Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form and function of editorial text implicature and its use as teaching material in class XII SMA. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the subject of the editorial text of Media Indonesia and the object of the text structure, form and function of the implicature. In this study, data collection was carried out using note-taking techniques. Then the data is categorized and performs discourse analysis. From the research that has been done, it is found that 26 editorial texts are included in conventional implicature forms. Then found 117 implicature function data consisting of 44 representative implicature function data, 56 directive implicature function data, fifteen expressive implicature function data, and two commissive implicature function data. The results of the research on the forms and functions of the implicatures of the editorial text of the October 2021 edition of Media Indonesia and recommendations for teaching editorial texts in class XII SMA are used as teaching materials in the form of handouts.

Abstract

Education The current curriculum is student-centered and reflects pancasila, as is the Merdeka Curriculum (KURMER). This may be a good choice for you and your family to use with your own hands. The new research used by researchers is quantitative in this research using a similar experimental mode. The design has a control group, but it cannot function fully to control the outside variables that affect the carrying out of experiments. The class chosen by researchers in the xi MPLB 2 class as experiment class and xi to 5 as the control class chosen based on the ability of learners in the low category. The discussion of the results obtained from the research is a quantitative data of the pretest and posttest of experimental and control classes. Data obtained and analyzed using SPSS 29 for Windows. Having a maximum operating capacity of 95 and maximum control of 88, the sedan has a minimum mileage of 77, maximum deviation of 4,725 and 3,039. The reason for this analysis is that the information is different, and people who have the opportunity to use it have the right to use the menu to paraphrase arguments that are not included in the discussion.

Abstract

Speech acts are an important aspect used in student discussion activities in class. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the use of speech acts spoken by students so that the learning objectives can be achieved. This study aims to describe the types of speech acts of students in discussion activities in class X Indonesian language learning at SMKS Texar Karawang in the 2019/2020 academic year. Research on Analysis of Student Speech in Discussion Activities in Class X Indonesian Language Learning at SMKS Texar Karawang Academic Year 2019/2020 is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were students of class X RPL 3 and X TKR 4 at SMKS Texar Karawang for the 2019/2020 school year in class discussion activites. The object of this research is speech acts in class discussion of class X RPL 3 and X TKR 4 students. The techniques used in collecting data are using field recording techniques and recording techniques. The data analysis technique uses three stages, namely providing data, analyzing data, and presenting the results of data analysis. The research results can be described as follows. First, there are several types of speech acts found. Based on the objective of the act from the speaker’s point of view, it is found that the speech acts of locus, illocution, and perlocution are found. Locus speech acts include the form of news, questions and orders. Illocutionary speech acts include assertive, directive, expressive, commissive and declarative illocution. The types of speech acts that predominantly emerge from the students speech are the locus of speech acts in the form of commands, questions and assertive illocution. This type of speech act stands out and is widely used by students in discussions to ask, command, inform, state, defend, argue, suggest, say thank you, say hello, offer, do something and make people interested.

Abstract

The Minyakita brand is a registered trademark for palm cooking oil, owned by the Director General of Domestic Trade under the Ministry of Trade. Since its introduction, Minyakita has gained popularity in the market and has become a widely used cooking oil by the public. The research focuses on the media coverage of Minyakita, specifically analyzing online platforms like Kompas.com, Pikiranrakyat.com, and Tribunnews.com using Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis. The primary objective of this study is to employ Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis on news articles related to Minyakita from January to February 2023, published on Kompas.com, Pikiranrakyat.com, and Tribunnews.com. This analysis is intended to provide insights that can be utilized as instructional content for teaching news text comprehension to seventh-grade junior high school students. A qualitative approach with descriptive methods is employed for this study. Data collection involves observing and noting 15 relevant news articles from the specified time period and media outlets. A framing analysis guide, aligned with Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's perspectives, is used as the research instrument. Data analysis consists of data reduction, presentation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal both similarities and differences among the online media platforms. All three platforms adhere to a complete script structure, incorporating the 5W+1H elements and citing the same source. However, discrepancies arise in their thematic structures. Kompas.com, Pikiranrakyat.com, and Tribunnews.com do not share the same wording when emphasizing the news messages. The insights obtained from Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis of the Minyakita news coverage from January to February 2023 in the mentioned online media outlets are recommended for crafting news text handouts suitable for seventh-grade junior high school students. These teaching materials can facilitate the comprehension and analysis of news texts in the classroom setting.

