Abstract

Covid-19 is a global pandemic that requires a coordinated worldwide response across all national health and healthcare systems. Identifying patients who are at high risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus is important to increase awareness before patients are further infected by the Covid-19 virus which can cause severe respiratory illness that requires special treatment in intensive care units (ICU). This study aims to predict ICU needs in patients infected with the Covid-19 virus. The value results from the prediction of ICU needs are used as a reference for hospitals to meet ICU needs for patients infected with Covid-19 so that they can increase ICU supplies. The prediction will be carried out using the Naïve Bayes algorithm method with optimization using the PSO algorithm. Based on the results of the study, the population size 20 with an accuracy value of the NBC algorithm was 87.03%, population size 40 with an accuracy value of 87.28, population size 60 obtained an accuracy of 87.13%, population size 80 with an accuracy value of 87.16 % and population size 100, the results obtained are 87.26% so that each population has an increase in the accuracy value.

Abstract

Studi ini bermaksud guna menganalisa pengaruh tata kelola perusahaan dan kinerja keuangan terhadap nilai perusahaan pada sektor kesehatan di bursa efek indonesia tahun 2016-2020. Indikator yang tata kelola perusahaan menggunakan dewan komisaris indepeden dan dewan komisaris. Kinerja Keuangan terdiri dari return on asset (ROA) dan return on equity (ROE) serta nilai perusahaan dengan indikator tobin’s q. Riset ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif, dan teknik penghimpunan data melalui metode sekunder. Analisis data memanfaatkan metode analisis regresi berganda. Output studi memaparkan bahwasannya dewan komisaris independen, ROA, ROE berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan, sedangkan dewan komisaris tidak mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan.

Abstract

Student engagement shows how much student involvement is in learning, where this is influenced by self-regulated learning. The aim of this research is to examine the effect of self-regulated learning on student engagement. The sample in this research was 125 respondents, who were students at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, Management study program taking Production Management classes. The research results show that there is a significant influence between self-regulated learning and student engagement. Students' ability to organize their own learning has a big influence on student engagement. So it is very important to encourage self-regulated learning abilities, especially when dealing with online learning.

Abstract

This research examines EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teachers' perceptions of peer observation as a tool for developing professionalism. This research uses a qualitative approach, a case study type at Medan High School. The subjects of this research took two EFL teachers as English teachers. Data was obtained through observation and in-depth interviews. Then the data was analyzed using the Miles & Huberman data analysis model which includes data condensation, data presentation and verification or conclusion. The research results show teachers' positive perceptions of peer observation as a tool for teacher professional development. In developing teacher professionalism, peer observation can improve the quality of learning because correlation and input from peers can provide better teaching methods and innovation. It can also support reflection and develop understanding because it builds collaboration by involving colleagues in observing each other in a reciprocal process to improve classroom teaching through self-reflection. Peer observation brings many benefits to teachers. This helps teachers solve problems they face in teaching and provides learning opportunities to acquire new teaching methods or strategies from colleagues. Therefore, this research recommends that teachers conduct peer observations to develop their professionalism. Through peer observation, teachers receive constructive feedback to improve their teaching.

Abstract

Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui korelasi antara kepuasan kerja, kecerdasan emosional, dan keterlibatan kerja, serta bagaimana faktor-faktor tersebut secara kolektif berdampak terhadap kinerja karyawan di Unit Pengembangan Utama PT PLN (Persero) Sumbagut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif dengan melakukan survEQ skala Likert kepada karyawa. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik PLS-SEM di SmartPLS. Prosedur ini meliputi pelaksanaan pengujian hipotesis, analisis inner dan outer model. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, terlihat adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara keterlibatan kerja, kecerdasan emosional, kepuasan kerja, dan kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, penelitian ini menekankan pengaruh tidak langsung keterlibatan kerja dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja karyawan yang dimediasi oleh kepuasan kerja. Analisis ini menekankan pentingnya keterlibatan kerja, kecerdasan emosional, kepuasan kerja di lingkungan Unit Pengembangan Utama PT PLN (Persero) Sumbagut.

