Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women is still a global problem, almost half of all pregnant women throughout the world experience anemia. Ummi Hani Mother and Children Hospital is one of the referral hospitals for mothers and children in Purbalingga that provides the antenatal care service. This research aimed to identify the determinants of anemia in pregnant women at Ummi Hani Mother and Children Hospital, Purbalingga. This research was an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design. The total sample was 100 pregnant women. Data sources were obtained from medical records, parturition registers, and cohorts of pregnant women at Ummi Hani Mother and Children Hospital. Primary data collection used a structured questionnaire. Bivariate analysis used chi square and/or Fisher exact, and multivariate analysis used logistic regression. This research found that 51% of pregnant women suffered from anemia. The results of multivariate analysis showed that educational level (p value=0.002; OR=5.07; 95% CI=1.79-14.37) and employment status (p value=0.045; OR=2.73; 95% CI=1.02-7.29) were determinants of anemia in pregnant women. This research highlights importance of improving health promotion regarding dangers of anemia and prevention measures such as consuming nutritious and varied foods at affordable prices which is focused on groups of low-educated and unemployed pregnant women.

Abstract

Family is a factor that has a big impact on compliance because it will motivate sufferers to be more confident when dealing with the health problems they are experiencing. This study aims to determine the relationship between support provided by the family and compliance with hypertension treatment in elderly prolanis patients at Tambak 1 and 2 Community Health Centers. The study design used was cross-sectional analytical observation. The research began in April-May 2023 at Tambak 1 and 2 Community Health Centers and was conducted on 92 patients. Data were collected using a questionnaire and Spearman's Rho testing was carried out. The results of the study showed a value of p = 0.002 (p < 0.05), which means that there is a significant relationship between family support and compliance with taking medication for elderly prolanis patients at Tambak 1 and 2 Community Health Centers. The correlation coefficient (r) was obtained at 0.321 and the direction of the relationship obtained a positive r value, meaning that the more the family supports the sufferer, the higher the degree of compliance with treatment. The conclusion that can be drawn is that compliance with hypertension treatment is closely related to the support provided by family members of elderly prolanis patients at Tambak 1 and 2 Community Health Centers. The Community Health Center can provide information, education or health counseling to hypertension prolanis participants about the importance of hypertension treatment compliance and the role of the family. in providing support to maintain stable blood pressure in prolanis patients.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are the leading cause of global death. The Non-Communicable Diseases Community Health Post (Posbindu PTM) aims to prevent and control NCDs, but utilization at the South Purwokerto Community Health Center remains low. The average attendance rate at each Posbindu was only 2.6 %, far below the 100% target. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the utilization of Posbindu PTM in the region. Methods: This study analyzes the influence of variables such as gender, education level, employment status, income, knowledge, individual perception, availability of facilities, access to health services, access to information, cadre support, and family support on the utilization of Posbindu PTM in the South Purwokerto Community Health Center area. The research design used is cross-sectional , the population is the productive age community with sampling using proportional random sampling technique of 110 people. Data collection through observation and questionnaire interviews. Research data analysis consists of univariate analysis, bivariate analysis, and multivariate analysis. Results: The utilization of Posbindu PTM in the Purwokerto Selatan Community Health Center Working Area was significantly influenced by access to information (p = 0.021; OR = 5.000; CI 95% = 1.268 – 19.714). Conclusions: Access to information is a significant factor influencing the utilization of Posbindu PTM in the South Purwokerto Community Health Center working area. Therefore, the dissemination of information regarding Posbindu PTM should be expanded through routine community activities and by strengthening the role of health cadres as key implementers. Enhancing these efforts will enable the South Purwokerto community to gain a better understanding of Posbindu and recognize the importance of preventing non-communicable diseases through early detection at Posbindu PTM.
