Abstract

In the economic field, gold generally has three main functions, namely the monetary function, investment and industrial functions. In the financial world, prediction of the trend of gold price fluctuations is an important issue. Convolutional neural network algorithm is one of the popular algorithms in the image classification domain. But this algorithm can also be applied to 1-dimensional problems, such as predicting the next value in a sequence, be it a time series or the next word in a sentence. In this study, the Convolutional Neural Network algorithm was optimized with long shot time memory to predict the price of Indonesian gold from 1979 to 2021 with a total of 511 records. The test was carried out with three different epoch values, namely 50, 100 and 150 with a validity test using RMSE. From the test results, the smallest RMSE train value and RMSE validation are generated at epoch 150, which is 0.0138 for RMSE train and 0.0402 for RMSE validation.

Abstract

This research examines EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teachers' perceptions of peer observation as a tool for developing professionalism. This research uses a qualitative approach, a case study type at Medan High School. The subjects of this research took two EFL teachers as English teachers. Data was obtained through observation and in-depth interviews. Then the data was analyzed using the Miles & Huberman data analysis model which includes data condensation, data presentation and verification or conclusion. The research results show teachers' positive perceptions of peer observation as a tool for teacher professional development. In developing teacher professionalism, peer observation can improve the quality of learning because correlation and input from peers can provide better teaching methods and innovation. It can also support reflection and develop understanding because it builds collaboration by involving colleagues in observing each other in a reciprocal process to improve classroom teaching through self-reflection. Peer observation brings many benefits to teachers. This helps teachers solve problems they face in teaching and provides learning opportunities to acquire new teaching methods or strategies from colleagues. Therefore, this research recommends that teachers conduct peer observations to develop their professionalism. Through peer observation, teachers receive constructive feedback to improve their teaching.

Abstract

ESG is a topic and main concern for investors in making investment decisions. Investors assess the impact of ESG on company performance and ESG cannot be separated from the role of good GCG. With ESG and GCG, it is believed that it can improve company performance. This research was conducted to analyze how Company Value is influenced by ESG, and how GCG moderates the relationship between ESG and Company Value. The research was carried out using quantitative methods, the research population and sample were 78 companies, where the research data was secondary data obtained on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website in 2022. The research was carried out using SmartPLS version three. The research results illustrate that ESG has a positive impact on company value, and GCG cannot moderate the relationship between ESG and company value.

Abstract

Dalam era digital, bahasa pemrograman menjadi sangat penting karena berbagai aplikasi dan teknologi memerlukan pemrograman untuk beroperasi. Bahasa pemrograman digunakan dalam pengembangan website, aplikasi mobile, game, ilmu data, dan kecerdasan buatan yang semakin berkembang pesat. Belajar bahasa pemrograman menjadi penting untuk mempersiapkan diri menghadapi masa depan yang semakin digital. Penguasaan bahasa pemrograman dapat membantu memperluas keterampilan dan peluang karir di berbagai industri, seperti teknologi informasi dan perusahaan teknologi. SMK Migas Inovasi Riau menekankan pada pengembangan keterampilan praktis, termasuk keterampilan pemrograman C++. Metode kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan melalui penyuluhan, evaluasi awal, pelatihan, evaluasi proses, dan evaluasi hasil. Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman pemrograman bagi siswa SMK. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang pemrograman dan pentingnya teknologi informasi.

Abstract

Faktor yang dapat berdampak pada work performance karyawan adalah job crafting, work environment, dan work engagement. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis dampak job crafting, work environment, dan work engagement terhadap work performance pada karyawan medis di Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak YK Madira Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 80 responden yang merupakan karyawan medis di rumah sakit tersebut. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda untuk menentukan dampak variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil bahwa job crafting berdampak signifikan terhadap work performance. Hasil pengujian hipotesis secara parsial (Uji t) menunjukkan bahwa variabel job crafting memiliki dampak positif dan signifikan terhadap work performance, dengan nilai t-hitung sebesar 5,708 yang lebih besar dari t-tabel 1,668. Selain itu, work environment juga menunjukkan dampak positif dan signifikan dengan t-hitung sebesar 3,457, sementara work engagement memberikan dampak yang paling kuat dengan t-hitung sebesar 4,763. Pengujian secara simultan (Uji F) menunjukkan bahwa job crafting, work environment, dan work engagement secara bersama-sama berdampak signifikan terhadap work performance, dengan F-hitung sebesar 162,752 dan lebih besar dari F-tabel 2,49. Koefisien determinasi (R²) menunjukkan bahwa 86,0% variasi dalam work performance dapat dijelaskan oleh ketiga variabel tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan yang efektif terhadap job crafting, work environment, dan work engagement secara signifikan dapat berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawan medis di Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak YK Madira Palembang.

Abstract

Employee performance is one of the most important things in an institution because it plays a role in improving the quality of human resources. There are several factors that can influence performance, including organizational culture, work involvement and organizational commitment. The purpose of this research is to examine the role of work involvement and organizational commitment in mediating organizational culture and employee performance. The population in this study were all employees of regional II PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV. The sampling technique in this research used the Slovin formula and a sample of 80 respondents was obtained. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square (PLS) using SmartPLS 3.0 Software. The results of this research indicate that organizational culture influences employee performance. Organizational culture influences work engagement. Organizational culture influences organizational commitment. Work involvement influences employee performance. Organizational commitment influences employee performance. Work engagement is able to mediate the influence of organizational culture on employee performance. Organizational commitment is able to mediate the influence of organizational culture on employee performance.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Good Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility on company value with financial performance as an intervening variable in companies listed on the IDX ESG Leaders Index for 2021-2023. This research uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 46 companies listed on the IDX ESG Leaders Index for 2021-2023. The research results show that Good Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility have no effect on company value. Financial performance as an intervening variable is only able to mediate the influence of the Board of Directors, Independent Commissioners, and Corporate Social Responsibility on company value. However, financial performance is unable to mediate the influence of the Audit Committee on company value.
