Abstract

Ahmad Yani International Airport has a Baggage Handling System which is a conveyor that has an automatic system to transport luggage from the check-in counter to the plane or from the plane to the passenger. However lack of response time when the emergency stop is pressed which can result in baggage accumulation and overload on the motor, without an emergency stop indicator and the number of emergency stop push buttons is more than one, making it difficult for technicians and takes a lot of time to find a pressed emergency stop. To be effective, it is necessary to design an emergency stop light indicator. By adding wiring that is connected to each emergency stop to provide input to the emergency stop lamp so as not to manually search for the emergency stop button that is pressed

Abstract

The inadequate information among high school students towards the airport mechanical engineering (TMB) has urged the need to publicize TMB more extensively. One of the endeavors is to conduct activities introducing the clean water distribution system at the airport as an implementation of one of the competencies of the TMB, namely the Water Pumping System. The purpose of this activity is not only to attract the interest of participants to continue their education at PPI Curug, especially in the TMB but also to provide basic knowledge about clean water distribution. This activity was attended by students from SMK Penerbangan Dirgantara along with companion teachers. The activity was conducted using two methods: delivering the material in the classroom, followed by practical exercises in the Water Pumping System laboratory. The participants were then evaluated during working on a simulation project of clean water distribution. Through this community service activity, participants gained not only knowledge and information about the TMB and its competencies but also acquired knowledge and skills related to the clean water distribution system. They had the opportunity to directly practice and experience the clean water distribution system and the piping system.

Abstract

This design was made based on problem on the hydrant system, namely the ressure gauge shows the pressure in the hydrant system dropping from 8 bar continuously. There is damage to the pump components in the hydrant system, namely, the impeller is eroded and the seal in the implementation of the dry pump so that the jockey pump cannot provide output air pressure in the hydrant system. Therefore, a pump damage protection was made which functions to turn off the pump when it cannot circulate air for 30 seconds. In the implementation of making arduinobased tools. Arduino works when the pump is on, the flow sensor detects the presence of water or not. If the flow sensor detects no air flow within 30 seconds when the pump is running, the relay will get input and turn off the pump. When the pump is off, the LED and buzzer light up to indicate that the pump is running without dispensing water.

Abstract

Since the official revocation of PPKM throughout Indonesia on 30 December 2022. The number of passengers, especially international passengers, at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport has increased by 235% compared to the number of arrivals in 2021. Terminal temperature measurements are routinely carried out in the customs area at the international terminal in July and August proving that something was wrong with the performance of the distribution components of cold air to the area. However, due to reasons of convenience and lack of the number of workers, the inspections were not completely held optimal. So the research was done to find out the main cause of the calculation method is to look for the CFM value in the current AHU condition which will then be compared with the standard AHU CFM value. In addition, the amount of loss incurred in both conditions (current and standard conditions) is also calculated to find out which option produces lower costs and shows a higher level of effectiveness.

Abstract

The Genset, which is an extension of the generator set, served as a replacement when PLN (National Electric Company) turned off. The generator consists of a generator/alternator and a machine/machine. These generators use solar fuel (diesel) or gasoline. The fuel used must be of good quality because if contaminated with other substances, it will cause damage and can be fatal because the airport does not have electricity reserves.The issues discussed include how the generator works, what to do if damage occurs, and how to deal with fuel contamination. In this study, research methods directly by jumping into the field are used to perform observations and analyses.

Abstract

Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas layanan yang efektif dan efisien, koperasi profesional memerlukan peralatan pendukung seperti perkantoran yang mumpuni dan pengurus yang kompeten di bidangnya. Di bandara, eskalator menjadi perangkat penting yang membantu administrasi di terminal udara, terutama untuk memudahkan pelancong menuju pesawat tujuan. Penanganan cepat terhadap kerusakan eskalator sangat penting untuk menjaga kualitas pelayanan di bandara. ini menyajikan investigasi mengenai "Identifikasi dan Penyelesaian Masalah pada Sistem Rem Eskalator di Keberangkatan Domestik Bandara Internasional Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang". Pelaksanaan praktik kerja lapangan ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan pengetahuan tentang pemeliharaan eskalator di bandara. Eskalator di bandara berfungsi mempercepat pergerakan penumpang menuju pesawat, namun keamanan penumpang saat menggunakan eskalator juga harus diperhatikan. Pengecekan dan perbaikan eskalator harus dilakukan secara maksimal untuk memastikan kelayakannya. Laporan ini diharapkan menjadi media pengetahuan tentang permasalahan dan penyelesaian masalah pada eskalator serta operasional mekanikal di Bandara Internasional Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang
