The emerging paradigm of participatory development communication emphasizes participation andinvolvement from planning to decision-making process. PEKKA promotes the concept trough bottomupinitiative including planning, implementation and project evaluation. This study aims to investigateprocess of participatory development communication by PEKKA and economic empowerment ofwomen household. The research employs a case study of Desa Dayah Tanoh, Kecamatan MutiaraTimur, Kabupaten Pidie, Aceh Province. Data gathering was through fieldwork and in-depthinterviews in April-May 2012. The research finds that PEKKA’s approach provides an equalopportunity and access to the beneficiaries by using monologue, dialogue and combination of bothchannels. Several factors such as age, education, occupation, marital status, number of familydependent, family support, institutional support and role of field assistant contribute to efficacy ofparticipatory communication. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the strategy is a factor of successful ofthe project that is women economic empowerment.

Pengetahuan dan keterampilan Kelompok Tani Desa Ie Suum tentang teknik perakitan instalasi irigasi tetes untuk peningkatan produksi cabai masih terbatas. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok tani tentang teknik perakitan instalasi irigasi tetes untuk peningkatan produksi cabai. Kendala utama dalam peningkatan produksi cabai adalah sulitnya tersedia air dan teknik irigasi yang tidak memadai. Disamping itu tanaman sangat mudah layu dan tumbuh kerdil. Mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian tentang teknik perakitan instalasi irigasi tetes untuk peningkatan produksi cabai. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Ie Suum Kecamatan Mesjid Raya Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meliputi penyuluhan, demonstrasi teknik perakitan instalasi irigasi tetes dan pengaplikasian pada tanaman cabai. Target dan luaran dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok tani tentang teknik perakitan instalasi irigasi tetes untuk peningkatan produksi cabai, dapat meningkatkan pendapatan dan berbisnis cabai secara profesional dan berkelanjutan. Hasil pengabdian telah berhasil merakit penyiraman irigasi tetes untuk peningkatan produksi cabai di Desa Ie Suum Kecamatan Mesjid Raya Aceh Besar. Terjadi peningkatan pertumbuhan tanaman sampai 50% dengan penggunaan irigasi tetes pada budidaya cabai.

Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris mengadakan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu membangun minat peserta didik Kampung Inggris Parit Baru dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris. 137 peserta didik Kampung Inggris Parit Baru terlibat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dari tanggal 22, 29 Pebruari, 7 dan 14 Maret 2020 di Kantor Desa Parit Baru, Kubu Raya. Catatan lapangan yang telah dianalisis secara tematik menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas bernyanyi yang menggunakan gerakan fisik tidak hanya berguna untuk mengajarkan Bahasa Inggris namun juga membangun minat peserta didik dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris. Rasa ingin tahu yang timbul dengan memberikan variasi pada materi ajar juga membantu membangun minat mereka. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa program pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah berhasil membantu membangun minat preserta didik dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris.

Para pelaku bisnis yang siap menghadapi MEA (Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean) atau pasar bebas ASEAN dituntut mampu berkolaborasi, berkomunikasi, dan berpikir kreatif seperti yang diharapkan sebuah negara, yakni pelatihan English for Marketing yang menekankan pada proses pengenalan ungkapan bermakna melalui kegiatan eksplorasi aktif yang dilakukan oleh para peserta yakni kelompok pengusaha makanan dan minuman (P3MM) terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi pada bisnis mereka. Adapun tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memperkaya kosakata mengenai marketing dalam bahasa Inggris dan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta pelatihan dalam berbicara ungkapan-ungkapan mengenai marketing dalam bahasa Inggris. Pelatihan dilakukan menggunakan metode project based learning yang diawali dengan kegiatan pemberian informasi mengenai dengan English slogan/taglines dan speaking performance tentang produk yang dijual sesuai dengan gramatika ucapan bahasa inggris dan juga memberikan contoh teks teks bahasa Inggris tentang transaksi jual beli produk P3MM. Para peserta menyimak dan menirukan bagaimana mendesain English slogan/taglines yang menarik, berlatih menggunakan ungkapan bahasa inggris mengenai produk yang dijual. Satu per satu peserta pelatihan melakukan presentasi mempromosikan produknya secara individu serta berdialog jual beli dalam bahasa Inggris. Selama pelatihan peserta diberikan contoh, komentar, saran, dan pembetulan ucapan, gramatika, intonasi secara tepat, yang kemudian diakhiri dengan pemberian tes tertulis kosakata dalam bentuk pilihan ganda dan praktik dalam bentuk speaking performance tagline produk dan pengisian angket kuisioner . Pelatihan English for marketing ini berharap akan pelaku UMKM khususnya kelompok P3MM Desa pal IX Kabupaten Kubu Raya diharapkan mampu mempromosikan maupun memasarkan produk, dan bertransaksi jual beli berbahasa Inggris baik dalam pameran maupun transaksi secara online ke berbagai negara. Setelah dilaksanakan pelatihan ini para pelaku usaha P3MM lebih percaya diri mempresentasikan produk mereka yang sudah memiliki slogan/taglines berbahasa Inggris dan berkomunikasi kepada orang lain dalam bahasa Inggris.

