. These findings highlight that improving technical service quality must be accompanied by strategies to build institutional trust. The study offers theoretical contributions by integrating public service management and trust perspectives, and practical implications for policymakers to enhance service quality, transparency, and communication strategies.

Abstract

In the cigarette paper industry, pallet packaging plays a crucial role in the supply chain. It helps protect cigarette paper from physical damage and environmental factors during transportation and storage. PT BM  faces several challenges, one of which is inefficiency in inventory management, leading to unnecessary costs in production and distribution processes. This study applies the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to determine the optimal order quantity of raw materials, ensuring a smooth production process. The calculation results show that implementing the EOQ method leads to more efficient total inventory costs compared to the company's previous ordering policy. For local pallets, the optimal order quantity changed from 3,600 sets ordered 12 times per year (costing Rp 43,200,000.00) to 514,208 sets ordered only 3 times per year (costing Rp 10,800,000.00). A similar improvement was observed for export pallets, where the order quantity changed from 3,600 sets ordered 24 times per year (costing Rp 52,200,000.00) to 338,327 sets ordered only 3 times per year (costing Rp 6,525,000.00). Additionally, the total inventory cost using the EOQ method was recorded at Rp 38,333,333.33 for local pallets and Rp 36,912,500.00 for export pallets. Keywords: EOQ, Inventory, Pallet Packaging
