Abstract

Lack of education and training facilities for youth people who are in accordance with the visual learner's learning system makes one aspect of the lack of interest of youth in developing and increasing their productivity. Therefore, this research is conducted to provide an architectural concept that can adapt to the visual learner's learning system for youth. The design concept of the design uses a multisensory theory approach to create attention, sensation and memory into the visual learner learning system for youth. In addition, the direct analogy approach to visual functions becomes one of the design strategies to give attention especially youth in better understanding the stages to be carried out, namely the professionalism stage. Architectural factors that influence the productivity of youth are the shape, scale, color, and materials used in rooms and buildings. This was obtained by means of observation and participatory questionnaires with youth of productive age. Besides the professionalism factors that can assess the productivity of youth are knowledge, skills, and attitude. This was obtained by the questionnaire method with the HRD manager. The method used in the idea uses the concept base framework design method. To present a moment in the design framework, it is necessary to have a research method in it, namely participatory qualitative methods, literature observation and environmental mapping on selected land. The moment presented will limit the exploration of elements that have a role in increasing visual perception in youth’s productivity. Moment will evaluate architectural factors that can be adapted to existing environmental conditions, so as to create the perfect concept in increasing the productivity of youth.

Abstract

Efficient energy on heat energy and embodied energy in a simple house type in Indonesia needs to be observed. The type of house is very closely linked with the building area. It is necessary to know in order to determine the type of house by developers or for the government in terms of the energy. This energy efficiency is important because energy is a world problem that must be saved. The buildings in this study using Compressed Earth Block (CEB) wall material. CEB is a low-energy building materials and local material. This material is a type of brick, but not through the process of burning. The research problem is the type of house which one has energy efficient? Because it is not always type with a small area will have energy efficient. The method used was the optimization of the heat energy in this case the cooling load with embodied energy. The research variables was the building floor area is reflected in the type of building. Cooling load in a building was calculated for a year, simulating calculations of the cooling load performed by software Archipak. While the embodied energy calculations using the standard embodied energy per unit. The results showed that the type of building optimal heat energy and embodied energy is a type of building 70 or a building type with the largest area. Building that has a small embodied energy will produce heat energy which is small as well.

Abstract

In discussing traditional markets, not a few are found that the market experiences a setback in existence in the community. The decline in the existence of traditional markets, one of which occurred in the Great Market of Malang with the increasing lifestyle of Malang people in harmony with technological sophistication. Pasar Besar Malang has urgency, which is experiencing 3 fires and is increasingly doubting the ability of Pasar Besar Malang to guarantee safety and comfort on the move. In addition to buyers, traders also experienced a decrease in the number due to the uneven distribution of trade transactions that caused traders to continue to suffer losses. Through the site analysis study method and the sense of place approach that is applied to the questionnaire, the potential and the possibility of utilization are explored by producing design requirements. Implementation of design requirements in the form of design aspects that discuss such as optimizing access and circulation through the transition zone. This is done in order to create a quality of space that is comfortable and able to provide sustainability for the existence of Pasar Besar Malang as a provider of needs and public space.

Abstract

East Java art has a diversity of types and forms of performances. There are types of performances in the form of theatrical and ballet performances. This traditional art performance is intended to convey messages, advice, and past stories. This presentation is presented with various types of art so that between the types of theatrical or dance performances, each has a variety of needs for its stage and capacity. However, the lack of staging facilities is one of the problems that result in reduced artistic activities, so that some traditional arts in East Java are threatened with extinction. In this study, the purpose of this study is to look for patterns of flexibility in the auditorium to meet the needs of East Java art activities. The method used is the observation method. The observation was carried out by observing each type of East Java art activities to be accommodated, namely the type of traditional dance and theater. The selected arts are several art representatives who have the same type of performance. From the results of data analysis it can be concluded that the auditorium can at least adapt to 4 types of spatial configurations: arena, endstage, proscenium, and plaind stage.

Abstract

Tourism plays an important role in the development of a city. Gianyar Botanical Garden (KRG) is nature tourism that explores natural and cultural potential. The existing culture serves as a philosophy of life, values, and activities. Culture and architecture will produce traditional architecture. The problem that occurs in the botanical garden is the decrease in identity and visualization as tourism. This phenomenon causes the region does not have its characteristics. The Gianyar Botanical Garden (KRG) is a sector that needs to be redeveloped with the local culture. A relevant culture to redevelop the tourism sector using the Tri Hita Karana concept. Related to the culture, it aims to find out the potentials and aspects which have Tri Hita Karana cultural values consisting of Parhyangan, Pawongan, and Palemahan. This study used a naturalistic paradigm research method with a qualitative approach by collecting information through observations, interviews, and documentation. This study supported by walk-through analysis of patterns and activities. The result showed the natural potential and local culture influenced the development of tourism. Bali as a tourist destination must pay attention to Tri Hita Karana aspects as the basis in preserving, protecting, and exploring. The redevelopment of the Gianyar Botanical Garden (KRG) with cultural uniqueness so that tourism becomes harmonious about God, human beings, and the environment that can last for a long period.

Abstract

Social and economic conditions affect people’s behavior and preference for housing and the selection of housing area and its design. People with higher economic and social conditions will choose a better quality of housing and the environment. This decision also influences housing preference for apartment design. The quality of the apartment is influenced by a healthy environment, the use of energy that is efficient and can be recycled, using the eco-design approach, and basic facilities are provided. This study focuses on design-based research for designing an apartment building that suits the preferences of middle and upper occupants with an ecological approach. In this study, middle and upper occupant preference determines the shape of the facade design in buildings. In order to determine design parameters and criteria, this study uses a literature review, data analysis, and architectural precedent study. The result finds that several aspects are synthesized and selected as general design criteria apartment buildings. The important parameters in the design of the facade of the building are attractive façade design and emphasize the changing color through vegetation design inside and surrounding the building facades at each season. The building is designed minimalist architecture with a neutral color selection that is combined with natural colors such as wood and stone. Parts of apartment facilities can also be accessed by the occupants easily. Placement of vegetation evenly gives the impression of being close to nature and provides relaxation for each occupant of the apartment building.
