The aim to be achieved in this research is to determine the influence of the traditional game engklek smart on the reading interest of children in group B RA Al Huda Sumberagung, Sukodadi, Lamongan. This research uses a quantitative research approach with a pre-experimental research type using a one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were group B children at RA Al Huda Sumberagung, Sukodadi, Lamongan with a total of 9 children. The data collection method used is observation using assessment tools in the form of observation sheets and documentation. Using statistical analysis methods with the formula used is the t test which corresponds to the title The Influence of the Traditional Game Engklek Smart on Reading Interest in Group B Children RA Al Huda Sumberagung, Sukodadi, Lamongan Data analysis technique uses the t test The calculation results show that the t value = 12.67 and the t table is 1.86 for a significance level of 0.05 and 2.90 for a significance level of 0.01. From these results it can be seen that the tcount value is greater than ttable, thus the Null Hypothesis is rejected and the Working Hypothesis is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the traditional game engklek smart influences the reading interest of children in group B RA Al Huda Sumberagung, Sukodadi, Lamongan.

Abstract

Emotional social skills influence children's readiness to transition from early childhood education (PAUD) to elementary school, particularly in terms of difficulties in interaction and self-adjustment. The research developed a learning media product regarding emotional social skills, namely Parita, as a solution to assess children's readiness during the PAUD to SD transition. This research utilized the R&D development model based on Borg & Gall (1983), adapted into eight stages. The pre-test and post-test designs were used in this study while also applying both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. Data collection methods were sourced from validation questionnaires for the material, validation for the Parita media, and assessment instruments when used by children. Based on a series of research stages, it was found that before the intervention, four subjects tended to have low emotional social skills. Parita, as an innovative learning media solution, is categorized as 'suitable' for assessing children's emotional social readiness. After being treated with Parita, an increase in social-emotional skills was found in four subjects. The social-emotional readiness during the transition from Early Childhood Education (PAUD) to elementary school for children aged 5-6 years at TKS Melati Surabaya also successfully improved, as evidenced by the post-test results.

Thekresearch methodoused was experimental research. Datapcollection using documentation, performance tests and participatory observations analyzedgusing thekt test. Thekpre-test scoreowas 2.03 andkthe post-testkscore was 2.48 so thatzthere was ankincrease inpchildren's cognitivekdevelopment to develop very well. The results of the data analysis showed thatmthe t-count value of 23 was greaterkthan thekt-table of 1.76 withka significanceklevel of 0.05 with N = 15. This proves that the working hypothesis (H) which states that there is an effect of ULTIF games onkthe cognitive abilities ofkchildren agedk5-6 years.