Abstract

Pelatihan pemrograman JavaScript ini bertujuan untuk membekali siswa SMK dengan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk menjadi pengembang web yang kompeten. Melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang berbasis proyek dan didukung oleh tools berbasis android, siswa akan belajar membangun aplikasi web interaktif yang dinamis dan responsif. Materi pelatihan mencakup sintaks JavaScript, manipulasi DOM, event handling, asynchronous programming, dan best practices dalam pengembangan web. Diharapkan melalui pelatihan ini, siswa dapat mengembangkan minat yang berkelanjutan dalam bidang pemrograman dan siap untuk berkontribusi dalam pengembangan industri teknologi informasi di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of providing incentives and work discipline both partially and significantly on employee performance at the South Sumatra Regional Civil Service Agency. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population used in the inbi study is the total number of employees of the South Sumatra Regional Civil Service Agency. The technique of determining the number of samples uses saturated sampling which is the entire population used in the research sample, which is as many as 70 respondents. Data analysis used data quality tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis with t-test (partial), F test (simultaneous), and R-test. Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on the performance of used car employees at the South Sumatra Regional Civil Service Agency. The provision of incentives and work discipline simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees at the South Sumatra Regional Civil Service Agency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh pengungkapan Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) dan pengelolaan Intellectual Capital (IC) terhadap nilai perusahaan yang terdaftar di Indeks SRI-KEHATI pada Bursa Efek Indonesia selama periode 2021–2023. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan analisis regresi linear berganda dan pengukuran nilai perusahaan menggunakan rasio Tobin’s Q. Data sekunder yang digunakan diperoleh dari laporan tahunan, laporan keberlanjutan, dan laporan keuangan perusahaan‐perusahaan SRI-KEHATI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengungkapan CSR memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, yang mengindikasikan bahwa transparansi dan komitmen sosial yang kuat dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan investor dan reputasi perusahaan. Sebaliknya, pengelolaan IC yang diukur melalui Value Added Intellectual Coefficient (VAIC) tidak memberikan dampak positif seperti yang diharapkan; bahkan, temuan menunjukkan adanya kecenderungan pengaruh negatif. Hal ini menggambarkan adanya kesenjangan antara teori dan praktik dalam memanfaatkan aset tidak berwujud untuk menciptakan nilai tambah. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa perusahaan perlu mengintegrasikan strategi CSR dengan perbaikan manajemen IC guna mencapai keunggulan kompetitif yang berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan ilmu manajemen keberlanjutan serta menawarkan rekomendasi strategis bagi perusahaan dalam meningkatkan nilai pasar SRI-KEHATI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ukuran dewan komisaris, frekuensi pertemuan dewan komisaris, dan latar belakang pendidikan CEO terhadap nilai perusahaan (Tobin’s Q), serta menguji peran profitabilitas (ROA) sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menerapkan analisis lajur untuk menguji pengaruh langsung hubungan ukuran dewan komisaris, frekuensi pertemuan dewan komisaris, latar belakang pendidikan CEO terhadap nilai perusahaan (Tobin’s Q) dan pengaruh tidak langsungnya melalui profitabilitas (ROA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukuran dewan komisaris dan latar belakang pendidikan CEO tidak berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas. Namun, frekuensi pertemuan dewan komisaris berpengaruh positif terhadap profitabilitas. Terkait dengan nilai perusahaan, ukuran dewan komisaris dan latar belakang pendidikan CEO berpengaruh negatif, sementara frekuensi pertemuan dewan komisaris tidak berpengaruh secara langsung. Lebih lanjut, profitabilitas ditemukan berpengaruh negatif terhadap nilai perusahaan. Analisis mediasi mengungkapkan bahwa ROA tidak mampu memediasi pengaruh ukuran dewan komisaris dan latar belakang pendidikan CEO terhadap nilai perusahaan. Sebaliknya, ROA mampu memediasi pengaruh frekuensi pertemuan dewan komisaris terhadap nilai perusahaan, meskipun secara langsung frekuensi pertemuan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan kompleksitas hubungan antara karakteristik tata kelola, kualitas kepemimpinan, kinerja keuangan, dan nilai perusahaan, serta menyoroti peran profitabilitas sebagai mekanisme mediasi yang selektif.

Abstract

The machine learning training at SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru aims to introduce the basic concepts of machine learning, including Python programming and the use of the Scikit-Learn library. In the era of Industry 4.0, skills in artificial intelligence and machine learning are crucial to prepare students to compete in the workforce and technology sectors. This program was conducted through theoretical and practical methods, incorporating discussions, simulations, demonstrations, and assignments. Evaluations were carried out to measure participants' understanding before and after the training, with results showing significant improvement in students' understanding of basic machine learning concepts, such as algorithms and programming tools. Although most participants showed good understanding, some students still need further material reinforcement, especially regarding the application of machine learning in real projects. This training is expected to enhance students' technical skills and open career opportunities in information technology and artificial intelligence fields. With this program, students are expected to acquire foundational skills that are relevant for competing in the increasingly technology-driven global job market.