Abstract

This research aims to describe, (1) the use of language styles in the weekly Jawa Pos short stories, and (2) the language styles that tend to or appear most frequently in the weekly Jawa Pos short stories. To achieve this goal, researchers used a qualitative descriptive research design. The subject of this research is short stories in the February 2023 edition of the weekly Jawa Pos newspaper. The object of the research is the use of language style in the short stories of the weekly Jawa Pos newspaper. The method used to collect data is the documentation method. The results of this research show that: (1) the language styles in the Jawa Pos weekly short stories are very diverse. There are 20 types of language styles, namely imagery, metaphor, personification, antithesis, pleonasm, anticipation, correction, hyperbole, climax, paradox, euphemism, antonomasia, metonomia, paralism, anaphora, mesodilopsis, epanalepsis, epizeuksis, assonnsi, and tautotes. (2) the language style that is dominant or often appears in the short stories of the Jawa Pos Online News Portal, namely, the hyperbole language style totaling 16 data.

Abstract

This thesis research is about the use of serial image media in improving biographical text writing skills for class X students at SMK Negeri 1 Rawamerta. The aim of this research is to determine the use of serial image media in learning so that it can improve the skills of class X students at SMK Negeri 1 Rawamerta in writing biographical texts. The research method used is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental research type and the research design used is nonequivalent. The aim is to compare the learning outcomes of the two classes used as research samples, namely MPLB 1 class as the experimental class and TO 1 as the control class. In this research, there is an initial test (pretest) to determine students' initial abilities and a final test (posttest) to determine student learning outcomes after being given treatment. The treatment took the form of serial image media for the experimental class, while the control class had conventional learning. The results of research carried out with the help of the SPSS version 26 for Windows program show that the experimental class and control class have different learning outcomes. It is known that the average pretest result for the experimental class is 42.53 and the control class is 36.64, so that the average posttest result for the experimental class is 82.31 while the control class is 61.58. Based on the post-test average, this means that the experimental class is superior to the control class, and there is a significant increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class. Based on the results above, writing skills using serial image media can improve compared to learning before using image media or conventional learning.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini mempelajari sebuah karya fiksi memiliki banyak manfaat, yaitu seperti siswa dapat mengetahui dan mengenal bacaan fiksi seperti halnya siswa dapat melatih daya pikir dan meningkatkan kreativitas, membangun rasa empati, dan sosial pada siswa, oleh karena itu karya fiksi yang dipelajari siswa di sekolah berbentuk cerita pendek dan novel. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna denotasi dan konotasi yang terdapat dalam buku cerpen Pasukan Jumat berbagi serta bahan sumber bahan ajar handout kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 3 Rengasdengklok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan tinjauan pustaka atau buku sebagai sarananya. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan catat serta menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bentuk makna denotasi dan konotasi pada buku cerpen Pasukan Jumat Berbagi, yang didapatkan dari hasil analisis bentuk makna denotasi dan konotasi selanjutnya disusun oleh penulis sebagai bahan ajar handout pada kelas VII. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai pendukung dan referensi bahan ajar tambahan. Oleh karena itu, bahan ajar handout dapat dipakai dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dan pemanfaatannya dapat digunakan di SMP Negeri 3 Rengasdengklok.

Abstract

Bahasa memiliki peran penting dalam keberhasilan komunikasi, terutama dalam menciptakan kesepahaman makna antara penutur dan petutur. Salah satu tantangan dalam komunikasi adalah perbedaan pemaknaan yang dapat menyebabkan kesalahpahaman, khususnya dalam tuturan yang mengandung makna tersirat atau implikatur percakapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis implikatur percakapan dan fungsi implikatur percakapan pada acara Kompleks Kiky di YouTube Kiky Saputri. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi, simak, dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua jenis implikatur percakapan dalam acara Kompleks Kiky, yaitu implikatur percakapan umum dan implikatur percakapan khusus. Selain itu, ditemukan beberapa fungsi implikatur percakapan, yakni fungsi asertif, direktif, komisif, dan ekspresif. Kesimpulannya, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa implikatur percakapan memiliki peran penting dalam komunikasi dan dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar teks anekdot di kelas X.
