Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and social development of class XI IA MAN 2 Model Medan Helvatia in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The method in this study is a quantitative method with a correlational research design. The population in this study were students of class XI IA MAN 2 Model Medan. Sampling in this study used random sampling using the slovin formula. The sample size is 85 students. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaire was obtained by product moment correlation and the reliability test was obtained by the Cronbach alpha test. Test the hypothesis using the product moment formula from pearson with the help of SPSS22 For Windows. The results of the analysis showed r = 0.628 and Rsquare = 0.386 and a significant value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Based on these results, the research hypothesis was put forward: "There is a relationship between emotional intelligence and students' social development

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the "Relationship Between Peer Social Support and Learning Independence of Grade VIII Students at MTs Negeri 2 Medan Academic Year 2022/2023". This study uses a quantitative approach with the correlation method. In this study, the population consisted of 106 students. Sampling in this study used random sampling, which was taken based on the slovin formula, namely as many as 84 students. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The validity of the instrument was obtained by using the product moment correlation formula, while the reliability of the instrument was obtained by using the Cronbach Alpha formula. Test the hypothesis using the Chi Square test with the help of SPSS IMB 25 for windows. The results of the analysis showed an Asymp.sig (2-sided) value of 0.000 for 84 respondents, so that the value of p <0.05, which means that there is a significant correlation between the variables of peer social support and learning independence

Abstract

Problems often experienced by parents and teachers in their efforts to handle children with special needs include limited supporting facilities, parenting and teaching skills that parents lack mastery, and limited time for assistance. Next, we need significant changes from all parties to develop innovation that focuses on children with special needs. In carrying out this effort, it is necessary to develop a new breakthrough that involves several parties in collaboration between parents, teachers, psychologists, health workers, physical therapists and so on, which is called social innovation. The development model used is the 4 D model from Thiagarajan, namely: definition stage, design stage, development stage, dissemination. By involving experts on children with special needs, policy makers, parents, teachers and academics. It is hoped that this research will have positive benefits for the development of scientists' knowledge about digital-based social innovation for services to children with special needs.

Abstract

Pada kegiatan pengabdian ini yang menjadi mitra adalah Forum Musyawarah Guru Bimbingan Konseling Kota Binjai, Sumatera Utara. Forum ini sangat membutuhkan pendampingan terkait dengan permasalahan rendahnya kompetensi guru Bimbingan Konseling dalam mengidentifikasi, melakukan need assesment, dan merancang program pembelajaran individual bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah. Terdapat beberapa masalah yang dihadapi oleh mitra yakni: 1) Terbatasnya akses untuk mendapatkan pelatihan mengenai pembelajaran anak berkebutuhan khusus; 2) Keberadaan siswa berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah umum; 3) Adanya keterbatasan guru dalam melakukan tidakan profesional sesuai kebutuhan siswa berkebutuhan khusus; dan 4) Tidak tersedianya panduan pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan konseling bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah. Pelaksanaan  pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode workshop untuk peningkatan kompetensi porfesional guru serta metode focus group discussion untuk pemanfaatan aplikasi rangkulabk sebagai bentuk inovasi sosial dalam pendidikan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Keberhasilan pengabdian ini dapat diukur berdasarkan luaran yang dihasilkan antara lain: peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam mengidentifikasi dan mengukur kebutuhan siswa berkebutuhan khusus; guru memiliki panduan dalam modifikasi kurikulum untuk pengembangan program pembelajaran individu bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus serta tersedianya program bimbingan konseling bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah.

Abstract

This research focuses on the challenges faced by students with Down syndrome in developing effective social interaction skills, which are often influenced by environmental limitations and the suboptimal role of support systems in schools. The study aims to analyze the role of school counselors as consultants, transmitters, and initiators in supporting the development of social interactions in students with Down syndrome. A descriptive research method with a qualitative approach was employed. The research subjects included school counselors as primary subjects, and class teachers and parents of students with Down syndrome as secondary subjects. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, and then analyzed using triangulation techniques through coding to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that the role of school counselors as consultants helps to provide strategic guidance to teachers and parents, the role as a transmitter function to convey relevant information and understanding about the students' needs, while the role as an initiator facilitates interactive activities that encourage the students' social skills. This study concludes that the role of school counselors is crucial in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for the development of social interactions in students with Down syndrome, ultimately contributing to the improvement of their quality of life. The latest information in this study implies that a more holistic and sustainable approach, both at school and at home, is needed to maximize the social potential of Down syndrome children.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of problem solving techniques group guidance on time managamenet learning of eighth grade students Abu Daud in SMP Islam Terpadu Nurul Fadhilah. This research method is a quantitative method with the type of experimental research, the design used in the study is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were 10 people from Class VIII Abu Daud. The data were collected using the time management learning scale. Data analysis techniques using Wilcoxon Test with the help of SPSS for Windows version 27. The results obtained an average pre-test with a score of 159.7 and an average post-test with a score of 176.1. Based on the results of pre-test and post-test, the difference in scores was 194 with a percentage of 19.4% so that there was an increase in student learning time management. While the results of the hypothesis test Asymmp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.005<0.05 with the criteria if the value is asymptotic. Sig. (2-tailed) obtained less than 0.05 then there is a significant difference in the level of learning time management before and after following the guidance Group problem solving techniques. H0 rejected and H1 accepted, it can be concluded that the results showed that there is an influence of problem solving techniques group guidance on learning time management of eighth grade students Abu Daud SMP it Nurul Fadhilah T.A 2023/2024.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh eksposur Korean Wave (Hallyu) terhadap adiksi alkohol pada remaja penggemar K-Pop. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kausal. Populasi dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 128 responden yang merupakan remaja penggemar K- Pop yang tergabung dalam komunitas Zerose dengan 97 responden sebagai sampel yang didapatkan melalui teknik random sampling dengan rumusSlovin. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen eksposur KoreanWave dengan 21 item valid dan reliabilitas sebesar 0,755 dan instrumen AUDIT(Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test) dengan 10 item valid dan reliabilitassebesar 0,427. Uji deskriptif pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat eksposur Korean Wave berada dalam kategori sedang hingga tinggi, sementaratingkat adiksi alkohol berada dalam kategori ringan hingga sedang, namunterdapat sebagian kecil responden yang menunjukkan adiksi alkohol pada kategori berat. Adapun hipotesis pada penelitian ini diuji menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana dengan persamaan regresi Y = −7,645 + 0,257X. Ini berarti bahwasetiap peningkatan satu nilai dalam eksposur Korean Wave akan meningkatkantingkat adiksi alkohol sebesar 0,257. Analisis regresi tersebut menunjukkanadanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara eksposur Korean Wave dan adiksi alkohol. Dengan kata lain, semakin tinggi eksposur yang diterima remaja terhadapbudaya Korea, semakin besarrisiko mereka mengalami adiksi alkohol.
