Abstract

Bagi masyarakat adat, hubungan manusia dengan alam sangatlah penting. Ketergantungan manusia pada alam membuat perlakuan dan penghormatan kepada alam menjadi bagian dari nilai hidup yang dianut. Ketika terjadi perubahan dalam memperlakukan alam, maka terjadi pergeseran dan perubahan pada nilai yang mereka anut. Pohon aren merupakan simbol penting dalam lahirnya kampung adat Dukuh di Garut, Jawa Barat. Namun demikian, pergeseran nilai aren secara ekonomis menjadikan pengelolaan pohon itu semakin berkurang. Hal itu tentunya dapat mengancam nilai-nilai dan kebertahanan budaya masyarakat adat tersebut. Melalui penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode etnografi, penelitian ini bermaksud mengungkap aspek historis dan makna budaya pohon aren bagi masyarakat adat Dukuh melalui pendekatan ekologi budaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat adat memiliki kekayaan pengetahuan khusus dalam mengelola pohon aren yang berbasis kearifan lokal. Lebih jauh, pohon aren juga memiliki makna kultural yang penting yang menggambarkan pandangan hidup masyarakat adat Dukuh. Fungsi terpenting pohon aren bagi masyarakat dukuh adalah untuk menjaga ketahanan budaya sebagai salah satu bahan baku rumah adat, dan media pewarisan nilai-nilai budaya. Kata kunci: pohon aren, pola penanaman tradisional, makna budaya, masyarakat adat, kampung Dukuh

Abstract

Ruang publik merupakan elemen penting dalam pengembangan pariwisata budaya, khususnya sebagai ruang bagi disajikannya atraksi seni. Dorongan pemerintah melalui UU Kepariwisataan Nomor 10 tahun 2009 dan UU Pemajuan Kebudayaan Nomor 5 tahun 2017 telah mendorong sejumlah kelompok masyarakat berinisiatif dalam mengembangkan ruang publik untuk kepentingan pengembangan seni budaya lokal untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, melalui pariwisata budaya. Salah satunya dalah Rumah Budaya CKLT di desa Cijambe kecamatan Cikelet, Garut, yang memiliki fokus pada pendampingan dalam rekonstruksi maupun revitalisasi seni tradisi dan penyelenggaraan kegiatan budaya yang dikemas menjadi daya tarik wisata. Melalui pendekatan participatory action research (PAR), penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya aspek pemberdayaan masyarakat, dan keterlibatan masyarakat secara aktif dalam penelitian. Metode dalam pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan FGD. Community-based tourism merupakan konsep penting dalam melihat keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengemasan paket wisata ini. Hasilnya adalah 1) pendeskripsikan potensi seni dan aktivitas budaya di desa yang dapat menjadi materi atau bahan dalam pengemasan paket seni, 2) ruang publik di Rumah Budaya CKLT didesain sedemikian rupa agar dapat memenuhi fungsi ruang atraksi seni budaya yang dapat manjadi tujuan dari kunjungan pariwisata, 3) pengemasan paket wisata seni dapat dikembangkan sebagai sarana untuk peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat Kata kunci: ruang publik, pariwisata budaya, pengemasan seni budaya, peningkatan ekonomi

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menganalisis tentang korelasi lirik lagu Cigawiran dengan konsep pandangan hidup orang Sunda, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik, dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Langkah-langkah penelitian dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan narasumber Cigawiran dan melalui studi pustaka. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa konsep hidup orang Sunda yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu Cigawiran dibagi menjadi 5 bagian yaitu: tentang manusia dengan Tuhan, tentang manusia dengan alam, tentang manusia dengan lingkungan sekitar, tentang manusia sebagai pribadinya, dan tentang manusia dalam mengejar kepuasan lahiriah dan batiniahnya. Sedangkan bahasa simbolik yang digunakan dalam lirik lagu Cigawiran untuk mengungkap konsep kehidupan orang Sunda adalah melalui teori interaksi simbolik, dan gaya bahasa pada lirik lagu. Kata kunci: konsep kehidupan orang Sunda, lirik lagu Cigawiran ABSTRACT This study analyzes the correlation of the lyrics of the song Cigawiran with the concept of the Sundanese view of life, this study uses a descriptive analytic method, with a qualitative approach. The research steps were carried out through interviews with Cigawiran resource persons and through literature studies. From the results of the research conducted, it can be seen that the Sundanese concept of life contained in the lyrics of the song Cigawiran is divided into 5 parts, namely: about humans and God, about humans and nature, about humans and the surrounding environment, about humans as individuals, and about humans in pursuit of life. Abstract

Kampung Adat Dukuh is a traditional village that maintains its ancestors’ traditions and cultural values, especially from Islamic teachings. This traditional village receives regular visits from pilgrims every Saturday. Continuous visits by outsiders to this area have given rise to various potential socio-cultural vulnerabilities among the indigenous community. Therefore, an effort is needed to manage the visits of these pilgrims as a potential for well-managed religious tourism that can control the boundaries that maintain the sustainability and comfort of the lives of indigenous people. One of them is developing a digital platform to promote the richness of the traditions and culture of Dukuh Village while maintaining its values by properly documenting them following the etiquette in Dukuh Village. This article aims to see the changes and potential for empowering Dukuh Village as a religious tourism destination and disseminating information about its cultural practices through digital platforms. By using qualitative methods and developing the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method combined with ethnographic work, this study pays attention to community involvement in this empowerment. The study results show that the young generation of Kampung Dukuh has a solid ability to adapt and learn by making the digital platform a space for expression and maintaining the values of the wisdom of Kampung Dukuh by presenting accurate information using an insider perspective.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the failure of formal education systems to integrate traditional ecological knowledge into the curriculum, thereby creating a gap between indigenous wisdom values and practices in climate change education. This research aimed to develop an integrated learning model based on the Dukuh indigenous community's ecological wisdom for environmental education in the climate crisis era. A participatory ethnographic approach was employed, involving 38 participants comprising teachers, students, indigenous leaders, and community members. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, photovoice documentation, and participant observation conducted between March and August 2025 in Kampung Adat Dukuh, West Java, Indonesia. Thematic analysis revealed a sophisticated five-function land management system (tutupan, garapan, larangan, titipan, cadangan) and a pamali governance mechanism with compliance rates ranging from 71% to 92%. A significant implementation gap was identified where 83% of teachers understood local wisdom values, yet only 17% systematically integrated them into formal curricula due to structural barriers including limited ethnopedagogical training (88%), curriculum inflexibility (82%), and academic achievement orientation pressures (76%). Based on these findings, the EcoPedagogy Culture model is developed, comprising four interconnected pillars: experiential learning, storytelling, ritual-based learning, and apprenticeship. Student preferences strongly favor experiential approaches (94% positive response) and practical demonstrations (88% engagement), compared to traditional lectures (31% engagement). The model demonstrates that students participating in experiential learning sessions achieve 67% higher retention of ecological concepts compared to classroom-only instruction. This research provides an empirically grounded framework for bridging Traditional Ecological Knowledge and formal education systems, offering pathways for climate change adaptation through revitalization of indigenous ecological wisdom in educational contexts.
