Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of liquidity, inflation, and interest rates on the return of State Retail Sukuk (SUKRI) both in the short term and in the long term. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling method by considering that the maturity of the series is the most recent and can be obtained in the secondary market and the data sources obtained from the monthly statistical reports of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (idx.go.id), the official website of Bank Indonesia (bi.go.id), as well as through a special request to The Indonesia Capital Market Institute (TICMI). Analysis of the data used in this study is a time series, namely research that is measured over a certain period of time. The period data used was in March 2017 on the grounds that the 009 Retail Sukuk as the object of this study were published in that month and ended in March 2020. The method used in this study is ARDL-ECM after going through the stationarity test and cointegration test. The results show that in the long term only the BI rate variable has a significant positive effect on Sukuk Returns, while in the short term only the Liquidity variable has a significant effect on Sukuk Returns. On the other hand, the inflation variable is known to have no significant effect on the Sukuk Returns in the long and short term. This research can be a reference for investors to make decisions in choosing SUKRI as their investment portfolio, as well as a consideration for the government in regulating risk management policies and determining the results offered to SUKRI which will be issued for subsequent series.

Abstract

This study intended to determine the influence of internal and external factors of Islamic banks on the Non-Performing Financing (NPF) ratio during the global financial crisis effect Covid-19. This research by utilizing quarterly data on the panel data method with 11 Islamic Commercial Banks (IBs) in the 2019Q1-2020Q4 period sourced from financial report of each bank and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results indicate that all independent variables, namely the Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), Bank Size, and Economic Growth have a significant negative effect on NPF, except for the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). This can be inferred that the credit restructuring policy enacted by the Indonesian government has been effectively decreasing the ratio of NPF in banks, especially for IBs in Indonesia during the pandemic of Covid-19

Abstract

Abstract: Retail Sukuk is one of the Islamic investment instruments that Muslim investors can choose in investing and can be used by the government as an alternative to financing the APBN deficit. This study aims to determine the effect of liquidity risk, inflation risk, and market risk on the return of Retail State Sukuk (SUKRI). A sampling of Retail Sukuk Series 009 (SR009) was conducted using the purposive sampling method with the consideration that the maturity of the series is the latest and can be traded on the secondary market. Through a multiple linear regression model with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) analysis technique, the results indicated that simultaneously all independent variables (liquidity, inflation, and interest rates) had a significant effect on return (Yield). While partially the results have shown between each different variable where liquidity has a significant negative effect on yield, interest rates show a significant positive effect. In contrast, inflation has no significant effect on yield. The results of this study can be utilized as a reference for investors in making decisions to choose SUKRI as their investment portfolio because the yield can be viewed from both the liquidity of the Sukuk and macro-economics conditions such as inflation and interest rates. Hence, when the interest rate increases, the investor can decide to invest in SUKRI. In addition, the results of this study can be used as a consideration for the government in regulating risk management policies and determining the returns offered to SUKRI, which will be issued for the next series. Keywords: Sukuk Yield; Liquidity Risk; Retail Sukuk; Multiple Linear Regression.

Abstract

Income distribution plays an important role in the economy in both conventional and Islamic economics. In conventional economics, income distribution often focuses on market efficiency, but this can lead to inequality and social disparities. In contrast, Islamic economics emphasizes the principles of justice, respect for the Shari'a, and equitable distribution of wealth, using instruments such as zakat, infaq, and waqf to reduce inequality and achieve social welfare. This study uses a literature review method, this study identifies the challenges faced in implementing both income distribution systems. The main challenges in conventional economics include economic inequality caused by unequal access to education and resources, while in Islamic economics, the challenges lie in the implementation of distribution mechanisms that are not yet optimal. This study concludes that although both face challenges, the Shari'a-based distribution system is more inclusive and oriented towards social welfare, making it a fairer alternative in the long run.

Abstract

Law Number 36 of 2008 concerning Income Tax and also Law Number 23 of 2011 concerning Zakat Management which states that zakat can be a deduction from Taxable Income (PKP). However, in terms of implementation, it has not been optimal. The purpose of this study is to analyze the challenges in the implementation of zakat as a deduction from PKP and the optimization of the synergy of zakat and tax in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research approach with the library research method. The results of this study state that the challenges that make it less than optimal include low public understanding, minimal information obtained and not all people pay zakat at BAZ or LAZ due to lack of trust in the institution. Therefore, optimization of the synergy of zakat and tax must be carried out by conducting socialization to both the Directorate General of Taxes and also BAZ or LAZ, increasing the credibility of BAZ and LAZ, and exploring the potential of zakat with a direct tax deduction policy (tax credit). This study provides implications for each stakeholder to synergize in socializing zakat as a deduction from PKP.

Abstract

This systematic review study analyzes the factors influencing food waste in various countries from the perspective of Hifzhul Bi'ah. The problem of food waste is a significant challenge because it impacts global food availability. From an Islamic ethical perspective, this phenomenon contradicts the principles of Hifzhul Bi'ah (Environmental Jurisprudence), which aims to realize the public good and prevent damage (israf) on earth. This study used a Systematic Review method based on PRISMA guidelines, reviewing 15 articles published between 2020–2025, predominantly from Indonesia. Most studies applied the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM PLS) methodology. Key factors that consistently influence food waste are Attitude, Subjective Norms, and Behavioral Control, as well as additional factors relevant to the moral aspects of Hifzhul Bi'ah, such as Religiosity and Environmental Awareness. The findings indicate that food waste is a multifactorial phenomenon, involving internal psychological/moral and external social/economic dimensions. A holistic and contextual mitigation strategy is needed, which explicitly integrates the sharia guidance of Hifzhul Bi'ah, to encourage sustainable anti-waste behavior and support the achievement of the SDGs
