Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine library facilities, the level of interest in reading and the effect of limited library facilities on students' reading interest at MAN Curup Rejang Lebong. This study used a quantitative research approach which showed the effect of variable X on variable Y. The population in this study were 541 students of MAN Curup Rejang Lebong. The sample in this study was 54 people or 10%. Data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires and documentation. While technical data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis techniques using Simple Linear Regression. With the results of the study showing that the library facilities in Curup Rejang Lebong MAN were in the good category with a percentage rate of 79.80 percent. The reading interest level of students at MAN Curup Rejang Lebong is in the high category with a percentage rate of 79.76 percent. This can be proven by the results of simple linear regression, namely the results obtained f count> f table, namely 71.300> 4.08, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of library facilities on students' reading interest at MAN Curup Rejang Lebong.

Abstract

The role of the library of SMAN 1 Rejang Lebong in the Rejang cultural heritage container with the Rejang Corner which contains various information on Rejang culture. Where the library of SMAN 1 Rejang Lebong is located in the middle of the Rejang tribal environment. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The results showed that the library of SMAN 1 Rejang Lebong has carried out one of the cultural functions. The Rejang Corner Service is located on the 2nd floor of the SMAN 1 Rejang Lebong Library. The activities from the rejang corner are (1) the display of rejang traditional goods, (2) the rejang corner is included in the reference service, (3) the obstacles include lack of funds, lack of support from related parties, and difficulty in getting goods. related to rejang customs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the iPusnas application as a learning resource by IAIN Curup Islamic Library and Information Science students and to determine the inhibiting factors in the use of the iPusnas Application as a Learning Resource by IAIN Curup Islamic Library and Information Science Students. This study used a type of descriptive qualitative research using interview, observation, and documentationtechniques. The informants in this study are two students of Islamic Library and Information Science class of 2020, two students of IslamicLibrary and Information Science class of 2021, and two students of Islamic Library and Information Science class of 2023. From the results of the research, researchers can find that the use of the iPusnas application as a learning resource by students of Islamic Library and Information Science when viewed from the aspect of usefulness and ease in learning activities is still not optimal. Because references to books, journals, and articles are still limited and there is still a lack of user understanding in using existing features to find learning references. So users can't find the books, journals, and articles they want. But even so, users feel that it has been helped by utilizing the iPusnas application, users can find other books as their learning references. The inhibiting factors in the use of the IPUSNAS application as a learning resource are divided into internal factors and external factors. The internal factor is that this application still has many errors or system errors. The collection available on the iPusnas application is still small. And the external factor, namely the user's regular internet connection that is unstable or slow, is an inhibiting factor in the use of the iPurnas application.

