Abstract

This research aims to study the sedimentation in the river estuary waters Angsana district. Angsana Tanah Bumbu regency. Influence the flow of the stream sediment is carried sediment toward the beach and left it on the beach to be affected by the waves.  Measurement results of the direction and speed of the flow field shows that the speed of the current (at the prodding shoreline position from west to east), showed that when the water towards the tide, the direction of the flow moving eastward with a maximum speed of 0.0595 m / s.  Whereas the at low tide current direction to move westward with a speed smaller 0.0108 m / s.  Shape, size and weight of the soil particles will determine the number and size of freight sedimen.  Angsana beach sediment grain dominant form of sand and gravel. The dominant type of sediment in the waters of Angsana sand (sand), with a percentage between 97.6% to 99.7%. Sediment transport volume is highest in the alongshore transport rate reached 1,455 cm3/jam with sediment heading East towards the sea.

Abstract

Seaweed is a food commodity with benefits in the food industry, pharmaceuticals and others. Muara Pagatan Village is located in Kusan Hilir District, Tanah Bumbu Regency. According to Mughni (2021), Muara Pagatan Village has 12 households with seaweed cultivation. Based on that, it is necessary to study the development strategy of seaweed cultivation in Muara Pagatan Village. The approach used in the acquisition of seaweed aquaculture development strategies is the SWOT approach (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) and a participatory approach involving stakeholders, government and the community of Muara Pagatan Village, this research uses questionnaires distributed to representatives of RTP Muara Pagatan Village. The results of this study include 4 SWOT parameters which include, strengths in the form of land feasibility/potential, growth rate, accessibility and quality of seeds, for weaknesses in the form of limited capital, less innovative and not optimal production results. Meanwhile, opportunities include high demand, cooperation with other parties, government assistance, lack of competitors and availability of labor, for threat parameters include industrial activities, pests and diseases, weather, abrasion and prices. After that, SWOT analysis was carried out in obtaining seaweed cultivation development strategies, there were 9 priority strategies obtained based on SWOT parameters.

Abstract

The nature of the soil is massive and saline, not fertile for horticultural crops such as shallots and mustard greens. The soil properties of Tidal Wetland Type-A (direct), the soil sample mentioned above, is known from the analysis results to have an EC value of 153.5 ds/m (very high), Na (1 NH4Oac) 1.21 me/ 100 g soil (very high), pH (1: 5 H2O) 6.74 (neutral), C-organic (Walkley-Black) 2.08% (medium), clay soil texture (clay 76%) and massive structure, Such land is very difficult for agricultural plants such as horticulture to grow, because it is difficult for the soil to pass water and salt which poisons plants. The application of sand, irrigation methods, and organic materials can change the properties of the soil and support the growth of shallots and mustard greens.
