Abstract

Tetebatu Village is a Tourism Village that practices sustainable tourism through the implementation of Community-Based Tourism. The establishment of a Community-Based Tourism Tourism Village can be assessed using the Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC) theory. To enhance tourism development, a marketing plan aligned with the different stages of the TALC theory can be used. The objective of this study is to ascertain and evaluate the status of Tetebatu Tourism Village using the TALC theory, and thereafter devise a suitable marketing strategy aligned with the various phases of the TALC model. This research employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, specifically focusing on investigating the life cycle of Tetebatu Village. The research utilizes primary data and secondary data as the types of data. The findings indicated that Tetebatu Village is currently in the developmental stage, marked by the growing participation of various stakeholders, including both the local community and the government. Considering the location of Tetebatu Tourism Village in TALC, the recommended marketing approach would involve implementing programming and promotion strategies. Additional marketing methods include implementing cost leadership by delivering reasonable prices, differentiating the tourism items being sold, and targeting certain segments.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism activities involve interactions between local communities and tourists. One of the concepts used in sustainable tourism development is Community-Based Tourism. This concept requires the contribution and active participation of local communities in tourism development. The research aims to explain how the concept of sustainable tourism through the Community-Based Tourism approach as an effort in community economic development. This research is a type of qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The ethnographic approach is intended to reveal the meaning of the behavior or actions of a group of people related to the historical and social and cultural background. The form of community participation in tourism activities carried out in Tetebatu Tourism Village is more about the energy, thoughts, and expertise possessed by each community member. Each community member is involved in existing tourism groups such as tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis), culinary provider groups, farmer groups, homestay groups, livestock groups, arts groups, craftsmen groups, and tour guide groups.

Abstract

In the implementation of Education that takes place in schools, teachers play a very significant role. In this case, it describes the results of research in one of the educational institutions at Madrasah Aliyah Yaqin Pemondah, the importance of the educational administration system to be implemented as one of the benchmarks for the quality of education, especially in the teaching and learning process, but in its implementation it is still not optimal. This study aims to answer the problem of the educational administration system in improving the quality of education by using descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that it is necessary to organize the educational administration system to improve the quality of education, including (1) management of the teaching and learning process, (2) evaluation plans (3) curriculum management, (4) management of personnel, (5) management of facilities (6) financial management, (7) student services, (8) cooperation in relations with the community, and (9) a conducive academic climate in the madrasah.

Abstract

The implementation of Village-Owned Enterprises has not been fully implemented by all villages in Indonesia in accordance with Law No. 6/2014. This activity intends to provide training for managers of Village-Owned Enterprises in Uiasa Village, Semau District, Kupang Regency. Data collection methods are Focus Group Discussion (FGD), unstructured interviews. The results of the activity show that the management of resources carried out by the Uiasa Village-Owned Enterprises is not optimal so that assistance will be carried out to strengthen the organizational structure and accelerate the potential of the economic sectors it manages.

Abstract

Educational inequality in Indonesia is often influenced by socioeconomic differences and the distribution of educational facilities, which is the focus of the implementation of the zoning system in Oebobo sub-district, Kupang city, in accordance with Permendikbud No. 14/2018. This study aims to evaluate the level of accessibility to schools at different levels of education-Kindergarten, primary, junior secondary and senior secondary-and analyze the impact of the zoning system on this accessibility. Using mixed methods, this study combines quantitative data from questionnaires with qualitative data from field surveys to get a comprehensive picture of distance, time, cost, type of transportation and road conditions. The results show that kindergartens have the highest accessibility score (21) and fall into the very adequate category, while primary, junior and senior high schools obtain lower scores but remain in the adequate category (15-18). Road damage such as potholes and grain dislodgement had a significant effect on the accessibility score. Based on these results, it is recommended that the zoning system should still be implemented to ensure equitable distribution of students and reduce the stigma of favorite schools. In addition, it is necessary to map transportation routes, improve road conditions, and update zoning maps to meet the needs and latest developments in Oebobo Sub-district.

Abstract

In today's digital era, information technology has influenced various aspects of life, including financial transaction methods. Digital payments are one practical solution to simplify transactions and reduce the use of cash. One of the increasingly popular digital payment methods in Indonesia is QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard). QRIS is a QR code standard for digital payments that makes it easier for consumers and business actors to make transactions. However, there are still many Al Ma'shum High School teachers who do not fully understand and utilize this technology. Therefore, counseling is needed to improve the knowledge and skills of Al Ma'shum High School Teachers in using QRIS. The methods used in this activity are socialization, education and Q&A. Counseling on digital payment methods using QRIS is expected to increase the understanding and adoption of this technology for Al Ma'shum High School teachers. With this activity, it is hoped that Al Ma'shum High School teachers who have businesses can utilize QRIS optimally, so that financial transactions become more efficient and secure. Salah satu metode pembayaran digital yang semakin populer di Indonesia adalah QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard). Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu sosialisasi, edukasi dan tanya jawab. Penyuluhan tentang metode pembayaran digital menggunakan QRIS diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan adopsi teknologi ini bagi guru-guru SMA Al Ma’shum. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, diharapkan guru-guru SMA Al Ma’shum yang memiliki usaha dapat memanfaatkan QRIS secara maksimal, sehingga transaksi keuangan menjadi lebih efisien dan aman. Abstract

The scientific approach based on Outdoor Study provides an innovative alternative in geography learning by utilizing the environment as a direct learning resource. This study aims to determine the effect of the scientific approach based on Outdoor Study on students' spatial thinking skills. The research design used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of the study were students of grade XI S.1 and XI S.2 at SMA Negeri 2 Kupang City. The instrument used was a spatial thinking ability test validated by experts. Data analysis used an independent sample t-test through SPSS 16.00 for Windows. The test results showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05, so it is concluded that there is a significant effect of the scientific approach based on Outdoor Study on students' spatial thinking skills. These findings indicate that geography learning through direct interaction with the surrounding environment can improve spatial thinking skills significantly.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify supporting and inhibiting factors from an internal and external perspective in the development of Cingcoleng Cave Spiritual tourism using SWOT analysis. Data was obtained through a survey involving visitors and stakeholders at Cingcoleng Cave. SWOT analysis is carried out to assess strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats from internal and external perspectives. The results of this research show that in (1). Internal shows that the total strength is 2.329 compared to the weakness of 0.692. Meanwhile in (2). External opportunities have a total of 2.272 compared to threats of 0.545. based on the coordinates, it is in the area of strength and opportunity, which means that Cingcoleng Cave Spiritual tourism is in quadrant I. The strategy that must be implemented in this condition is to support an aggressive growth policy (Growth Oriented strategy). The focus of this strategy is to use the strengths of tourism to take advantage of various opportunities. The conclusions of this research indicate that the development of spiritual tourism in Cingcoleng Cave can be optimized by strengthening supporting facilities and increasing promotion through collaboration with the government and other related parties.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism activities involve interactions between local community members and tourists. One of the concepts applied in sustainable tourism development is Community-Based Tourism. This concept emphasizes the contribution and active participation of local communities in developing the tourism industry. The research method employed is qualitative, utilizing field research. Data analysis techniques follow the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Community participation in tourism activities in Waturaka Village primarily involves labor, expertise, and skills contributed by each resident. Residents participating in tourism activities form groups such as tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis), farming groups, homestay groups, art groups, craftspeople groups, and tour guide groups.
