Abstract

Abstract Literature is a form of art that expresses human thoughts and feelings through the beauty of language, the originality of ideas and the depth of the message. Where literary psychology is a literary study that includes works as psychological creativity. The researchers were interested in analyzing the song "Give Us Childhood" by Remy Bandali using the literary psychology method, and the reason for the analysis from the perspective of literary psychology is that it found an internal conflict experienced by the characters in the song. The research method used in this study is descriptive analysis, which describes the forms of internal structures of Palestinian children in the lyrics of the song "Give Us Childhood" written by Remy Bandali. Abstract

This This study compares the calligraphic rules of two renowned Arabic calligraphers, Muhammad Shawqi and Hashim Muhammad Al-Baghdadi, with a focus on their treatment of the Naskh script. Using a comparative qualitative approach, the research analyzes their methods for forming both isolated and connected letters. The findings highlight key stylistic differences: Shawqi favored elongated, intricate letterforms suited for high-quality manuscript production, while Al-Baghdadi employed a simplified and systematic style aimed at educational accessibility. Despite these differences, both shared pedagogical practices, such as beginning lessons with the prayer "Rabbi yassir wa la tu’assir" and starting instruction with isolated letters. The study concludes that Shawqi and Al-Baghdadi played complementary roles in the evolution of Arabic calligraphy—preserving its artistic excellence and expanding its reach through education. This analysis offers new insights into the stylistic and instructional legacies of both figures within the broader context of Arabic calligraphic tradition. مستخلص تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إجراء مقارنة منهجية بين قواعد الخط عند اثنين من أشهر الخطاطين العرب المعاصرين، وهما محمد شوقي وهاشم محمد البغدادي، مع التركيز على معالجتهما لخط النسخ. ومن خلال منهج نوعي مقارن، تتناول الدراسة تحليل الأساليب الفنية التي اعتمدها كل منهما في تشكيل الحروف المفردة والمترابطة، وذلك في سياق تطور هذا الفن العربي الأصيل. وقد كشفت النتائج عن وجود فروق جوهرية في الأسلوب الفني بين الخطاطين؛ حيث اتسم أسلوب شوقي بطول الحروف وتعقيد أشكالها، مما جعله مناسبًا لإنتاج المخطوطات ذات الجودة العالية، في حين تميز أسلوب البغدادي بالبساطة والنظام، مما جعله أكثر ملاءمة للأغراض التعليمية ونقل المهارات الخطية للمبتدئين. ورغم هذه الفروق، يشترك الخطاطان في جملة من الممارسات التربوية، من أبرزها افتتاح الدروس بالدعاء المأثور "ربّ يسّر ولا تعسّر"، والبدء بتعليم الحروف المفردة. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن محمد شوقي وهاشم البغدادي قد أدّيا دورين تكامليين في مسيرة تطوّر الخط العربي؛ فبينما ساهم الأول في الحفاظ على القيمة الفنية والجمالية لهذا الفن، أسهم الثاني في نشره وتيسير تعليمه على نطاق أوسع. وتوفر هذه الدراسة رؤية تحليلية معمقة للإرث الفني والتعليمي لكلا الخطاطين، ضمن الإطار العام لتقاليد الخط العربي وتطوّره المعاصر