Tujuan penelian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran current ratio dan perubahan laba serta untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh current ratio terhadap perubahan laba pada perusahaan Sektor Industri Barang Konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Objek penelitian adalah Perusahaan Sektor Industri Barang Konsumsi yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2009 sampai dengan tahun 2013 yang telah memenuhi kriteria yaitu sebanyak 19 perusahaan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana, koefisien korelasi, determinasi dan uji t. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan software statistic SPSS 19.Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: 1) Current Ratio baik, Perubahan Laba cukup baik. 2) Ada pengaruh negatif antara Current Ratio terhadap Perubahan Laba. 3) Terdapat pengaruh yang tidak signifikan antara Current Ratio terhadap Perubahan Laba sebesar 26,1 persen. 4) Hipotesis penelitian H0 ditolak artinya Current Ratio berpengaruh negatif terhadap Perubahan Laba pada Perusahaan Sektor Industri Barang Konsumsi yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia.Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa apabila hasil pengukuran current ratio meningkat maka akan menyebabkan menurunnya perubahan laba, sebaliknya apabila hasil pengukuran current ratio menurun maka akan menyebabkan meningkatnya perubahan laba. Hal ini disebabkan karena efisiensi biaya modal.

This study aims to look at the role of husband and wife in terms of division of labor and time spent on productive activities, reproductive and social community on domestic rice farmers in the district of Mila and also to be able to know how access to factors of production, control the husband and wife on productive activity, reproductive and social community on domestic rice farmers in the district of Pidie district Mila. Gender relations can be determined by looking at the ratio of response of husband and wife, as well as the amount of time spent in each activity. The study was conducted in the village of Pulo Tanjong Mila districts by considering that the greater part of people both men and women farmers. The discussion outlined using a quantitative approach to perform tabulations on the results of respondents' answers will then be described to explain the data obtained in the field. The results showed the division of labor and spent of the time on more productive activities performed by the husband (113 hours) and wife (105 hours), the wife of reproductive activities dominate (10.28 hours) while the husband (2.82 hours), social activities community with almost the same number of division of labor and complementarity, husband (8.35 hours) and wife (7.46 hours). Husband had access to factors of production greater than the wife. In terms of controls on the husband's decision also have more control grows in farming, while the reproductive and social activities wife would dominate decision making.

One way to improve the productivity of smallholder plantations are mainly located in dry land is the cropping pattern of intercropping. Intercropping ensure the success of planting face uncertain climate, pests and disease, as well as price fluctuation. The purpose of this research was to determine differences in the income of farmers and land productivity in defferent cacao intercropping planting patterns on cocoa farms in the district Geulumpang Tiga. Sample in this study is 52 people were taken by Proportioned Statified Random Sampling. The method used is the analysis of profitability and productivity of cocoa plantations. Based on the analysis results obtained that the cropping pattern V has the highest income in the amount of Rp 9.508.511 per hectare per year. While the productivity of cacao plantations are highest in the cropping pattern V in the amount of 427 kg/ha/year.

