Abstract

use of Google Classroom online learning media is not a new thing to be used in supporting lecture activities. This learning media is also an alternative that is used to support learning that is complementary not to replace direct learning. According to the CMC (Computer Mediated Communication) theory, the CMC pattern allows a person to communicate using computer-based communication tools or gadgets supported by internet devices and applications that allow us to virtually do various activities such as discussing, reading, watching and accessing the required sites .The method used in this research is to use quantitative research methods, and the type of research approach used is causal research. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling of 93 respondents or active students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Riau, the number of respondents was obtained through the Slovin formula. The data analysis method used is simple linear regression, t test, and testing the coefficient of determination.The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between the effectiveness of communication on learning achievement for the students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Google Classroom as an online learning media for FMIPA UNRI students shows the effectiveness of communication seen from the optimization of the media used in supporting learning processes and activities on campus, and can also be seen in the learning achievements of FMIPA students which show intellectual factors including cognitive, affective and the psychomotor. Keywords : Google Classroom, Online Learning Media, Learning Achievement

Abstract

PT. Riau Media Television Pekanbaru is the first local television station in RiauProvince. In order to make this television station become the best one, is not just theresponsibility of the leader, but also the subordinates. The objectives of this study were todetermine the interaction of communication, work culture, and communication barriers inclimate organizational communication that occurred in PT. Riau Media Television Pekanbaru.This study had been conducted from March - April 2015 in PT. Riau Media TelevisionPekanbaru. This study used descriptive qualitative research method with data collectiontechniques of observation, interviews and documentation. The object of this study is ClimateOrganizational Communication of PT. Riau Media Television Pekanbaru with subjects thataccomplished the research needs which as many as 8 people consisting of 5 leaders and threeemployees of PT. Riau Media Television Pekanbaru.Results showed that the interaction of communication that occurs in PT. Riau MediaTelevision Pekanbaru was running smoothly enough and opened. It can be seen in the downwardcommunication, upward communication and communication among the fellow employees. Wherecommunications are made to create a conducive atmosphere and effective communication inorder for the implementation of maximum performance for corporate purposes. Meanwhile thework culture that occurs in PT. Riau Media Television Pekanbaru form a consistency in applyingdiscipline in every action, enforcement of rules, and policies will encourage the emergence ofconditions of openness, full disclosure situation will improve horizontal and verticalcommunication, personal relationships between the formal and informal levels of management,so the growing attitude mutual respect. The communication barriers in Climate OrganizationalCommunication PT. Abstract

The insurance company is a non bank financial institutions engaged in addressing the risk of that happening in the foreseeable future. In marketing its products, any insurance agent has power marketers who called with an insurance agent. Any insurance agent has a leader in the Agency's team in. Leader in charge of recruiting new agents using persuasive communication to change the attitude and behavior of prospective agents. This research aims to know the characteristics of the leader, the form of the message conveyed, the medium used, and communication techniques applied to leader in recruiting prospective insurance agents.This research uses qualitative methods with the descriptive approach. This research was conducted at PT. Prudential Life Assurance Pekanbaru Branch Pru Future Team, Tuanku Tambusai street peninsula complex block B, no. 8 Pekanbaru.. There are 6 participants were taken through a purposive sampling technique and snowball sampling technique. Types and sources of data obtained through the primary data and secondary data. Data collection is done with observation to participants, interviews and documentation. This research uses interactive data analysis miles and huberman with an examination of the validity of the data is done through the extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this research is showing that the characteristics of a leader should have in recruiting prospective insurance agents is the credibility and appeal. The form of the message is verbal and nonverbal messages. Media used namely face-to-face media and media brochures. and persuasive communication technique used is the search for common ground's point of view, do a comparison, asking and listening, communication style and build credibility.Keyword : Persuasive communication, recruitment, leader, insurance agent

Abstract

The Public Relations performance in the Pekanbaru District Court is less effective in providing information to the community, one of which is due to limited public relations capacity and too heavy workload, Public Relations of the District Court which concurrently serves as a Judge. The purpose of this study is: to find out the form of Public Relations Performance of the Pekanbaru District Court in providing information to the public and to find out the barriers to the Performance of Public Relations of the Pekanbaru District Court in providing information to the public.     The design used in the study is a descriptive approach. In this study researchers used a qualitative descriptive type, this research will be conducted in the city of Pekanbaru, the data relating to this study will be obtained from the Pekanbaru City District Court. In collecting data, researchers used interviewing, observation, and documentation techniques by using informants as sources of information.               The results of the study show that the Public Relations of the Pekanbaru District Court is in charge of providing information related to policies, activities, reports on achievements or achievements, as well as information related to postponement hearings or changes to the trial schedule to the public. Public Relations also received complaints and complaints from the public. As a development and creator of an organization's positive image, namely by providing services openly to the community. The obstacles experienced in providing information include: Information received by the Public is not in accordance with what has been scheduled, Mass communication, namely the delivery of information is not widely conveyed to the public.

