Abstract

ABSTRACTIntroduction. Complementary feeding (CF) practices have an essential role in determining the nutritional status of children. Children who are given early complementary feeding (ECF) are at risk of malnutrition. Besides, children with family farmers tend to have wasting or overweight because they cannot provide food in a variety, quantity, and quality according to the nutritional needs of their children. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the relationship of ECF with nutritional status in children 6-24 months towards family farmers. Methods. This correlational study was conducted using a cross-sectional approach. Samples were 75 children aged 6-24 months selected using purposive sampling. This research was conducted at Geger Health Center Bangkalan Regency. Data collection was done by giving questionnaires to children parents. Children's weight-for-height z-score (WHZ) were calculated using WHO Anthro version application 3.2.2. The chi-square test analyzed the association between CF and nutritional status. Result. The results of the study showed that the nutritional status of 75 children was normal (72%), overweight (25,3%), and wasted (2,7%). Most mothers have been given ECF since infants aged two months (29,3%) and 0 months (13%), which caused 36,4% of children to become overweight. Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between CF with nutritional status to children aged 6-24 months towards family farmers (p-value=0,033). Discussion. ECF caused children aged 6-24 months to become overweight. Therefore, it is hoped that health workers will always give health education to increase mothers' knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding to support the nutritional status of children aged 6-24 months towards family farmers. ABSTRAKPendahuluan.

Abstract

Introduction: The complexity of nursing problems arising in patients with pulmonary TB requires professional handling in collaboration between health workers in hospitals. It is used to improve the quality of life and quality of care in patients with TB. However, the application of interprofessional collaboration in some cases of the disease has not been optimalPurpose: Analyze Interprofessional Collaboration in the Care of Pulmonary TB Clients in one of the hospitals in Jember, Indonesia Methods: This study is a case study conducted in one of the hospitals in Jember, Indonesia. The researcher uses the IPC readiness checklist and fills out the IPC implementation evaluation checklist after the patient goes home. Results: The result of this study stated that the implementation of IPC by PPJA, together with other health workers, has not been optimally implemented. In this case, the application of interprofessional collaboration is still not optimal, as evidenced by the results of the IPC implementation checklist assessment, which is still in score categories 1 and 2. There are several obstacles, such as lack of communication between professions, lack of application of PCC and FCC approaches, overlapping roles and responsibilities, stereotypes from one profession to another, and feelings of inferiority to PPJA. PPJA can maximize its role in conducting IPC to improve patient-focused care; thus, the patient quality of life will increase. Conclusion: PPJA can maximize its role in conducting IPC to improve patient-focused care; thus, the patient quality of life will increase.

Abstract

Euthanasia remains a contentious issue in Indonesia, where it is currently prohibited by law, creating significant challenges in balancing human rights, legal standards, and medical ethics. This research explores the legal framework, human rights considerations, and medical perspectives surrounding euthanasia in Indonesia, with a comparative analysis of practices in the Netherlands. Employing a normative legal research methodology, it utilizes legislative analysis, case studies, and comparative approaches to examine the regulatory gaps and societal implications of euthanasia in Indonesia. The findings reveal that while active euthanasia is explicitly criminalized under Indonesian law, passive euthanasia occurs discreetly within society, reflecting a legal and ethical gray area. Comparatively, the Netherlands' regulated approach provides valuable insights into balancing patient autonomy and societal ethics. This study concludes that Indonesia could benefit from legalizing passive euthanasia under stringent conditions, aligned with human rights principles and cultural values. This legalization would require robust regulatory frameworks, including judicial oversight and ethical guidelines, to ensure accountability and safeguard vulnerable groups. The findings underscore the urgency of harmonizing legal, human rights, and medical perspectives to address this complex issue while respecting Indonesia's unique socio-cultural context.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a condition characterised by anomalies in insulin production, action, or both, which result in hyperglycemia and insufficient management of blood glucose levels. Patients, their families, and the healthcare system must bear a heavy burden when it comes to the long-term management of diabetes mellitus (DM) via medication and lifestyle changes. To lower the prevalence of diabetes, especially in rural regions, this project aims to explore the possibility of incorporating the Family- Centered Empowerment Model (FCEM) into a digital application. Using a literature review technique, this study gathered information from books, articles from relevant organizations, and journal publications. The search was conducted using keywords like Empowerment, Family, Diabetes, Telehealth, and FCEM to find sites that fit the inclusion requirements. According to the findings, the FCEM intervention significantly improves quality of life, psychological management, physical activity, and health education in addition to encouraging lifestyle changes. Additionally, it raises health literacy, which boosts psychological support, increases adherence to blood sugar management, and lessens disease-related anxiety.

Abstract

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has become acutely aware of the devastating impact of infectious diseases on public health, economies, and societies. As we gradually recover from the aftermath of COVID-19, another potential threat looms on the horizon, mpox, formerly known as monkeypox. The recent surge in mpox cases worldwide has prompted health authorities to sound an alarm, and Indonesia, as a populous nation with a complex healthcare system, must ask itself: Are we prepared for this emerging challenge?. The question "Are we prepared?" may not have a simple yes or no answer. Instead, it should serve as a reminder of the need for vigilance, adaptation, and continuous improvement in public health systems. As we navigate this new health challenge, the true measure of Indonesia's preparedness is its ability to respond swiftly, effectively, and equitably to protect the health and well-being of all citizens.
