Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this research to evaluate the relevance of accounting information, particularly Earnings per Share (EPS), Return on Assets (ROA), and Non-Public Ownership (NPO), in investment decision-making. The relevance of accounting information is observed when the information presented in financial statements can influence stock prices and therefore affect user decision-making. Research Method – The research method used is quantitative method with a sample of 59 manufacturing companies from the basic and chemical industry sector. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression techniques to measure the impact of these variables on stock prices. Findings – The results of the study indicate that EPS and ROA have a significant influence on investment decisions, while Non-Public Ownership does not provide significant contributions. Implication – The implications of these findings underscore the importance of considering fundamental factors such as EPS and ROA in the investment decision-making process, while also taking into account the risks associated with Non-Public Ownership that can affect the relevance of financial statements. Keywords: Earnings Per Share (EPS), Investment Decisions, Non-Public Ownership, Relevance of Accounting Information, Return on Assets (ROA)

Abstract

Mathematics is an important science and has a lot to do with the development of other sciences. One of the essential topics in physics is linear equations of two variables. However, many students experience errors on this topic. The purpose of this study is to identify students' errors on the material of linear equations of two variables. The research is a descriptive study conducted on 83 students at SMPN 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat. The instrument used in this question is five description questions. This question has been validated and tested empirically. The five questions are suitable for research. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results showed that students made many errors in operations, concepts, and skills.

Abstract

This research examines the legal standing and statutory authority of the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan, OJK) to commence civil proceedings on behalf of consumers in Indonesia’s financial services sector, a mandate that has gained increasing relevance amid the expansion of complex financial products and digital delivery channels. Grounded in Law No. 21 of 2011 and its implementing regulations, OJK’s litigation power is conceptualised as a regulatory enforcement mechanism intended to address structural consumer disadvantages, strengthen institutional accountability, and promote compliance with market-conduct norms. The analysis situates this authority within broader doctrinal frameworks, including public interest litigation, administrative law principles, and regulatory enforcement theory. To provide comparative context, the article briefly contrasts OJK’s mandate with the enforcement powers of the United States Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), a leading model in consumer-focused financial regulation.  Using a normative juridical methodology, the article evaluates the practical effectiveness of OJK-initiated civil actions and compares them with alternative redress mechanisms, such as class actions. The findings indicate that despite a clear statutory foundation, OJK’s use of civil litigation remains limited by procedural uncertainties and institutional preferences for non-judicial approaches. Nevertheless, OJK-filed lawsuits hold significant potential to enhance remedial access, improve evidentiary processes, and create stronger deterrence against market misconduct. The study concludes that clearer procedural guidelines and strengthened institutional capacity are essential to optimise OJK’s role in consumer protection.

Abstract

Indonesia’s e-Court, mandatory since Supreme Court Regulation (Perma) No. 7/2022, hosts the world’s largest digital khulʿ (wife-initiated divorce) infrastructure, yet how algorithmic mediation reshapes women’s agency under Islamic family law remains underexamined. Current research on khulʿ typically examines it from the perspectives of classical fiqh or procedural efficiency, neglecting women's legal consciousness and the design of the platform itself. This study asks how Indonesian women negotiate sharia agency within a digital system that classifies experience into algorithmic categories. It involves a qualitative case study based on semi-structured interviews with five Indonesian women who completed e-Court khulʿ filings (2022–2024), alongside an analysis of platform interfaces, Perma regulations, and the Muhammadiyah Tarjih Fatwa. The data are analyzed through post-structural feminism, legal consciousness theory, and algorithmic legalism, maqāṣid al-sharīʿah (the objectives of Islamic law). The findings highlight a concept of algorithmic-muʿāmalah (transactional Islamic law), where women’s agency is shaped by partial, contextual negotiations rather than full autonomy: they reinterpret algorithmic inputs into sharia-based justifications, use free-text fields to resist in a parodic way, and strategically time procedural steps. Mediation through the platform is neither entirely oppressive nor liberating. Outcomes stratify by digital literacy, access to female religious counsel (ʿālimāt), and post-filing economic exposure. The study contributes algorithmic-muʿāmalah as a new analytical category, repositions female agency from the courtroom to the platform interface, and proposes reforms rooted in maqāṣid: female muftī (Islamic jurist) oversight, context-detection for psychological harm (ḍarar nafsānī), legal cause (ʿillah), and platform-level research aligned with SDG 5 and SDG 16.

Abstract

Human rights and social justice remain central issues in contemporary global discourse, often perceived as products of Western modernity. This perception has contributed to ongoing debates regarding their compatibility with religious traditions, particularly Islam. This study examines the Qur’anic foundations of human rights and social justice through a thematic and hermeneutical analysis of classical and contemporary tafsir literature. Employing qualitative library-based research and a tafs?r mawd?‘? approach, the study analyzes key Qur’anic concepts such as the right to life, human dignity, equality, freedom, justice, distributive responsibility, and ecological balance. The findings demonstrate that the Qur’an articulates a comprehensive ethical framework for human rights grounded in divine authority and universal human dignity. Classical exegetes emphasize the normative and legal dimensions of justice, while modern interpreters expand Qur’anic ethics to address pluralism, constitutionalism, welfare state principles, religious moderation, sustainability, and education. Rather than contradicting universal human rights, the Qur’anic worldview provides a moral and spiritual foundation that reinforces justice, inclusivity, and social responsibility. This study contributes to Qur’anic studies and human rights scholarship by highlighting the relevance of Islamic ethical principles in contemporary legal, social, and global sustainability debates. It affirms that Qur’anic interpretation can serve as a constructive partner in advancing an inclusive and equitable human rights discourse.