Abstract

Bengkalis regency is one of the government agencies that run the activities of publc relations. In every government agency, of course, have a good problem. Bengkalis district also experienced it. Along with the development of the media has become one of the tools to help disseminate information or news related to organization or government agencies. Public ralations Bengkalis district utilize media relations in maintaining a positive image.The research uses descriptive qualitative research type whit data collection method of interview, observation and documentation. To determine the subject, the research is interactive analsis model. To test the validity of the researcher uses extension of patricipation and data trisngulstion.The results of this study indicate that the public relations Bengkalis make massmedia as partners in in order to obtain a balanced publicity, forming a positive image and harmonious relationship with the mass media. Media relations activiover the spread of press releases, pers confies of bengkalis public relation bureau crences, perss visite, pers receptions, personal information service (news service) and anticipate contingency plan. Positive image of Bengkalis regency government in the eyes of the media well in line with the cooperation. Nevetheless, there are still public who think badly to the government of Bengkalis regency. Abstract

Education is an important element in creating a good quality, smart, damai, and democratic resourse. A good education can not be achieved without communication. Instructional communication is a part of education communication. It is a center of teaching and learning process. Teachers in Maqdis use it in the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this research is to find out instructional communication process and method taught by teachers.Writer uses qualitative method. Informants are 4 teachers and 4 students which are decided by purposive technique sampling. The 4 teachers are known as friendly, firm, and polite. While the students are vary. They are housewife, pediatric, and school student. All of them can memorize quran more than 1 juz in Maqdis. The object of this research are the teachers’ instructional method in improving student’s willingness in reading and memorize quran. Primary data are taken through interview and secondary data is the former research and journal. Data collecting technique are observation, interview, and documentation. To get the authenticity of the data, writer uses participation extention and triangulasi.The result shows us that communication process using non verbal symbol, which are mouth or tounge of the teacher who read the quran, and voice intonation should be clear to every student. This process is repeat over and over to make students memorize the quran. The use of media to support the instructional communication is used such as book/modul, and video. Instructional communication method taught by teachers in Maqdis are preaching, discussion/question and answer, assignment, tasmi’ and murajaah.Keyword: instructional communication, instructional communication process, instructional communication method.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the potential resources that can be developed by each region. Tourism is also a potential sector to become one of the sources of local revenue (PAD). South Solok Regency holds a lot of potential for natural, cultural and historical tourism. In recent years tourist objects in the South Solok Regency began to become one of the favorite destinations of the people in West Sumatra. The popularity of some of these tourist objects is inseparable from the efforts of the Department of Tourism and Culture of South Solok Regency in conducting promotional efforts to introduce the potential of the South Solok Regency. This study aims to explain the integrated marketing communication strategy carried out by the Department of Tourism and Culture of South Solok Regency in promoting regional tourism.This research uses a qualitative method with the type of descriptive research. The collection of informants in the study usingtechniques purposive with the number of research informants as many as seven (7) people. The informants in this study were five employees of the Department of Tourism and Culture of South Solok Regency and two visitors of one of the leading tourist attractions in South Solok Regency. Data collection techniques consist of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. An interactive data analysis technique for Miles and Huberman. To achieve the validity of the data in this study, the authors used an extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this study indicate that the Department of Tourism and Culture of South Solok Regency implemented an integrated marketing communication strategy as an effort to promote regional tourism. There are five promotional mixes used are as follows: (1) Advertising using print media, electronic media and outdoor media, (2) Sales Promotion is carried out by participating in exhibitions and conducting tourism events, (3) Personal Selling by cooperating with associations tourism and travel agents in offering tour packages, maximizing the role of guides, and making the Tourism Ambassador Uda as an icon of tourism as a liaison between the government and the community, (4) Social Media Marketing by using websites and social media as promotional media, (5) Public Relations & Publicity The Office of Tourism and Culture establishes good relations with stakeholders, the media and the community.

