Abstract

Indonesia has a population problem with a population of approximately 250 million people. Approximately 34.3% of women of childbearing age in Indonesia mostly use cyclofem injection contraception and DMPA as a contraceptive method of choice. Weight gain, depression, disturbances in the menstrual cycle, depression, fluor albus, acne are some of the side effects caused by the use of DMPA contraception. This study aims to analyze the relationship between duration of use of DMPA injectable contraception and weight gain in WUS. design in this study was cross sectional, sample was determined using purposive sampling technique and the sample used was 50 WUS respondents. e time of the study was carried out in January-August 2021. data were analyzed using univariate and bivariat analysis using the Chi-square test. results showed that as many as 66% of DMPA injection family planning acceptors with a period of use > 24 months experienced an increase in body weight of 1-8 kg with a p-value of 0.001. From this study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between duration of use of DMPA contraception to increase in WUS weight. DMPA acceptors who have used the contraceptive for > 24 months can increase the hormone progesterone which has an effect on increasing appetite. For this reason, it is recommended for acceptors who have used DMPA for a period of > 24 months to be able to regulate a balanced diet and nutrition as well as physical activities or sports.

Abstract

Adolescence, also called puberty, is a unique transitional period characterized by various physical, emotional and psychological changes. Adolescents are in a very sensitive situation to the influence of new values, especially for those who do not have the power to resist. They tend to be easier to adjust to the flow of globalization and the free flow of information which can lead to changes in deviant behavior. The impact of social media is as follows, adolescents become addicted to using social networks without paying attention to time limits, adolescents can access freely everything on social media until adolescents are at risk of having free dating behavior in the real world. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between knowledge about reproductive health and risky dating behavior. This type of research is descriptive using a cross sectional approach.  The population in this study was adolescents aged 15 – 19 years. in RW 01 Rawa Terate, East Jakarta, there were 75 people based on the calculation of purposive sampling. The questionnaire used in this study was the Gutman scale with univariate analysis. The results of the statistical test of the level of knowledge  of reproductive health with risky dating behavior using Chi-Square, obtained Pvalue values of 0.003 < 0.05  and Odds Ratio 5.333. Thus, it can be interpreted that there is a relationship between reproductive health knowledge and dating behavior in adolescents.  Advice for adolescents in RW 01 Rawa Terate, it is hoped that adolescents can use social media well so that they can increase knowledge related to reproductive health and avoid risky dating.

Abstract

Menurut WHO tahun 2015 di Indonesia diperkirakan 36% atau sekitar 60 juta pendduduk Indonesia merokok secara rutin. Berdasarkan berbagai survey, perilaku merokok sudah mulai dilakukan oleh generasi penerus bangsa mulai dari usia sekolah. Tujuan PKM ini untuk memberikan pendidikan kesehatan kepada para warga yang bertempat tinggal di Kelurahan Cawang Jakarta Timur. Kegiatan diilaksanakan melalui Metode Ceramah dilanjutkan dengan diskusi dan Tanya jawab. Hasil dari pengabdian ini, jika dilihat berdasarkan nilai pretest dan posttest rata-rata terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan warga dari sebelumnya 50% menjadi 80%. Hasil diskusi untuk dapat mencegah dan mengurangi kebiasaan merokok berasal dari diri sendiri dan lingkungan, Selain itu para warga diharapkan dapat memahami tentang dampak kebiasaan merokok dan dapat memberikan informasi kepada keluarga dan khalayak khususnya para pemuda tentang dampak kebiasaan merokok.

Abstract

The proportion of the elderly population in Indonesia has a positive or negative impact, it is said to be positive if the elderly population is in a healthy, active and productive condition. The elderly become a burden if they have health problems such as degenerative diseases. In this study, the authors looked for the Causes of Degenerative Disease in Elderly Women. This study used 50 elderly women for sample. This research design used cross sectional, data collection techniques through questionnaires. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between degenerative diseases in the elderly with diet, physical activity, rest patterns, and health care support for the elderly. Meanwhile, smoking habit with p-value = 0.283 meant that statistically there was no correlation between smoking habits and degenerative diseases, this was because the proportion of elderly women who smoke and had degenerative diseases was less. The conclusion of the research was the productivity of women in youth and lifestyle had an effect on women's health in old age.
