Abstract

This study aims to see how effective the type C passive filter is in reducing harmonic currents generated by the electrodynamometer induction motor trainer. The method used in this study is to model a C-type passive filter and simulate it with computer software. The type C passive filter modeling is designed to reduce harmonics in the thirty-fifth order. From the observation results, it was found that the thirty-fifth order harmonic current was 1.5% while the IEEE 519-2014 standard limits the thirty-fifth order harmonic current to 1.0%, which has exceeded the permitted standard. After the simulation, the type C passive filter successfully reduced the existing harmonics so that the harmonic content was 0.95%. From the results of this simulation, it can be concluded that the type C passive filter successfully reduced the harmonic content in the thirty-fifth order to 36.29%. This harmonic reduction has also been below the maximum value permitted by the IEEE 519 – 2014 standard at the thirty-fifth order so that the passive filter is effective in reducing the thirty-fifth harmonic produced by the electrodynamometer induction motor trainer.

Abstract

Computers have helped humans work better and help in solving problems. Computers continued to evolve and innovation continued, starting with the first very large computers and evolving into the modern, commonly used desktops. When there is a problem with the computer device, such as damage to the computer components. Most people immediately take it to a computer repair service technician. An expert system is a component of artificial intelligence. In order for computers to solve issues in the same way that professionals do, expert systems attempt to incorporate human knowledge into computers. A single technique inside the expert system is the Dempster Shafer technique. The Dempster-Shafer technique is a mathematically based approach that incorporates uncertainty and features traits of expert thought. The research was carried out by detecting computer damage based on the sound that comes out when the BIOS performs a POST (Power On Self-Test) using the Dempster-Shafer method. Users can determine the kind of damage their machine has sustained without having to visit a computer repair service provider directly by using the Dempster Shafer approach.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has brought significant changes to library management, shifting from conventional systems toward the Smart Library concept, which is more modern, efficient, and interactive. This study aims to implement fast-scanning technology based on QR Code and RFID in the management system for book collections, borrowing, and returning processes at SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the prototyping model, which includes stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and limited testing within the school environment. The implementation results show an increase in library service efficiency by up to 65% compared to the manual method, along with a reduction in recording errors and improved convenience for students in locating and borrowing books. Therefore, the application of a Smart Library system utilizing fast-scanning technology has proven to be effective and feasible as an innovative digital solution to support the transformation of library services in vocational schools
