Abstract

The process of managing a deceased person, known as Tajhizul Jenazah, holds significant religious and cultural value in Islamic teachings. This process includes washing, shrouding, performing funeral prayers, and burial according to Islamic principles. However, many communities face challenges due to a lack of understanding and practical skills in conducting Tajhizul Jenazah properly. Additionally, cultural traditions influence the local implementation of funeral rites, necessitating an approach that integrates Islamic values with local wisdom. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of community members in performing Tajhizul Jenazah by providing educational and hands-on training while respecting local traditions. The program employs a participatory approach, involving religious scholars, community leaders, and local organizations such as the Family Welfare Empowerment Group (PKK). The methodology consists of four key stages: (1) Socialization and counseling to build theoretical understanding, (2) Practical training in funeral management, (3) Simulated exercises with direct mentorship, and (4) Continuous evaluation and monitoring to measure the effectiveness of the program and ensure long-term implementation. The program significantly improved the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of participants. More than 85% of attendees demonstrated an increased understanding of Tajhizul Jenazah, while over 80% successfully performed the procedures according to Islamic teachings. Additionally, the program fostered a greater sense of social responsibility and community engagement, encouraging collective participation in funeral management. The integration of local cultural values further enhanced acceptance and sustainability, ensuring that communities could continue these practices independently.

Abstract

Rapid advancements in education demand technological innovations to enhance learning quality. This study explores the role of neuroscience-based education in improving students' cognitive development through adaptive learning technology in the AI era. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research involved the Principal, curriculum and student affairs deputies, teachers, and students. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Findings reveal that neuroscience-based adaptive learning technology enhances cognitive development by addressing individual learning styles. Intelligent learning systems enable personalized education, allowing students to progress at their own pace, improving learning efficiency and effectiveness. Beyond academic skills, these technologies foster learning motivation, engagement, and outcomes. This study underscores the importance of integrating neuroscience principles into AI-driven education to support holistic cognitive development and create engaging, personalized learning experiences, offering a fresh perspective on the intersection of neuroscience, technology, and education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the principal in improving the quality of education at MTs Nurul Huda Campalok Jatisari, Arjasa Situbondo, which faces rural-specific challenges such as limited infrastructure, strong local cultural influences, and low student learning motivation. Employing a qualitative narrative study, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model with credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. The findings reveal that the principal plays a strategic role through visionary planning, organizational management of teachers and facilities, implementation of student and teacher development programs, and continuous evaluation to foster educational improvement. Specific strategies include optimizing limited resources, strengthening student discipline through motivational approaches, innovating extracurricular talent and interest programs, managing financial resources effectively, and building intensive collaboration with the community and religious leaders. The results indicate that participatory and adaptive leadership creates positive impacts such as increased teacher motivation, improved student discipline and achievement, and the establishment of a more conducive learning environment. The study concludes that the principal’s role is critical in enhancing educational quality in rural areas. The recommendation emphasizes the development of contextual, innovative, and collaborative leadership models to enable rural madrasahs to achieve competitiveness while preserving the social and cultural identity of their communities.
