Abstract

The development of technology and information, some educators no longer develop traditional learning. This affected Islamic boarding schools in Madura, some students still could not read the yellow book. Meanwhile, ustadz and kyai have not been creative in developing the yellow book learning. This study aims to analyze the learning of Arabic (Kitab kuning with the sorongan and bandongan traditions approach. The setting of this research is the Babul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Pamekasan. The subjects of this research consist of ustadz, kiyai, and students. This research is qualitative research based on case studies. Data were collected using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was strengthened by the theory of Miles and Huberman. Namely reduction, display, presentation, and verification of data. The results of the study found that the sorongan and bandongan approaches affected students' learning outcomes 75% of students' learning progress increased significantly. The sorongan and bandongan approaches are still preserved in Madura as a pesantren education culture that leads to the traditional model. Although kiyai and ustadz continue to improve their ability to implement the yellow book material.

Abstract

Arabic language education across all levels, including primary, tertiary, and Islamic boarding schools, has progressed lately. However, a gap persists between institutional expectations and the practical realities due to students' insufficient proficiency in Arabic. Research aims to analyze this learning. 75-80% of students, including santri, pupils, and university attendees, lack Arabic comprehension. Employing qualitative methods, specifically a case study approach, the study involves ustadz, teachers, and students. Data analysis employs reduction, display, and verification. Findings show that the 4.0 revolution prompts educational institutions to enhance teachers' competencies. Both modern and conventional approaches aim for creative and innovative teaching. Modern-based research emphasizes improving muhadasah, covering fusohah balaghah. Researchers propose impactful, practical suggestions, aiding educators and presenting a modern learning model to meet the challenges of the 4.0 Revolution.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan utama untuk mengenali dan menganalisis langkah-langkah yang diterapkan oleh Kepala Sekolah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Krapyak Godean melalui pengembangan infrastruktur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, dan data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan Kepala Sekolah, guru PAI, dan pihak-pihak terkait lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kepala Sekolah telah menerapkan beberapa strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI. Strategi tersebut mencakup perencanaan yang teliti dalam pengembangan infrastruktur, pengadaan bahan pembelajaran yang relevan, serta pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional bagi guru PAI. Selain itu, penggunaan teknologi pendidikan juga telah diterapkan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas proses pembelajaran. Dalam upayanya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI, Kepala Sekolah secara aktif melibatkan semua pihak yang terkait, termasuk dewan guru, orang tua siswa, dan komite sekolah. Kerjasama yang baik antara semua pihak ini menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang mendukung bagi siswa untuk memahami nilai-nilai agama dan karakter yang baik. Dengan demikian, strategi yang telah diterapkan oleh Kepala Sekolah di SD Negeri Krapyak Godean untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI melalui pengembangan infrastruktur telah memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman siswa tentang Pendidikan Agama Islam. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan pendidikan tingkat dasar dan menjadi referensi bagi sekolah lain dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran agama.

Abstract

The ISMUBA curriculum is a unique curriculum which used holistic-integrative matters. In a student-centered learning era, the existence of such curriculum is important and meaningful especially combine with project-based learning. Therefore, this study aims to explore project-based learning, as a development of the holistic-integrative ISMUBA curriculum. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Sapen Yogyakarta. This research approach is qualitative research based on field studies. The subjects of this study consisted of teachers and students. Data were obtained by interview, observation, and documentation methods. Data analysis was carried out using three steps namely display, reduction, and verification techniques. The results of the study were obtained. Project-based learning is an important component in developing the ISMUBA curriculum at SD Muhammadiyah Sapen Yogyakarta. The concepts built in project-based learning encourage students to think critically, creatively, and innovatively to support 21st-century learning skills that are relevant to UNESCO concepts. Learning to know and learning to do are teaching developments that improve students' critical thinking, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. This research implies that the development of the ISMUBA curriculum is the answer to the four-pillar learning targets issued by UNESCO.

Abstract

Abstract This study analyzes the strengthening of primary healthcare services to support the resilience of the National Health Insurance (JKN) from an Islamic perspective through a case study at PKU Muhammadiyah Kotagede Hospital, Yogyakarta. This research's primary focus is applying Islamic principles such as justice, compassion, and social responsibility in managing primary healthcare services. The methodology is qualitative, utilizing in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis for data collection. The findings reveal that integrating Islamic values in healthcare services at PKU Kotagede enhances accessibility and service quality while supporting JKN resilience by reducing the burden on secondary services and improving cost efficiency. This research contributes to the health literature by demonstrating how a religion-based approach can strengthen national health systems and offers practical recommendations for developing other healthcare services grounded in religious values in Indonesia. Abstract

The Qur'an was revealed as a rahmatan lil alamin (mercy to all creations) and a guide for harmonious living. Muslims believe it to be a holy scripture revealed to Prophet Muhammad to establish peace and harmony. However, in the modern era, this ideal often contrasts with reality, as seen in the case of differing determinations of the 1444 AH Eid al-Fitr celebration, which sparked social conflict. This study aims to analyze the role of the Qur'an as an instrument of harmonization from the perspective of religious moderation. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, focusing on the conflict in Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis involves reduction, presentation, and verification. The findings indicate a decline in values such as tolerance, empathy, and harmony among Muslims, driven by social jealousy and a lack of understanding of religious moderation. As a solution, this study recommends that the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) support research aligned with the Ministry of Religious Affairs' policies on religious moderation and emphasizes the importance of implementing these values to shape Muslims as ummatan wasatan (a middle and just nation).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of Islamic religious education, to determine the conditions of innovation that had been carried out by Islamic religious education teachers and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of Islamic religious education teacher innovation in developing students' spiritual intelligence. The method used in writing this research is the observation method, interview method and documentation method. while the author's data analysis using descriptive qualitative analysis. the results of the study concluded that: the implementation of Islamic religious education learning at SMK Negeri 1 Kebumen is quite good. The innovation that has been carried out by the teacher to develop students' spiritual intelligence is with learning media that is adapted to the method used. The driving and inhibiting factors of the innovation of Islamic religious education teachers in developing spiritual intelligence include: from students of different levels of intelligence, and awareness of the students themselves, while from the teacher because of the teacher's ability to create an interesting learning atmosphere and master many methods and adjust it, time, accuracy of media and learning methods.

