Abstract

Abstract

Women make up almost half of the workforce in developed countries; the majority may experience various menopausal symptoms into their decade of employment. This SLR aims to investigate the impact of menopausal symptoms in a work context. This method was systematically searched to identify studies that assessed reduced productivity and menopausal symptoms. Searches were conducted according to PRISMA guidelines. Electronic search is complemented by targeted search; publications were screened by two independent reviewers. Results From 3,850 identified records, 5 studies were included. reported in women with vasomotor menopausal symptoms (VMS) compared with other women. Conclusion Menopausal symptoms weigh heavily on individual careers and society. The impact of menopausal symptoms is not uniform and tends to be underestimated given women work outside of paid jobs. Holistic impact assessment included. consideration of gender gaps and equality is needed to improve interventions for working menopausal women.

Abstract

Based on data from World Population Prospects (2020), it is clear that there are 871 million people aged 60 years or more, which consists of 15% of the world's population. The number of people aged 60 years or older is projected to grow by around 56% from 901 million to 1.4 billion. The aim of the research was to determine the factors related to the utilization of posyandu for the elderly at the Sibagindar Community Health Center, Pagindar District, Pakpak Bharat Regency. The research design uses an analytical survey research method using a cross sectional research design. The population in this study was all 716 elderly people. The sample was 88 with stratified random sampling. Data analysis uses univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between knowledge p = 0.000, attitude p = 0.00, distance p = 0.000, family support p = 0.000 and support from health workers p = 0.005 with the utilization of posyandu for the elderly in the Sibagindar Health Center Working Area, Pagindar District, Pakpak Bharat Regency, whereas The dominant factor is family support, p = 0.002 < 0.025 and 95% CI = 3.154-214.028 with an OR value = 25.983. The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between elderly knowledge, elderly attitudes, distance, family support, support from health workers with the use of elderly posyandu in the Sibagindar Community Health Center Working Area, Pagindar District, Pakpak Bharat Regency. It is recommended that the Sibagindar Community Health Center increase its role in providing training to health workers and be able to promote the use of posbindu for the elderly and it would be better for door to door health workers to provide education on the use of posbindu for the elderly.

Abstract

Dengue Fever (DBD) is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae which can be transmitted through the bite of Aedesaegypti mosquitoes infected with dengue virus to humans. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors that influence the prevention of dengue fever in the Working Area of Puskesmas Aekkota Batu, North Labuhanbatu Regency. The research design used quantitative methods carried out analytical surveys with a Cross Sectional Study approach. The population in this study were all people in the Aekkota Batu Health Center Working Area consisting of 9 villages, namely 19,271 family heads. The sample used a Stratified Random Sampling system of 99 family heads. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis with logistic regressionThe results showed that there was an influence of knowledge, attitudes, the role of health workers, water reservoirs and the presence of garbage on the prevention of dengue fever in the Working Area of Puskesmas Aekkota Batu, North Labuhanbatu Regency. While the most dominant factor is knowledge p = 0.000 < 0.025 and 95% CI = 7,270-385,013 with OR = 52,907. This means that knowledge has 52 times the risk compared to other variables. The conclusion of this study is that knowledge, attitudes, the role of health workers, water reservoirs and the presence of garbage affect the prevention of dengue fever in the Aekkota Batu Health Center Working Area, North Labuhanbatu Regency. It is recommended to the Puskesmas Aekkota Batu to conduct routine flick checks every 3 months, carry out fogging and increase health promotion to the community on how to prevent DBD by implementing 3M plus in order to reduce the incidence of DBD.

Abstract

The many possible risks associated with laboratory work are unavoidable. This study aimed to determine and analyze hazards, risks, impacts, risk levels and occupational safety and health (OHS) controls in the physics and chemistry laboratories of the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OHS) Medan. This is a qualitative research method with phenomenological approach hazard identification using Task Risk Analysis method using AS/NZS 4360: 2004 semi-quantitative. The tolerable risk threshold in the chemistry lab was 52, priority 3 was 10, and major was 11. The only thing OHS controlled in the physics lab was the air conditioning system. The presence of SOP (work procedures), MSDS (material safety data sheet) documents, OHS signs, supervision, managerial support, and the use of PPE masks, gloves, long-hand lab coats, rubber shoes, and other safety measures were all necessary in chemistry labs. Expanding the space, adding SOP, installing ventilation are all suggested at the physics laboratorium, Adopting ANSI / AIHA Z9.5-2003 ventilation guidelines, changing or replacing processes with safer chemicals, providing OHS training, and wearing coveralls and glasses are all recommended in the chemistry laboratory.

Abstract

Work productivity is influenced by various factors, one of which is an effective work system. A good work system can provide a sense of security and comfort for workers. This study aims to analyze the relationship between work systems consisting of work motivation, work materials and productivity of facility inspection officers at the Kisaran Railway Station. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of 43 railway station facility inspectors, with the sampling technique using total sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire covering three main variables: work motivation (10 questions), work materials (9 questions), and work productivity (9 questions). Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression tests. The results of this study concluded that work motivation has no effect on work productivity. Work materials have a positive effect on work productivity. Highly motivated employees will strive to achieve good work productivity and actively contribute to achieving organizational goals.
