Abstract

This article aims to explain the commands and prohibitions of the prophet Muhammad in hadits by using Searle's speech act theory. The purpose of this study focused to describe the commands and prohibitions of the prophet Muhammad in seen from sentence mode. Results of this study indicate that there are several characteristics of the use of the phrase mode commands and prohibitions of the Prophet Muhammad such us declarative sentences mode with verb sentence form and noun sentence form; Imperative sentences mode with fi‘lul-amri form, ismu fi‘lil-amri form, dan la an-nahiyah form; and the interrogative sentences mode with using “َ ”أand “.”

Abstract

This research was conducted to explain the cultural acculturation of the Yemeni and Malay zapin dance as a means of da'wah Islamiyah in Malaysia. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. In this research, literature study was also carried out as a data collection method. There is a theory in this research, namely the theory of cultural diffusion and from the point of view of a historical approach. The aim of this research is to reveal the acculturation elements of the Yemeni and Malay zapin dance. Then describe the Islamic da'wah function and the value between the two parties behind the zapin dance. The results that can be concluded from the acculturation of the Yemeni zapin dances and the Malay dances in Malaysia are producing all kinds of changes including the elements of dancers, musical instruments, movements, and the lyrics or songs used in these dances.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to explain the strategy of speech acts of the commands and prohibitions of the prophet Muhammad in the hadith using Searle's speech acts theory. The purpose of this paper is focused on describing the strategies used by the prophet Muhammad in conveying commands and prohibitions. The results of this paper indicate that there are many speech act strategies used by the Prophet Muhammad in delivering commands and prohibitions, such as direct literal speech acts, indirect literal speech acts, and indirect literal speech acts.