Abstract

Tujuan –  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis otak guna meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta, khususnya pada mata pelajaran bahasa Arab. Metode – Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan melibatkan guru dan siswa sebagai partisipan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta validitas data dijaga dengan triangulasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan/verifikasi kesimpulan. Hasil – Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Arab siswa, khususnya dalam aspek mufrodat (kosa kata) dan muhadasah (percakapan). Penilaian ahli materi memberikan skor rata-rata 5,0 dari dua orang ahli, dan penilaian desain media memperoleh skor 4,83 dan 3,66. Media ini diuji coba pada 20 siswa dan 2 guru, dengan hasil yang menunjukkan peningkatan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Implikasi – Integrasi prinsip neurosains dalam media pembelajaran bahasa Arab menunjukkan potensi yang menjanjikan untuk memodernisasi praktik pengajaran dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada jenjang pendidikan menengah kejuruan.

Abstract

This study examines classroom management based on humanist education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Semanu (MIM Semanu). The study aims to describe the implementation of classroom management and identify the factors that support and hinder it. A descriptive qualitative research method was employed, involving the principal, homeroom teachers for grades 1-4, and students as subjects. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation, with data validity ensured through triangulation of sources and techniques. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman's framework, encompassing data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that MIM Semanu has implemented humanist classroom management practices, including strategic seating arrangements, educational classroom decorations, adequate ventilation and lighting, and structured class management. Guidance is provided in a friendly and fair manner, and student grouping is attractively organized according to class conditions. Supporting factors include adequate facilities and infrastructure, enthusiastic students, and innovative educators. Conversely, inhibiting factors comprise some students' difficulties in receiving material, lack of awareness of obligations, and the diversity of students, which complicates the provision of personalized attention.

Abstract

Abstract The urgency of transforming education in the digital era is increasingly relevant due to technological advancements that drive changes in learning methods. The use of digital platforms, such as TRELLO, provides opportunities to optimize shifts in student mindsets in learning, particularly in the subject of Ismuba (Islamic Studies, Muhammadiyah Studies, and Arabic Language). This transformation in learning aims to enhance active student engagement, critical thinking skills, and collaboration through integrating technology that aligns with the characteristics of the digital age. This research aims to explore and evaluate the use of TRELLO as a learning aid to facilitate changes in student mindsets in Ismuba education. Through a narrative review approach, this study analyses various literature related to implementing technology in education, mindset changes, and the application of TRELLO in the context of Islamic education. Data was collected from various relevant academic and practical sources. The findings suggest that TRELLO, as a learning medium, can have a positive impact on changing students’ mindsets to be more proactive, innovative, and organized. TRELLO, with its collaborative features, also helps create a more interactive and organized learning environment, making it easier for students to follow the learning flow more effectively. The conclusion of this research states that the use of TRELLO in Ismuba education can support a more effective educational transformation process in the digital era. The integration of this digital platform not only increases students’ motivation to learn but also teaches them essential management and collaboration skills needed for the future. The contribution of this research is to provide practical guidance for educators in leveraging technology, particularly TRELLO, to enhance the quality of Ismuba education and foster a more adaptive mindset among students in response to change.   Abstrak Urgensi transformasi pendidikan di era digital semakin relevan dengan kemajuan teknologi yang mendorong perubahan dalam metode pembelajaran. Penggunaan platform digital, seperti TRELLO, memberikan peluang untuk mengoptimalkan perubahan mindset siswa dalam pembelajaran, khususnya dalam mata pelajaran Ismuba (Al-Islam, Kemuhammadiyahan, dan Bahasa Arab). Transformasi pembelajaran ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan kolaborasi melalui integrasi teknologi yang sesuai dengan karakteristik era digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengevaluasi penggunaan TRELLO sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran untuk memfasilitasi perubahan mindset siswa dalam pembelajaran Ismuba. Melalui pendekatan narrative review, penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai literatur terkait implementasi teknologi dalam pendidikan, perubahan mindset, dan penerapan TRELLO dalam konteks pendidikan Islam. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber akademis dan praktis yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TRELLO sebagai media pembelajaran dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam mengubah mindset siswa menjadi lebih proaktif, inovatif, dan terstruktur. TRELLO juga membantu menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang kolaboratif dan terorganisir, serta memudahkan siswa untuk mengikuti alur pembelajaran dengan lebih baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa penggunaan TRELLO dalam pembelajaran Ismuba dapat mendukung proses transformasi pendidikan yang lebih efektif di era digital. Integrasi platform digital ini tidak hanya meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, tetapi juga mengajarkan mereka keterampilan manajemen dan kolaborasi yang diperlukan di masa depan. Kontribusi penelitian ini adalah memberikan panduan praktis bagi para pendidik dalam memanfaatkan teknologi, khususnya TRELLO, untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Ismuba dan membentuk mindset siswa yang lebih adaptif terhadap perubahan.