Abstract

This is a new author guidelines and article template of Tik Ilmeu: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi since the year 2017 publication. Article should be started by the title of the article followed by the author's name and affiliation address and abstract. This abstract section should be of size 11 pt and number of words 150-200. Special for the abstract section, please use left margin of 35 mm, right margin of 30 mm. The single spacing should be used between lines in this article. If the article is written in Indonesian, the abstract should be typed in Indonesian and English. Meanwhile, if the article is written in English, the abstract should be typed in English only. The abstract should be typed as concisely as possible and should be composed of: problem statement, method, scientific finding results, and short conclusion. The abstract should only be typed in one paragraph and one-column format.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat keterampilan literasi mahasiswa program studi IlmuAl-Qur’an dan Tafsir angkatan 2022 dan 2023, fakultas Ushuluddin, Adab dan Dakwah IAIN Curup dalammengakses informasi berdasarkan model The Seven Pillars. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitiankuantitatif, dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner yang disusun berdasarkan model TheSeven Pillars oleh SCONUL melalui Google Form. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer. Populasi dalampenelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa aktif program studi Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir angkatan 2022dan 2023 yang berjumlah 39 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keterampi-lan literasi mahasiswa Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir angkatan 2022 dan 2023 dalam mengakses sumberinformasi berdasarkan model The Seven Pillars sudah baik, namun perlu peningkatan dalam beberapabidang. Nilai rata-rata pada variabel Identify adalah 3,18 (baik), Scope 3,26 (baik sekali), Plan 3,26 (baiksekali), Gather 3,20 (baik), Evalute 3,12 (baik), Manage 3,18 (baik), dan Present 3,15 (baik).Kata Kunci : The Seven Pillars, Mahasiswa, Data Primer, Literasi Informasi.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Information Literacy Analysis of Islamic Library and Information Science Students Class of 2022-2023 through Information Search". The aim of this research is to find out how the information literacy skills of Islamic Library and Information Science students class 2022-2023 are in searching for information through information browsing. The method in this research uses descriptive methods with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The population in this research is students of Islamic Library and Information Science, Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah, Curup State Islamic Institute, class of 2022-2023. The questionnaire was distributed to 40 respondents. The results obtained from this research show that the information literacy abilities of Islamic Library and Information Science Undergraduate Study Program students class of 2022-2023 through information searching can be categorized as high, namely with a score of 3.10. In the empowering method 8, it can be seen from the processes of identifying, exploring, selecting, organizing, creating, presenting, assessing and applying.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi tantangan dan peluang Program Studi Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi Islam (IPII) IAIN Curup dalam mencetak pustakawan profesional di era 5.0. Kekuatan IPII IAIN Curup meliputi pengajaran berbasis keislaman, kompetensi dosen, dan hubungan baik antara dosen dan mahasiswa. Namun, terdapat kelemahan dalam integrasi kurikulum, penguasaan TIK, dan bahan ajar. Peluang perbaikan termasuk pengembangan bahan ajar, peningkatan kompetensi mahasiswa, dan kerja sama dengan berbagai lembaga. Strategi mencakup peningkatan kurikulum dan penguatan kemitraan. This research evaluates the challenges and opportunities of IAIN Curup's Islamic Library and Information Science (IPII) Study Program in producing professional librarians in the 5.0 era. The strengths of IAIN Curup's IPII include Islamic-based teaching, lecturer competence, and good relations between lecturers and students. However, there are weaknesses in curriculum integration, ICT mastery, and teaching materials. Opportunities for improvement include the development of teaching materials, improvement of student competencies, and cooperation with various institutions. Strategies include improving the curriculum and strengthening partnerships.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of user needs for graduates of the Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program, Curup State Islamic Institute, Curup State Islamic Institute, based on general competencies stipulated by the Regulation of the Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2016. This study uses quantitative methods. Quantitative data collection in this study used a questionnaire or questionnaire method. Furthermore, the authors use the Likert’s scale as a reference basis for determining the level of need. The results of the data obtained that the competency requirements needed by the school library in Rejang Lebong regarding the ability to carry out library material development management, the ability to carry out library management is needed, the ability to provide library services and the ability to implement library information systems are needed, the ability to carry out the development of the librarian profession, the ability to organize the library materials, and the ability to preserve library collections are also very needed.

Abstract

Profesionalisme pustakawan tidak hanya dilihat seberapa lama ia bekerja sebagai seorang pustakawan maupun dari jenjang pendidikannya. Yang perlu dilihat dari profesionalisme pustakawan adalah kompetensi pustakawan dan kreativitas yang nyata dapat memberikan kemudahan kepada pemustaka dalam mendapatkan informasi. Artikel ini berusaha untuk memberikan pandangan mengenai profesionalisme pustakawan melalui subject guide, dan peran pustakawan dalam penelusuran informasi bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian studi pustaka atau literatur. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui analisa buku, website, dan karya ilmiah yang terkait dengan judul. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa (1) pustakwan sebagai konsultan informasi bagi pemustaka memberikan bimbingan informasi kepada pemustaka dalam mencari informasi yang dibutuhkan (2) Subject guide sebagai bentuk kreativitas pustakawan dalam memberikan pelayanan serta sebagai alat pembuktian profesionalisme pustakawan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the efforts of the Islamic Library and Information Science Program (Prodi IPII) at IAIN Curup in creating professional and competitive librarians for the era of 5.0. This research is descriptive and qualitative. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that Prodi IPII has several strengths, such as an adaptive curriculum in line with current advancements, competent and dedicated lecturers, and various student competence development programs. However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed, such as integrating Islamic values into the curriculum and ensuring all lecturers are proficient in information technology. Opportunities for the program include the need for librarians in Rejang Lebong Regency and support from national standards for school/madrasah libraries. The main challenges are adapting to technological developments and meeting the public's information needs in the digital era. To achieve professional and competitive librarians in the era of 5.0, the Islamic Library and Information Science Program at IAIN Curup implements several strategies: 1) Curriculum Development, 2) Improving Competence of Lecturers and Students, 3) Instilling Character Values, 4) Enhancing the Quality of Learning, 5) Developing Cooperation Networks, 6) Increasing Scientific Publications, and 7) Improving Facilities and Infrastructure