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the meaning of objects in the triangle theory in the comic “juḥā wal malik” according to Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic perspective, namely on objects including icons, indixes and symbols. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method, which is a research method by collecting data to be analyzed in accordance with the truth through a certain approach, namely Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic approach, namely the relationship between representamen, object and interpretant. The results of the research obtained by researchers are object signs (icons, indexes and symbols) in the comic “juḥā wal malik” including: “The King and the Commander” - ‘Admiration and Gifts’ - ‘Juha and the Guards’ - ‘Honesty and Escort’ - ‘Juha and Juha's Condition’ - ‘The King's Astonishment at Juha's Safety and Juha survives the challenge - ”Juha's Confidence and the King's Disbelief” - “Juha's Honesty and the King's Denial” - “The People and the King” - “Food and Hunger” - “Juha's Deception and the King's Deception” - “The King's Ingenuity and Juha's Ingenuity” and all these sentences are sentences that contain elements of the meaning of ingenuity in comic stories.      هدفُ هذا البحث هو معرفةُ معنى الأشياء في نظرية المثلث في قصة الكوميك «جحا والملك» وفقًا لمنظور السيميائيات عند تشارلز ساندرز بيرس، أي في الأشياء التي تشمل الأيقونات والفهارس والرموز. وأمّا المنهجُ المستخدم في هذا البحث فهو المنهجُ التحليلي الوصفي، وهو منهجٌ بحثيّ يقوم بجمع البيانات لتحليلها وفق الحقيقة من خلال مقاربة معيّنة، وهي مقاربة السيميائيات عند تشارلز ساندرز بيرس، التي تبحث العلاقة بين الممثِّل (Representamen) والموضوع (Object) والمفسِّر (Interpretant). وأظهرت نتائجُ البحث التي توصّل إليها الباحثُ وجودَ علاماتٍ موضوعية (أيقونات، فهارس، ورموز) في قصة الكوميك «جحا والملك» تشمل: «الملك والقائد» – «الإعجاب والهدايا» – «جحا والحراس» – «الصدق والمرافقة» – «جحا وحال جحا» – «دهشةُ الملك من سلامة جحا ونجاة جحا من التحدي» – «ثقةُ جحا بنفسه وعدم تصديق الملك» – «صدق جحا وإنكار الملك» – «الشعب والملك» – «الطعام والجوع» – «خداع جحا وخداع الملك» – «دهاء الملك ودهاء جحا». وجميع هذه العبارات هي عباراتٌ تحتوي على عناصر معنى الدهاء في قصة الكوميك.   Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna objek dalam teori segitiga pada komik “Juḥā wal Malik” menurut perspektif semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce, yaitu pada objek yang meliputi ikon, indeks, dan simbol. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif, yaitu metode penelitian dengan mengumpulkan data untuk dianalisis sesuai kebenaran melalui pendekatan tertentu, yakni pendekatan semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce yang membahas hubungan antara representamen, objek, dan interpretant. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh peneliti menunjukkan adanya tanda objek (ikon, indeks, dan simbol) dalam komik “Juḥā wal Malik” yang meliputi: “Raja dan Panglima” – “Kekaguman dan Hadiah” – “Juha dan Para Pengawal” – “Kejujuran dan Pengawalan” – “Juha dan Keadaan Juha” – “Kekaguman Raja atas Keselamatan Juha dan Juha Selamat dari Tantangan” – “Kepercayaan Diri Juha dan Ketidakpercayaan Raja” – “Kejujuran Juha dan Penyangkalan Raja” – “Rakyat dan Raja” – “Makanan dan Rasa Lapar” – “Tipu Daya Juha dan Tipu Daya Raja” – “Kecerdikan Raja dan Kecerdikan Juha”. Seluruh rangkaian ini merupakan bagian dari kalimat yang mengandung unsur makna kecerdikan dalam cerita komik.

Abstract

Each literary work must contain the internal elements, writing cannot be called a literary work, because these elements are important in the formation of the literary work. In this poem expresses the feelings of the poet through his elements. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the elements of poetry in it, because knowledge of the analysis of the structure is the elements of the interior, using the theory of the analysis of the structure of this poem. One of the literary works is the poem "I will tell you I love you", a kind of literary genre in which the poet depicts his experience in balanced words. As for the research method used in writing this research, it is the descriptive analytical method, as it describes and analyzes the poem with the theory of structure with its elements. To collect information and data related to this research, we rely on the library method. By reviewing the literary and linguistic scientific books related to this research. Among the results reached by the researcher is that the structure in the poem is four, namely, the subject is the love of women, the emotion is longing, happiness, and fear, and the imagination that the poet depicts is the graphic imagination, the compositional imagination, and the style.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Gontor 8 Aceh is one of the Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia that implements an Arabic learning system using modern or direct methods. The teacher at Pondok Gontor 8 is assigned to impart the Arabic language with the best possible foundation. The efforts of teachers to improve the ability to speak Arabic to students are very important. Researchers take the type of research based on field studies, or the type of research used for this research is analytical and descriptive research, which is a method that describes the condition of information and conditions related to certain problems with a qualitative approach, to get data on theoretical values, not numbers from statistics. The data in this study are analytical and descriptive, consisting of written and spoken words, as well as from observational behavior. The data needed and their sources in this study are: An overview of Arabic language learning at Pondok Pesantren Gontor 8. Among the teachers' efforts to improve the Arabic language of the Gontor 8 Islamic boarding school students are as follows: bringing teaching aids and explaining their meaning, giving and memorizing new vocabulary and arranging them into sentences, holding conversations while studying and practicing speaking Arabic in front of students. imitate new sentences and words from the teacher with the correct pronunciation of Arabic words.

Abstract

This study analyzes Naguib Mahfouz’s novel Miramar through the lens of existential feminism, focusing on the character of Zahra representing a young woman who struggles to free herself from the social, psychological, and cultural constraints that limit her freedom. This research employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach by examining Zahra’s actions, dialogues, internal monologues, and character development throughout the story. Simone de Beauvoir’s existential feminist theory is applied to explore themes of freedom, self-determination, and resistance against patriarchal hegemony. The findings reveal that Zahra’s rejection of an arranged marriage, her courage to leave her hometown, and her commitment to working at the Miramar pension symbolizes her existential struggle. Zahra also faces intimidation, discrimination, and harassment from male characters, yet she continues to maintain her dignity and control over her life. This underscores her struggle to gain bodily autonomy, identity, and a future of her own. By depicting Zahra’s determination to achieve economic independence and personal development, Mahfouz offers a social critique of gender inequality and the restricted roles of women in post-revolutionary Egyptian society. This study concludes that Miramar is not merely a portrait of Zahra’s personal conflict but also a powerful commentary on class, identity, and women’s struggle to create the meaning of their own lives. The study highlights the relevance of existential feminism in understanding the dynamics of women’s freedom and resistance in modern literature.