Abstract

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is basically a need for corporations to interact with local communities. Corporate needs to adapt in order to get social benefits from their relationship with the local community, namely in the form of trust. In implementing CSR, a culture that is based on adaptive ethics is needed. This study aims to determine the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility. PT. Partnership Program Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Pekanbaru Branch in Increasing the Success of UMKM in Pekanbaru City, knowing the mechanism for implementing the internal CSR partnership program of PT. Angkasa Pura II and knowing the implementation of the external CSR partnership program of PT. Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Pekanbaru Branch in increasing the success of UMKM. This study uses qualitative research methods using the Symmetrical Two Way Model. The research subjects consisted of 7 informants who were selected through a purposive technique. Data collection is done through interviews, observation and documentation. To do data analysis using interactive models Miles and Huberman. As well as checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques The results of this study indicate the implementation of CSR in the PT. Angkasa Pura II runs smoothly starting from the initial concept of CSR in partnership programs specifically for UMKM players whose businesses are developing, have business licenses and are located in the city of Pekanbaru and its surroundings. First, the internal implementation mechanism of CSR on the PT. Angkasa Pura II in increasing success begins from the stage of submitting proposals by UMKM actors, then surveying the business location by the PKBL unit. Furthermore, after being accepted for the submission and decided to become a fostered partner, a loan agreement is signed from the UMKM actor and PT. Angkasa Pura II. Second, the external implementation mechanism of CSR in the PT. Angkasa Pura II in increasing success, will be conducted seminars and entrepreneurship training, mentoring and then some of the fostered partners will be included in exhibitions as promotional media in the city of Pekanbaru. The determinants of the success of the program are inseparable from local community support and community participation in this program. Abstract

Employees are one part of the company's internal public which becomes the main element in achieving the goals. Employee relations is influrnced by internal relations between internal employees between leaders and employees with other employees or the relationship between employees and effective company manajement. The phenomena that occur in the new area of the company are lack of employees ability to carry out task oriented tasks, absenteeism problems, lack of respect for employee creativity, lack of communication between leaders and employees and careers running bogged down, monotounos and boring work. One the offorts made by PT PLN (Pesrero) Area Pekanbaru is to foster employee work through the application of employee relations to continue to produce the best and quality employees. This study aims to etermine the form of employee relations communication in increasing employee work motivation at PT PLN (Persero) Area Pekanbaru.This study uses qualitative methods with deskriptive analisis. The subjects in this study were determided based on a purposive technique consisting of public relations supervisors and company employees. Data collection techniques use Huberman’s interaktive style and Miles with the validity of the data being checked using an extension of participation and triangulation.The result of the study indicate that the form of employee relations at the PT PLN (Persero) Regional Pekanbaru plays a role in increasing employee work motivation at PT PLN (Persero) Regional Pekanbaru. The form of employee relations program that is implemented is education and training programs, award programs, special programs, employee welfare programs. The four programs that have been implemented are effective programs to increase employee motivasion at PT PLN regional Pekanbaru.Form of employee relations communication that is communication down, communication upwards, parallel communication. This form of employee relations communication is very influential in increasing employee motivation at PT PLN Regional Pekanbaru.Keywords: Implementation Employee Relations, Work Motivation

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility or CSR is basically a company commitment to give long term contribution to society or environment to create better environment. Good CSR implementation will generate public trust to the company, then a positive image will be able to be improved by the company. This study aims to determine the stage-by-stage implementation of CSR program by PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai in improving corporate image as well as the forms of community empowerment program of CSR PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai in improving corporate image.This research uses qualitative research method with descriptive approach. Research subject consisted of 9 informants selected through purposive technique. Data collection is done through observation, interview and documentation. To test the validity of data writer used extension method of participation and triangulation.The result of this study indicates that in implementing the program, the stages that CSR RU II has undergone are planning, implantation and evaluation. CSR program by PT. Pertamina RU II in the field of community empowerment are the development of integrated agricultural areas, the development of farmer groups, empowerment of women, and empowerment of youth. These four programs are effective enough to establish community, increase people’s economic income and increase community’s awaresness of the environment. Then there is exhibition program of the target groups and partners of CSR RU II which is effective in the effort to publicize CSR support group to the community as well as effort in improving the corporate image.Keyword: Implementation, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Image.