This research was aimed at determining the number of sheds required by palm sugar craftsmen and the contribution of making them to the efficiency of labors and the income level of palm sugar craftsmen in Pining Sub-district, Gayo Lues Regency. The result of the research showed that the palm sugar craftsmen in Pining Sub-district, Gayo Regency required 5 unit sheds. From the calculation result by doing multiple linear regression analysis, it was got the level of efficiency in the use of the labors before existing the sheds was < 1 namely 0.05. It showed that the use of the labors was not efficient, then the level efficiency of the use of the labor was > 1 namely 1.81. It indicated that the rate of the labors was almost efficient and could be added again so that it became efficient. The average income of the craftsmen was higher if there were the sheds namely in the amount of Rp.926. 444, - than if there were no the sheds namely only in the amount of Rp 383. 968, -.

The development of the fisheries sector is one of the development priorities in Aceh Province so that it can have a positive impact on economic development in general. There are 2 groups of fishermen in carrying out capture fisheries production in Banda Aceh, namely the owner fisherman group and the cultivating fisherman group. ABK contained in the ship size 30-50 GT an average of 10 people and 50-80 GT as many as 26 people. The process of sharing fishery products shows that the profit sharing system seems to have been in accordance with the fishermen's sense of justice, namely that they have met the minimum criteria that must be obtained by each party. However, if it is analyzed more deeply based on the law on fishery product sharing, then this will appear to deviate far from the rules and sense of justice. So it is necessary to do an analysis of the system for the results of fishing vessels in the fishing port of Samudra Kutaraja Lampulo, Banda Aceh City. The size of the share of capital owners, sea captains and crew members (ABK) is highly dependent on the number of crew members used. Therefore, the study was conducted on ships with a size of 30-50 GT and ships of 50-80 GT which have a large number of crew members.This study aims to find out how the profit-sharing system that applies at the Ocean Kutaraja Lampulo fishing port, Banda Aceh city to ships with sizes of 30-50 GT and 50-80 GT and see the differences in the comparison of the fishery product sharing system applied to the established fishery product sharing system. in law no. 16 of 1964 concerning Fishery Revenue Sharing. The objects in this study are the ship owner, bench tauke, ship captain, and ship crew. while the scope is a boat profit sharing system between fishermen who own the ship, and fishermen working at the Kutaraja Lampulo Ocean Fishing Port, Banda Aceh. The type of data used is primary data obtained based on field observations through direct interviews with ship owners, ship toke, bench toke, ship captain and ship crew. Using a descriptive analysis model to determine the profit-sharing system for fishing at the Kutaraja Lampulo Ocean Fishery Port, Banda Aceh. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded as follows. The results obtained in the field regarding the revenue sharing system, the results obtained for each ship in the Prikanan Samudra Kutaraja Port are different. The distribution system for the results is not written but only in the form of an agreement between the Ship Owner, Bench Owner, Ship Captain and ABK. The profit sharing system for vessels measuring 30-50 GT and vessels measuring 50 -80 GT using purse seine fishing gear at the Samudra Kutaraja Port, Lampulo, Banda Aceh City, was obtained from a carefully made agreement between the owner fishermen and the working fishermen. The average distribution of ships size 30-50 GT for Ship Tauke 52%. Bench Tauke by 9%, captain of the ship by 12% and crew by 29%. Then - the average distribution of ships size 50 – 80 GT for Ship Tauke is 56%, Bench Tauke is 6%, Ship captain is 8% and ABK is 30%.The profit-sharing system for fishing vessels of size 30-50 GT applies a profit-sharing system according to the fishery product-sharing law of 1964. Meanwhile, vessels of size 50-80 GT apply that which is not in accordance with the fish-sharing law of 1964.

Yard area is an area of land that is in the front, rear and side of the house building which can be harnessed into productive land with socially economically functional outcome. The purpose of this study was to determine the utilization of yard area by commodity type and yard area contribution form to the social and economic life of Kembang Tani Group. This research was conducted at Cucum Village in Aceh Besar Regency by using census method. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that: (1) Utilization of yard area was mostly used for vegetables (water spinach, celery, spinach, mustard greens, lettuce), poultry (free-range chicken, duck laying hens and muscovy duck), fruits, fish (freshwater catfish, tilapia fish) and medicinal plants; (2) Social contribution form of giving (2,65%) and exchange (3,27%) with neighbors as well as giving to relatives (7,09%); (3) The economic value such as saving expense or non-cash income was on the low category of IDR 1.650.237/year or IDR 137.519/month and additional cash income was on medium category of IDR 28.876.183/year or IDR 2.406.348/month.
